00:30For 10 years, it has filled the stomachs of many devotees, pilgrims, and students of the Vedas.
00:36Such an ashram, for a few years, became a burden on the body due to the lack of God's blessings and has reached the present state.
01:13With 79.73 acres of land, the people who come to Dharmasathram are provided with proper facilities and cooking utensils.
01:21Over time, the land in Tamil Nadu has become unmanageable and is in a state of disarray.
01:25From the land in Pallanadu district alone, only Rs. 9 lakhs is coming in cash.
01:31The two jobs currently working here are paying Rs. 1,20,000 per month to the contractor.
01:37As the income is not sufficient, they are giving alms in connection with Amareshwar temple.
01:42In 2016, ten rooms were built for Krishna Pushkaras in Sathram.
01:47They were demolished without any support.
01:49In the end, the locals are expressing their regret that the Sathra was demolished due to the misuse of the land.
01:56Until 1960, there was a person who used to cook and serve food in Sathram.
02:02His name was Sathram Subbamma.
02:04He used to serve food to all those who came.
02:08Now, all those properties have been lost.
02:10If there is so much income and it is being destroyed,
02:15then no one has the desire to maintain the property.
02:19Without providing new facilities,
02:22even the facilities provided by the landlords in the past
02:25could not be managed properly.
02:30If we are in this state, what right do we have to maintain the property?
02:34This is the proof of that.
02:36After the separation of Tamil Nadu from Andhra,
02:38no one has seen the land of Thalambur, which was given to Sadavarthi Sathra.
02:43In 1969, when Sadar Sathram came under the control of Devadaya Saikha,
02:47that Saikha was also demolished.
02:49With this, in some of the Thalambur lands,
02:51when the Tamil Nadu government did not agree to the settlement,
02:54some more invasions took place.
02:56In the state of Devadaya Saikha,
02:58only 83.11 acres of Thalambur were in the control of Sadavarthi Sathram.
03:04In 2016, the Tamil Nadu government proposed to take the remaining lands under their control
03:09and distribute them to the state government.
03:14With this, on March 28, 2016,
03:16the state government received a revenue of Rs. 22.44 crores
03:20for distributing 83.11 acres of Thalambur to the state government.
03:23Criticism came that the value of the land did not match the revenue received,
03:26and that invasions took place in the land.
03:29With the support of some courts,
03:31another revenue of Rs. 60.30 crores was distributed.
03:35In 2019, the YCP government gave a response to the inquiry into the sale of Thalambur lands.
03:43The YCP did not care about the construction of Thalambur Sathram
03:47until it was decided that there were no violations in the inquiry.
03:50The YCP did not care about the construction of Thalambur Sathram
03:52The YCP did not care about the construction of Thalambur Sathram
03:55I sincerely hope that the devotees who come to the temples
03:59will keep the Thalambur Sathram here and make it a part of their heritage.
04:06The land that was given to us by the Tamil Nadu government
04:09was confiscated after the construction of Thalambur Sathram.
04:12As a result, we lost 470 acres of land there.
04:17Due to land confiscation, the Thalambur Sathram was confiscated.
04:25We are asking the local people to take action to make it a part of their heritage.
04:34The local people want the Kootami government to find a solution to this problem
04:38and to provide the devotees with the necessary materials for the construction of Thalambur Sathram.
04:44They are also suggesting that the Thalambur Sathram should be re-opened.
04:50If the government takes care of this issue, it will definitely be resolved.
04:54If you go to the Supreme Court and ask them to decide,
04:58they will say, what right do we have to say that this is our land?
