02:37My colleague Aishwarya Palewal is joining us on the broadcast from
02:41Dwarkadheesh temple in Sath in Mathura. Aishwarya, you know Holi is very you know
02:47it's a great festival. People come out in scores to celebrate it but Holi in
02:52Mathura is especially significant given the fact that you know it was Lord
02:55Krishna's birthplace. So speak to us a little bit about why how Mathura
02:59celebrates Holi. I see there's a lot of colors around you. Give us more details.
03:07Well Chetta, you know I don't know whether you can recognize me or not but I think that anyone who will see me will not be able to recognize me
03:14because that's the color that you see in Mathura. You know, I'm at the Dwarkadheesh temple and people are just trickling in this temple to catch a glimpse of you know a child Lord Krishna, Krishna Lanna. That's the idol that's there at Dwarkadheesh temple and there's a lot of dancing that is taking place and colors. Let me tell you, from everywhere possible we can see colors. Big floor in here. My camera person is panning and showing you the music, the dance and the colors.
03:44As you can see here at the Dwarkadheesh temple, this is the color of Mathura at the moment and let me also tell you a lot of foreigners also, Chetta, especially come to Mathura, especially come to celebrate Holi because for them this is something that they cannot believe. They cannot believe that our country has this kind of culture and so many colors. It feels like there's a rainbow in every street in Mathura and in Varanasi. The dancing that you see around me, this is taking place. It will continue for the next one hour.
04:14After the next one hour, the temple will be shut and then it will once again close at 2 pm and then the last hour of Holi will be played. This is the Dwarkadheesh temple that you are seeing around me and this is me. As you can see, barely recognizable because there are colors which are coming in from across, from 360 degrees. These are the colors that are being floated here and the celebrations of Holi taking place.
04:39Thanks Aishwarya for bringing us those colorful visuals in fact from Mathura, the Dwarkadheesh temple where people are coming out of the temple to celebrate Holi which holds a lot of significance, immense significance especially in Mathura which is Braj ki Holi is what they call where they celebrate not just Holi but also the birthplace of Lord Krishna where there are certain unique traditions along with other traditions that take place in Holi.
