00:00Fortnite just gifted me the brand new Lara Croft skin early and it's awesome.
00:03It's 100% gonna be a sweat skin, but this leads to a greater question.
00:07What is Fortnite's policy on releasing old skins again in the item shop?
00:10And how has it changed over time?
00:12Let's jump into it.
00:14All right, so here's a further in-depth look at Lara Croft, the 2000s version.
00:17And again, super, super clean skin.
00:20Let's see the customizations available.
00:21So you can go ahead and choose shorts or you can pick pants,
00:25which gives a definitely new clean look.
00:27I love skins with customization like this.
00:29You can also have the vest off, which is by default, or have a vest on,
00:34which changes the back as well.
00:36And then glasses by default are off, but you can do glasses on as well,
00:40which gives you that early 2000s sunglasses look, you know?
00:44She also comes with this Tomb Raider satchel.
00:46Now this comes with a little bobblehead, a grapple, walkie-talkie, and a treasure map.
00:50For the pickaxe, we have this over here, which when you hit it, it spins.
00:54I personally would rock the Leviathan Axe with her instead.
00:56Now she does not come with a glider this time around,
00:58but if you had Lara Croft before and you complete all the Battle Pass stuff,
01:02you will have the Salvage Chute Glider, which goes perfectly with this new skin.
01:05Now in terms of emotes, you get the Atlantean Scion,
01:08which honestly, I played the games or at least some of them,
01:10but I don't remember this.
01:12I'm sure it was in it, but pretty nifty emote, especially if you remember them.
01:16There's also the Croft Legacy Wrap.
01:18It's all right.
01:19I think this is probably the most mid thing of the package.
01:21So we got both of the skins here.
01:23This is the OG one, and this is the new one.
01:25I personally prefer the new one, but I'd love to know what you guys think.
01:28It feels like enough switch up where it's not even like an argument of,
01:32you know, should someone be kind of sad that it came out again?
01:35It's so different.
01:36And also the original Lara Croft here has a ton of styles.
01:39So we have Lara Croft.
01:40We've got Lara Croft 25th Anniversary Edition.
01:42The classic style, just like blocky.
01:45And then we have the Gold Anniversary style.

06:12In terms of decal, this is it with nothing on.
06:15Then we got the flames option, the trail rated 4x4 version,
06:18which is a really clean blue.
06:20We got a basic lighting pattern, stripes, and then the Tomb Raider one,
06:25which does make it this light blue.
06:26It looks so good.
06:28I will say my one complaint is it sounds exactly like the normal SUV,
06:33but hey, the looks, it looks so good.
06:37Look at that when you activate the boost.

06:43Now, there is a bunch of different styles
06:45that you can go ahead and activate for Lara Croft.
06:48I think that this skin will almost certainly become a sweatskin
06:50because of how cool it is,
06:51but also just the original Lara Croft skin is a major sweatskin,
06:55and people who missed out on the first one
06:57will definitely want to try and grab this one.
06:59On that topic, it seems like there's a decent amount of people
07:03who are a little bit upset.
07:05They're like, hey, I got the original Lara Croft.
07:07I didn't think you were going to bring it out again,
07:08and now you brought it out again.
07:10It looks slightly different,
07:12but now my previous skin is not so exclusive.
07:16It's an interesting conversation
07:17because Fortnite did in their battle passes always go,
07:20hey, you got to cop this really quick
07:22or else it's going to be gone forever,
07:24but that's led to some pretty bad moments in my opinion
07:27where we have skins like Spider-Man, the OG one in Fortnite
07:30is exclusive to the battle pass.
07:31Now, Darth Vader, the OG one is now tied to the battle pass,
07:35and the list goes on and on.
07:36We have Spider-Gwen.
07:38We've got so many OG skins that aren't even collabs,
07:41so I think this pattern of seeing Fortnite
07:43try to release older skins that people like
07:46with a new version, I think that'll be really cool,
07:48but some people are saying, why not just release them again?
07:51And honestly, I think it's a pretty good argument.

07:54May give everyone that the old ones OG variants
07:57like they did with Renegade Raider,
07:58although the OG variant isn't in the game yet.

09:02is one of their favorite things of all time.

09:10and Epic has done something about it.

09:14but all the battle passes moving forward
09:17can be sold in the item shop again.

09:21I think after like a year or something,
09:23they can show up in the shop.
09:25I think the problem people have
09:26is all the time before that.

09:29coming from somebody who has every skin
09:31except 10 of them.
09:32I think they should bring back a lot of them.
09:33Honestly, it's just a vanity thing

09:38to like having something people don't
09:41because like you were there for a special time,
09:43like an event skin or something.
