00:00Hello, my name is Alex, I live in the East Bay in California, and I have an iguana, Houdini,
00:11I have two cats, a sphinx and an oriental short-eared, a ball python, snake, and a tarantula.

00:36The reason I have so many pets is just because I love animals. I remember growing up, I was obsessed with movies like Jumanji and Jurassic Park,
00:43you know, those huge animals, T-Rex, Velociraptors, and this guy just kind of reminds me of a giant dinosaur in a much more compact form.

00:57Down the line, I snuck in a snake.

01:02I ordered him online, and it came in this little box with heat pads and stuff. We basically overnight ship it, like this little tiny thing as well.

01:16Years after, I decided to get a cat. I've always had cats. I've always been really intrigued by sphinx, and they look kind of weird, but kind of cute at the same time.
01:26People always say, hey, if you're going to get a cat, get at least two.

01:38And then I have my tarantula, which is very easy to take care of.

01:45So all the animals get along really well.

01:51The reason that I chose to live in a tiny house is just because of the nature of living in a very dense area in California. It tends to be very costly for living.

02:03But the nature of renting, they usually have very strict restrictions in terms of pets, and this kind of came along on YouTube, and I was very intrigued by it.
02:12I think I would definitely recommend living in a tiny house to people.

02:20So would I recommend having all these crazy animals? Yes and no. I think if you have a fascination, then you are willing to put in the work for the animals and go for it.
02:31But they are a lot of work. It's basically like, for me, a third job.
