00:00This is not metal to me. It's dope though.
00:06Alright, it's 8 in the morning. You know what that means. Alexa, play the new song from Sleep Token.
00:13Here's new music by Sleep Token on Amazon Music.
00:20They're back.
00:30Tough.
00:52Okay.
01:00This song brings a lot of emotion, definitely. It's building.
01:23Starting with just the keys, really, and now...
01:30Okay. I like this section.
01:41Ooh.
01:47I still don't really consider Sleep Token a metal band, in my personal opinion. It's a mixture of genres.
02:01This is not metal to me. It's dope though.
02:05I like that.
02:28They brought that section back. I like that. It's about to hit, I bet.
02:39Let's see, right? Nope.
02:44They're building it up.
02:57Okay, guitars are in there now.
03:21This song go hard.
03:44Love his voice.
03:49We all do. That love Sleep Token. I'm still asleep. Half asleep.
04:00Yeah, that hit.
04:16I can hear Courtney from Spiritbox on this section.
04:30And this song hip-hop right here. R&B hip-hop, right? This part.
04:37That bounce, you know? I love it. Right there.
04:51Yeah, this is tough right here.
04:56You hear that in the underlay? I know how to blow, you know? We're doing a reaction.
05:06Brings it back.
05:33Song is dope.
05:43Saxophone, huh?
05:45Hit you with the Lady Gaga.
05:49What was that song? I'm on the edge.
06:03I know I'm gonna make people not happy when I said that.
06:08Some people are gonna grieve me though.
06:17Saxophone at the end of the song could be pretty effing gangsta though, man.
06:24Like Nas had that song, Life's a Biatch with AZ. Gangsta shit. Not dissing the sax.
06:35I do love the song. You know, when you listen to a song for the first time, it's not like the second and the third time.
06:42It either gets better or it just stays the same.
06:45It's kind of like a first date. Actually, sometimes it's just like you start being like, eh, meh, after the second, third listen.
06:52I don't think that's gonna be the case because I really love the hook, the melodies, everything about the song I do love.
07:00I do think that this group keeps getting put into a metal category where I don't really agree with that one bit.
07:09I do not think this is a metal band. I think that they have a look of a metal band.
07:15I think that they have some heavy guitar riffs that come in at times that gives that metal vibe with the look.
07:24But for the most part, they are delivering way more of like a rock, pop, R&B, hip hop drums.
07:34A lot of times, you know, I don't really consider them like a metal metal band.
07:41And I know that's going to rub people the wrong way. But, you know, that's just how I feel.
07:46And please go in on me in the comments. The thing about this band is people are really invested in them.
07:52They are literally worshiping them. Right. The look, the whole vibe. I'm a big fan of wrestling.
07:59If you watch wrestling, they call the look, the gimmick. Right. So they're really invested in this actual look.
08:07They literally are saying in the comments, I worship them. I worship them. Right.
08:13You may be watching. You are a Sleep Token worshiper. So people are very defensive of what they are.
08:20It's very pop. Sleep Token is a pop group, in my opinion. And that's not a bad thing.
08:27That's not a diss. But this is pop music, guys. Fused with metal. As I said, hip hop drums at times.
08:35You know, you have that 808 banging on a lot of songs. It is not, to me, a metal band.
08:42Warned ashore, metal band. Will loves Sleep Token. It's OK to like other genres of music also.
08:51I think that's why a lot of people that are just into metal are really falling for Sleep Token.
08:58They love Sleep Token. Right. But they refuse to label it anything but metal. It's not metal.
09:04I mean, I'm sorry. This is not this song right here. This is to me not a metal.
09:09So you didn't want to have the sax at the end. It's a fusion of, I think, pop with metal riffs when needed to just bring it to that level.
09:21When them riffs come in, it's, you know, it really just punches you. It's got a nice punch to it.
09:28And what I was saying earlier, there is that one section that reminds me so much of Spirit Box.
09:36And maybe because I've been listening to the new Spirit Box album like crazy.
09:40You know, all I've been listening to, honestly, is the new Spirit Box album.
09:44And, of course, the new Whitechapel album, which to me, that is a these are metal albums.
09:50Right. Whitechapel's new album is probably the hardest album to release in the past decade.
09:57Let's be real. I mean, it is a crazy, crazy album. If you ever heard it, you need to.
10:03If you want to review on that album and even the Spirit Box album, which is another great album.
10:10Definitely let me know that in the comments. But those are metal albums.
10:15OK. And just comparing the last Sleep Token album to, you know, like, for instance, these two albums that just recently released.
10:24There's a big difference. The Sleep Token album at times it's there's no metal at all.
10:30I mean, it's literally just pop music. Do you know what I mean?
10:36It's literally pop music that you could actually hear on pop radio stations, which is fine.
10:44I think a lot of you fans are in denial. Right. You can caught up in the gimmick of the outfits, the looks.
10:51And it's OK to like them and not consider them a metal band.
10:58You may want to dig into some pop music, too. You know what I mean? I like pop music.
11:03I mean, I listen to it all the time. But when they hit you with them guitar riffs, it really connects to us.
11:10Right. That love metal. So I understand that part of it. I'm just trying to open up a conversation.
11:16You know what I mean? You don't have to agree with me. You can half agree with me.
11:20You can, you know, whatever the case is, I just I'm trying to put a piece out that's going to get the wheels moving.
11:27All right. So hopefully that's going. And if not, then that's fine, too.
11:32And you made it this far. If you made it this far, if you made it this far, leave in the comments right now.
11:37Also, put extra pepperoni pizza with four roaches on it.
11:42It just lets me know that you made it this far into the video. I think that's pretty effing cool.
11:47But yeah, man, real great song. And I think that this is going to be a really amazing album.
11:55The last album was fantastic. I'm still listening to effing Chokehold.
12:00Like I just started listening to that again. And Will's version of Chokehold is crazy, too.
12:06You know, listen, I'm a metal head. I'm a hip hop head.
12:09You know, like that's what I listen to. If you're new to my channel, like that's what I love.
12:14You know what I mean? But I listen to R&B, too, from time to time, you know, old school from when I was younger.
12:20I listen to that, you know, I listen to a lot of different music except country.
12:24I really don't listen to country. I was never exposed to country music.
12:29And maybe we'll start reacting to that if you guys want. But all in all, great song. Great, great song.
12:36I can't wait to listen to it again. As soon as this is up online, I'm going to be playing it a bunch.
12:42It's probably going to be on repeat for an hour or so. I just love music. I'm a music fanatic.
12:48I assume you are, too. That's why you're here watching this. Right.
12:51And it's fun to make these reaction videos and just chop it up with you all.
12:57And I can't wait to read your comments. I'm not here, though, man.
13:00New Sleep Token. That's incredible. 8 a.m., man. 8 a.m.
13:05We listen to Sleep Token together. It's probably noon when you watch this.
13:08Maybe the next day, whatever the case is, you could be anywhere in the world and you're here with me.
13:12And I appreciate that. Watch more. I'm Dels. We out.
13:16Hey, yo, it's D from Feeling Flesh. You're hanging out with DJ Dels.
13:46Oh, yeah.
