Mitra Satheesh had a dream that seemed impossible. But she managed to fulfil it just before the second wave hit India.

00:00Even now, when I think about that drive, the drive through the Sojila Pass, I have goosebumps.
00:31Hi, I'm Dr. Mitra from Kochi. I'm an Ayurveda doctor by profession and a traveler by passion.
00:38I'm Narayan and I'm 11 years old.
00:50Desi Drive is something like a local village drive and Oru stands for one in Malayalam.
00:55So it was a mixture of English, Hindi and Malayalam words.
01:00I'm a mother of two kids. My elder daughter, who is 15 years old, is mentally challenged.
01:13But then I never feel guilty for going for trips like this.
01:18It is during this time that I revive myself.
01:31The maximum distance I had ever driven was just 100 kilometers.
01:36So I knew that this was a crazy idea, but I wanted to make it happen.
02:00My plan was to visit villages and to revive rural tourism.
02:24I waited so that I could get vaccinated.
02:27I got both my shots before I started my journey.
02:50It's considered to be one of the most dangerous stretch.
02:53I was scared, but then my son cheered me up.
03:14I was very happy to go with my mother.
03:23These travels have made me a better woman, a better person, a better mother, a better doctor.
03:41Sometimes you want to do some crazy things and this was one such crazy dream.
