Have you ever noticed that the same strange symbol—a handbag or bucket—keeps showing up in ancient carvings all over the world? From the Göbekli Tepe pillars in Turkey to Assyrian stone reliefs in Iraq and even Olmec artifacts in Mesoamerica, this mysterious shape appears in civilizations that never met. That’s pretty weird, right? Some believe it could represent divine knowledge, a ritual tool, or even something otherworldly. But how did people across different continents, thousands of years apart, all come up with the same thing? Could it be a lost connection between ancient cultures—or maybe even a warning about time itself? Whatever the answer, this mystery keeps archaeologists and history lovers scratching their heads! 00:00Now, history isn't just carved in stone, but these drawings on 11,000-year-old rocks
00:05might be warning us about a freaky future.
00:09Both the Mayans and the people at Gobekli Tepe made big predictions about humanity's
00:14future.
00:15What's eerie is that despite being hundreds of miles and years apart, they used similar
00:20symbols.
00:21Let's get one thing straight – ancient civilizations often depicted their deities
00:25as humanoids.
00:27You'll find humanoid representations of celestial beings in ancient Egypt, but also
00:32in pre-Columbian societies from the Americas.
00:35For example, Aztecs had an important deity they called Quetzalcoatl.
00:40He was related to the wind, Venus, and the sun.
00:43In some ancient Aztec art, he's depicted carrying a tiny handbag.
00:48The shocker is that a very similar winged figure was represented by the Assyrians.
00:54It's already odd that they chose similar forms to represent their gods, even though
00:58these civilizations didn't have any contact with each other.
01:02But to draw an almost identical handbag?
01:05That seems like a bit of a stretch.
01:07Of course, when we say handbags, we mean carvings depicting things that look like modern handbags.
01:13Not quite coach or prada, but you get the idea.
01:17Some theories suggest this mysterious handbag could be related to time travel.
01:21We've seen that Gobekli Tepe tells of a great flood that destroyed an ancient civilization.
01:27But during that civilization's time, they raised cattle and grew food.
01:32They knew how to handle seeds and grow crops.
01:35According to one theory, this stylish accessory could have been used for carrying seeds.
01:40Since Gobekli Tepe is believed to be near where Noah's Ark might have been found,
01:45the people of the area could have gathered seeds to plant in the New World after the
01:49Great Flood.
01:50Strange?
01:51Definitely.
01:52But so is everything we've been talking about, so let's roll with it.
01:58Another theory on the meaning of the handbag has a much more straightforward approach.
02:03In multiple ancient cultures, the circle was used to represent spirituality and non-materiality.
02:09But the square was often associated with concepts of the Earth and materiality.
02:14So what we modern humans understand as a handbag might be an image that symbolizes
02:20the reunification of the Earth and sky, of the material and non-material elements of
02:25existence.
02:26Not a bad theory, I would say.
02:28But then who am I?
02:30Some researchers, like Graham Hancock, are not convinced with these previous explanations.
02:36For him, Gobekli Tepe is all about little grey people and their contacts with ancient
02:41Earthling civilizations.
02:43You see, right in the middle of this ancient site, there's a special pillar called Pillar
02:4743, or Enclosure D. At first glance, it looks like an astronomical calendar.
02:53You see the scorpion?
02:55That's the Scorpion constellation.
02:57And that ball in the center?
02:59It's all about the Sun's alignment.
03:01We know ancient societies like the Maya or Incas were stellar astronomers, so what's
03:06the big deal here?
03:08Turns out, the folks at Gobekli Tepe were talking about a massive natural disaster that
03:13wiped out all forms of life before their time.
03:17When astronomers recreated the angles and positions from Pillar 43, it showed an astrological
03:23setup from over 13,000 years ago.
03:26The stone also depicted a tragic event, a mix of a flood and a meteor shower.
03:31The headless man?
03:32That's humanity's tragic end.
03:35And the snake from the ground?
03:37Giant waves washing over the Earth.
03:39And it's not just one stone telling the tale.
03:43Pillar 56 shows more of the Younger Dryas event, or as it's called, the Terror from
03:47the Sky.
03:48You see animals fleeing and waves crashing as the meteor shower hits.
03:54But wait!
03:55While Pillar 43 gives us the exact date of the last disaster, Pillar 18 in Enclosure
04:00D gives us the date of the next possible wipeout.
