But she had to get over anxiety and self-doubt to be where she is today.

00:00I will not say that fame is important for me, but I will say that the industry I work in and the money I make, all of that is a part of what I do.

02:00I don't want to sound patronizing, but she's extremely talented, beautiful and hardworking.
02:18I really think of her as the epitome of what an actress should be around the world, internationally.
02:24It's great fun working with her and I feel very proud that she started off in a film with me.
02:29She has still that little respect left for me, so she doesn't treat me too badly.
02:54Ranbir is a huge star, we all know that.
03:16Ranbir is a huge star, we all know that.
03:47I'm a South Indian myself and we do have a lot of Tamilians in the film as well.
03:53I feel like if there was anything that was anti any of that, I'm sure I would have been the first one to not accept it.
04:06As far as the accent is concerned, I have a tutor, I've had a trainer, we've had a diction coach.
04:17I believe I was destined to be in this film. I believe Deepika was destined to be cast opposite me.
04:34It's Romeo and Juliet, so the chemistry between the leads really lies at the core and is the essence of the film.

05:01February 15th, 2014, I remember waking up that morning with this strange, British feeling in my stomach.
05:12I had no idea what I was feeling. Life all of a sudden just felt meaningless and there were days when I just wanted to give up.
05:24A couple of weeks later, I was diagnosed with clinical depression.
05:29Four years on, I stand here in front of all of you with a slightly better understanding, I think, of life and my feelings and the person that I am.
05:40I always knew that my debut in Hollywood would be a very strong character and in a film that's fun and that's full of adventure and excitement but also a film that is meaningful.
06:10I trained for two months in India before I left to film, but that was also to just get my body to be able to do all of these stunts.
06:22I've always been physically very fit, but I just wanted to push it a little more.
06:30And then once I got there, throughout the filming process on the weekends, we would have all the training for the stunts and the use of weapons and guns and things like that.
06:42So that was an ongoing process.
06:44I remember the first day I was so awkward because these guns are really heavy. They look really tiny, but they're really heavy.
07:29I love my work. In the last 10 years, the work that I do, I've learned a lot and I've enjoyed my work a lot.
07:56I hope that I just keep enjoying the work that I do.
