00:28So at this point, there are serious questions being asked about whether Rania's stepfather
00:33was very much involved in the smuggling racket, ensured she got the necessary security protection,
00:37that blanket at the airport, because he knew she was smuggling gold.
00:42But the constable Baswaraj says he received a call from the DGP officer saying help Rania,
00:48ensure that she gets the necessary protection at the airport in the sense that she doesn't
00:52have to go through the security checks in a way custom.
00:55So it was this constable who actually helped Rania breach protocol.
00:58He says, I have no role in the smuggling, that I only provided this help to Rania.

01:08And so there are questions also about her statement where she says, I've only smuggled
01:11gold this one time and I got caught doing it.

01:22He's issued two statements so far since this news broke, in both saying, I had nothing
01:26to do with the smuggling case.
01:28I knew nothing of it, but the constable who helped Rania at the airport has directly named
01:33him.

01:35He has claimed that he is a head constable at Keppegoda International Airport police
01:42station here in Bengaluru.
01:43And he stated that he had to follow the instruction of senior officer, DGP rank Ramchandra Rao
01:49has instructed him to escort all his family members, including Rania Rao whenever they
01:55visit the airport.
01:56And subsequently he was following the instruction of his senior officers and he has escorted
02:02her for three to four times whenever she landed at Keppegoda International Airport.
02:07And he has categorically mentioned that he was not aware about the date and the time
02:12when she has escorted her whenever she reached the airport.
02:15But he has accepted the fact that he has escorted, but he wasn't aware that she was
02:21carrying gold with her whenever she landed in Bengaluru.
