00:00A number of trees have been poisoned along here.
00:10There's probably about half a dozen casuarines up there on the bluff, on the edge, which
00:18have been drilled and filled with poison.
00:20There's also an ironbark which has been drilled and filled with poison.
00:24And if we look down here we can see the limbs of trees have been removed.
00:29We can see that young saplings have been snapped off and that's the same for all the way along
00:35up there into the area just above the water.
00:38It's very sad.
00:40We live in such a beautiful part of the world, rich with nature, rich with bird life, animal
00:47life, plant life.
00:48There's a tremendous amount of biodiversity here, which is one of the reasons that people
00:53come and live here.
00:54And we need to protect it and look after it.
00:57We live in a time of climate change, habitat loss, all sorts of reasons to protect and
01:07honour nature.
01:09And that's why I've gone public with this story, because it really upsets me that people
01:15feel so disconnected from the natural beauty around us, that what they feel is their entitlement
01:24is more important than the greater good.
