00:00What is it? I mean, I know that you probably have a lot of memorabilia at
00:03Planet Hollywood. So what is this? I went to the opening of the original
00:06Planet Hollywood. Yeah, Bruce and Arnold and everybody were inviting people
00:08back then. And it was, uh, this was like the beginning, I think, of that
00:12kind of movie star celebrity centered club restaurant. You know, it was more
00:18like music and things. Um, uh, House of Blues eventually with Danny Aykroyd
00:24and those guys. And these things were a huge success. And then they kind of
00:28petered out of, I think a lot of it had to do with Covid and they're
00:30reopening again, which is a great idea. Bob Earl, Robert Earl, who was the
00:33original founder. Um, he, um, he's here doing it again. So good for him. I
00:39like that these guys are still around. I don't know about you. I was
00:42mentioning. How old were you when it first opened Planet? I was six. It was
00:45six years old. Look at this. I mean, if you look up and down, I hope you guys
00:49are gonna get behind all the people that have come in. This is such an
00:51iconic place. And this is like we're in the heart of New York. So it's such a
00:55fun thing to be part of. It really is. I don't know, Alec, if you're aware
00:59that there is a plaster of your hands on eBay from Planet Hollywood in
01:03Seattle. So do you miss those? Do you miss those days of, like, signing
01:08autographs and, like, putting your hands in there? Or do you like, like
01:10the selfies and things like that? It's different. It's very different.
01:14Everybody's got a camera in their pocket. You still are signing
01:17autographs. I wasn't taking pictures for a long time, but we would walk
01:22around with our kids, and there's many kids, and we're walking around. It was
01:25kind of a distraction for us keeping our eye on our kids. So I'd always tell
01:29people I won't take a picture when I'm with my children. And they were always
01:32saying, Oh, no, no, we only want a picture of you. I try to convince him
01:35to do it because it's very special. Yeah, no, it's very special. And he's
01:39trying to, you know, it's a hard balance to find. But, you know, it's
01:41gonna do this. Yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely. I am obsessed with your
01:45show. I love how raw and organic and open you are. When you were going into
01:50this, was that kind of the boundaries that you set? Like, we're gonna kind of
01:52lay it all out there. I think we didn't think it through very much, which I'm
01:58I look back now, and I'm thinking, like, what were we thinking? But at the same
02:03time, I'm so glad that we didn't because it is so raw, and it is so true. And it
02:08was a very vulnerable time. And it's interesting to look back. And even
02:12though it's not that long ago, it's really was a diary of how we were
02:15coping and moving forward. So no, I'm very grateful that we did it. And we
02:19were so lucky with the people that we did with. And I don't say that lightly.
02:22I don't. We're so we're so lucky. Sarah Reddy. Sarah Reddy helped tell our
02:27story. You know, Howard Lee, he really, really is the one that believed in us
02:32and saw this. And, you know, and just to be heard and seen and speak is such a
02:37special. I didn't make any decisions. I didn't have any input at all. My wife
02:41and Sarah just shoved me around all day long for months. Believe it, not a
02:46right. Sounds like something that we could do. You know, sometimes going on
02:50reality TV is hard on couples as well. Was that ever something that worried
02:54you? Well, you're always going to get a response that that that reality TV,
02:59among other things, like I hosted game shows and did match game for a while.
03:04And that was all to put money in our foundation to get the charity. And
03:08you're always looking for alternative, you know, forums to do that. And so the
03:13we did that. And, you know, when you do things like this, people are always
03:16like, Oh, this is another, like, silly thing you're doing. I really don't care.
03:19We had fun. We had so much fun. And we're like, kids had fun. It was such a
03:25good experience. So I know I gotta wrap it as cliche as it sounds. How do you
03:28balance everything with, you know, seven kids, a good sense of humor and a lot
03:32of patience and an understanding that we're not going to get it right all the
03:35time. And I think if you have that kind of just like, it's not gonna always
03:39that's okay. And you have resilience and you get back up. And the moment that
03:44has made you all laugh as a family watching back the show so far.
03:48Carmen giving Alec her face scrub. That was really funny. And then like, he's
03:52actually glowing after she's coming out with a book called Blowing Up. And it's
03:56all of like her like at home remedies. And like that face scrubs. Mine was her
04:00mine was her admitting on national television. And she listens to whatever
04:04I say. And when I'm gone, she ignores whatever I say and do whatever she
04:08right.
