00:40There is nothing but the upcoming IPL season.

00:43So today we are in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here at UPAL in Hyderabad.

00:47This ground basically is the home ground for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

00:59So we will just have a look.

01:01Actually the renovation works are going at a big space.

01:04So today with me, I have the HCA President, Mr. Jaganmohan Rao.

01:07We will try to find out some more insights about the stadium.

01:16I want to ask you how the renovation works are going?

01:19You are seeing beautiful stadium now.

01:21Renovated canopies, new lighting, new seating and upgraded washrooms you are seeing now.

01:27All the painting works are going on.

01:29Near about 500 to 600 workers every day working here up to 15th or 16th of this month.

01:35Within 15th or 16th, we have to complete all the renovation works.

01:38And before 20th, we have to do one more recce here.

01:41If there is any pending, we will complete.

01:43By 20th, all the stadium will be ready.

01:45Sir, I wanted to ask you, how is the Sunrisers franchise supporting you?

01:50Yes, they are very good to supporting us because with their CRS funds,

01:55they are giving renovation support regarding the washroom support,

01:59washroom renovation, painting works, seating renovation works,

02:03whatever the other things they are doing, they are supporting us.

02:06Other than that, we requested the CRS for multi-level parking.

02:11We are working with them.

02:12Within one year, we want to create 1000 car parking in multi-level parking.

02:17With support of BCCI, SRH and HCA, we will complete that.

02:20Actually, there were many conflicts earlier.

02:22When we see the earlier tenure, you know, and comparing that to the present tenure of Jagan Mohan Rao's team.

02:28So, what is the major difference that you would like to point out?

02:32You can say before Jagan and after Jagan, you can say that.

02:34Exactly.

02:35Yes, you are seeing the beautification of this stadium.

02:38Before two years, we didn't find the canopy, seating, lighting.

02:42It was not there.

02:43Even washrooms were not upgraded.

02:45Now, we are taking all the measurements, whatever the international standards.

02:49We are trying to upgrade our stadium internationally.

02:54Sir, actually you previously mentioned that there will be another 100-acre stadium.

03:00So, what is the status of the proposal?

03:08We requested him 100-acre land for a new stadium.

03:11Already, the paperwork is going on.

03:14In the new city that is near to the airport, they have identified 4000-5000 acres.

03:19In that, they are giving 150 acres.

03:21We requested 100 acres, but CM Garu was very kind enough.

03:24They are giving 150 acres.

03:26Two or three days back, I met Mr. Jayasandhan, who is the sports secretary.

03:30He told me that within one week or ten days, the process will begin.

03:34Within one month, they may give an allotment letter for us.

03:37Sir, will there be more team India matches coming up in Uppal Stadium?

03:41Can we see more matches in the near future?

03:43Exactly, we are planning for that.

03:45Because last 23rd December 2003, one match was there in Hyderabad Uppal Stadium.

03:53Because of the election counting, that match shifted to Bangalore.

03:56That match will be relocated to us.

03:58Other than that, two matches I am expecting.

04:00If there are any test matches, I am requesting for one test match and one day also.

04:04I met the BCCI secretary and BCCI CEO also.

04:07They promised me that they will give good matches this year.

04:10Sir, what are the measurements that you are taking to promote Hyderabad players to the national team?

04:15What are the measurements that you are taking?

04:18Yes, for that purpose, all the states are doing their leagues, state leagues.

04:22Now, we are announcing the Hyderabad Premier League, Telangana Premier League also.

04:26The tender process is going on.

04:28Within one or two months, all the process will be complete.

04:31In the month of June, immediately after IPL, we will start the Telangana Premier League.

04:37BCCI has also given the permission for that.

04:39They said to me that after IPL, we can start the Premier League.

04:52Sir, will this be extended to the women's cricket also?

04:56Yes, we have good players in women's cricket also.

04:59Rishabh with 119, they won the World Cup also.

05:03They did 100 and they performed well in all the matches.

05:08Other than that, we have 7-8 players in women's cricket also.

05:12For that, we are giving separate academies for women's cricket also.

05:17We have Hyderabad Cricket Academy at Jumuka Nagaram.

05:22We are creating one more academy in Uppal Stadium.

05:24This is for women's cricket also.

05:26Based on that, we want to develop women's cricket also.

05:28Sir, on a lighter note, Indian cricketers are very fond of Hyderabad food.

05:33There were reports also flooding that you, Jaysha and Dhoni went out to have some street food.

05:41Tell us something about that experience.

05:42Dhoni was not there with us.

05:44Jaybhai came to Hyderabad and Naman Awards.

05:48He wanted to eat roadside dosa.

05:51He asked me to arrange some roadside dosa.

05:54Then we went out to Madhapur area for Panchakattu dosa.

05:59We went there and had some dosa.

06:01He loved that dosa.

06:02Many players love Hyderabad food.

06:05Sir, you previously worked for Handball Association, right?

06:10So, how did you transform yourself as an administrator for this cricket?

06:15I played cricket in my school days, college days and as well as handball also.

06:19Anyone who is born in India, they love cricket.

06:23That's why I am also passionate about cricket.

06:27Other than that, in 2018, I bought a team, Medak Mavericks in Telangana Premier League.

06:33From that time, 2018, I connected with the HC Hyderabad Cricket Association.

06:39From 7 years, I am working.

06:41From 5 years, I am working.

06:42When the election came in 2023, I got an opportunity and I became the Prime Minister.

06:48Sir, finally, what message would you like to give to the fans or cricket lovers coming to the stadium?

06:53Yes, Hyderabad Cricket Association, Uppal Stadium is now very beautiful.

06:59It's all set for the IPL matches.
