00:00Several Olympians and Paralympians take the runway in a sports fashion show held in Intramuros, Manila.

00:20That's the theme of the sports fashion show held last night along Intramuros, Manila

00:24that celebrates Filipino athletes and cultural heritage.

00:28Led by First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos and other sports personalities,

00:32the event paid tribute to Filipino athletes and highlighted the beauty of whipping

00:37as part of the nation's culture and history.

00:40Before the runway show of models and athletes,

00:43Philippine Sports Commission Chairperson Richard Bachman emphasized that the fashion show

00:48showcased the exceptional talent of Filipinos in design.

00:52I'm very excited and also very excited for the athletes.

00:56I think for some of the athletes, this is the first time na rarampas sila.

00:59So it's actually good to see them.

01:01I was there kanina behind the scenes and seeing them actually practice with all the uniforms,

01:06I'm very happy.

01:08Philippine Olympic Committee President Abraham Bambol-Tolentino also attended the event

01:13and revealed the possibility of selecting outfits for the national team

01:17to wear in upcoming international competitions.

01:21Makakapili tayo ng damit with the Filipino fabric.

01:30Nagagamitin natin sa mga future sa opening ceremony.

01:36SEA Games, Asian Games, and Olympics.

01:41Tingnan natin kung mayroon pipili tayong angkop-nangkop.

01:45So why not?

01:47Around 7 p.m., the models and several Paralympians,

01:50including Aline Ganapin, Angel Autumn, and Gerald Mangliwan,

01:54took to the runway one by one.

01:56The crowd couldn't help but cheer as 2024 Paris Olympics bronze medalist boxers

02:01Neste Patesho and Ira Villegas made their entrance.

02:05Also stealing the spotlight was Carlos Yulo,

02:07who strutted the runway wearing the creations of the renowned fashion designer,

02:11Avel Bakujo.

02:13When Carlos Yulo won for three goals, parang lahat tayo masaya.

02:18Pero may susunod pa kasing mga kabata na pwede na maging kaloy.

02:22So this time, it's all about yung mga Olympians natin

02:26at mga young generation na sa national academy of sports.

02:35So they need fans kasi.

02:37So I think it's about time na bigyan natin sila ng pagkakataon

02:41na parang hindi lang magiging dalawang medal tayo na iuwi,

02:44kundi mas maraming gold medalist pa kung bibigyan natin sila ng pagmamahal at suporta.

02:49In an interview with PTV Sports,

02:51Carlos Yulo and Neste Patesho shared that the fashion show

02:55served as a big motivation for them to intensify their training

02:59for their upcoming competitions.

03:01Hindi ko akalain na pe-experience sakin.

03:05Sobrang magkaiba sa gymnastics.

03:10Sobrang saya, natutuwa po ako na experience ko po sa ganitong industry.

03:20Nagpapasalamat po ako kay Sir Abel na ininvite niya po ako

03:25and dinedicate niya po para sakin po ito.

03:28Nakaka-boost po ito ng kumpiansa sa sarili namin.

03:32Isa pa yung ginawa ni Sir Abel po,

03:37ipakilala ulit sa buong Pilipino yung kultura natin.

03:40Kung paano tayo nagsimula.

03:42Yung matatanda po, yung gumawa nito.

03:44Nag-travel pa siya para mas mabuo itong obra na to.

03:49So, grabe. Kung malaman ninyo,

03:52kung anong lahat daw,

03:54bawat isa sa amin na suot ang obra nito,

03:59may mga meaning po ito.