04:04The art depicted in this pillar zooms in on the constellation of Aquarius.
04:09Now you might have seen the movie The Age of Aquarius or heard some woo-woo theories
04:13about how we're entering this phase right now.
04:16You see what I'm driving at?
04:18Gopekli Tepe might be giving us the date of the next disaster so that we have time to
04:22prep for it.
04:24These images could be a survival guide for humanity.
04:27Or not.
04:28Now this would be bananas if it weren't for one piece of evidence.
04:32Let's check the facts.
04:34The Enki Comet, discovered in 1786, used to be part of a megacomet, 100 miles wide, made
04:41of ice, metal, and rock.
04:43It broke up and formed a debris field.
04:46Now instead of one huge comet, we've got millions of smaller ones.
04:50When the Earth passed through that debris, the folks at Gopekli Tepe saw a firestorm
04:55of comets, all coming from the Aquarius constellation, just like on Pillar 43.
05:01Now here's the supposed scary part.
05:03We pass through that same debris field every year.
05:06If you're watching this in September, October, or November, we're flying through it right
05:10now.
05:11It could happen that these debris fall onto the surface of the Earth all over again, repeating
05:16history.
05:17But so far, that's just a theory.
05:22The mind-boggling question is, how did the people at Gopekli Tepe know about an event
05:27that happened before they were all born?
05:30In 2019, excavations kicked off at Karan Tepe, about 40 miles from Gopekli Tepe.
05:36But research suggests it might've been settled even earlier.
05:40Gopekli Tepe seems to have been a place of worship or an observatory.
05:44But Karahan Tepe shows signs of a structured society.
05:49Excavations at Karahan Tepe reveal artifacts like intricate carvings, tools, and even possible
05:55remnants of buildings.
05:57This suggests that these people were not just hunters and gatherers, but had a structured
06:01society with spiritual or ceremonial practices.
06:05In 2020, researchers started unearthing several other settlements in the area, indicating
06:10that Gopekli Tepe was part of a huge metropolis.
06:14The whole site is known collectively as Tas Tepler.
06:19The thing is, the math around all this has scientists baffled.
06:23Around that time, Earth was just leaving its last ice age, and scientists used to think
06:27Stone Age civilizations were primitive.
06:30But evidence keeps showing up, proving that wasn't the case.
06:35For Gopekli Tepe to have existed with that level of tech 12,000 years ago, there must've
06:41been an even earlier civilization.
06:43That kind of tech doesn't just pop up out of nowhere.
06:46And hey, we've got plenty of other proof of advanced societies.
06:50Take the Mayans, for example.
06:52Recent discoveries have shown they were even more advanced than we previously thought.
06:57They built massive cities with roads up to 130 feet wide, painted white to guide travelers
07:02at night – a feat you'd expect in places like Portugal or England.
07:07These roads, sometimes elevated over swampy ground, formed a network of over 964 settlements,
07:14like a giant spider web.
07:16A bunch of scientists turned their eyes on this theory, but it could be the connecting
07:20point of everything we've been speculating about in this video.
07:24After all, the people from the sky could've come down and told the people from Gopekli
07:29Tepe about the destruction of a more ancient civilization than theirs.
07:33Or not.
07:34Remember, don't give up your critical thinking just because you see something on the Internet.
07:39Anyway, Gopekli Tepe raises suspicions just as Stonehenge and the Great Pyramids of Egypt.
07:46When we mix little green aliens into the equation, it explains one way that surreal engineering
07:51feats were possible in these sites.
07:54But it also underestimates our human ancestors and their thinking abilities.
07:59One of the main characteristics of Gopekli Tepe's architecture are the T-shaped pillars.
08:05The heaviest of them weigh 20 tons and are around 20 feet.
08:09These pillars were erected perfectly, without so much as a dent in them.
08:13Sure, that's pretty hard to do without modern machines.
08:16But hey, maybe they figured it out and built it after much effort.
08:20In case you don't know what I'm talking about, this old pal is supposed to have cracked
08:25the secret of the pyramid builders in modern-day America.
08:29He used it to build his own castle and other mesmerizing structures.
08:33So hey, I guess we'll have to keep digging to find out the actual facts about it all,
08:39huh?
08:41That's it for today!
08:43So hey, if you pacified your curiosity, then give the video a like and share it with your
08:47friends.
