00:00So I was pretty sure that I am extremely unattractive, that I'll never find somebody and that I'm
00:25It was a point of becoming invisible. You just want to be invisible in a room full of people.
00:32I was always a large girl, so relatives, friends, well-meaning people are just nasty bullies, it's all been there.
00:59But it's generally been Elephant, there's been Godzilla, there's obviously been the very common Moti, Bhaise, all of that in whichever language. So yeah, those have been the names.
01:13Imagine a 6-7 year old girl being told that she needs to loo, it kind of conditions you differently.
01:18And obviously by then, in the 90s, the kind of body type that was promoted in movies also was that of the straight size. So all that kind of played a role while growing up.
01:29I completed my journey of self-acceptance a few years ago. I mean, of course, it's an ongoing forever journey.
01:54But yeah, there was a certain level that I reached where I was very comfortable in my skin, very confident in myself. And there was this knowledge that all of this was a change in my perception.
02:04And that was all that was needed to become confident again. And self-acceptance, I know it's a difficult journey. It's almost a fake it till you make it kind of situation. But hang in there.
02:24So I also want to get this out there that you don't necessarily have to be a plus size model or a belly dancer or a social media influencer or a blogger or something like that to accept yourself. Just be the best version of you that you can be.
02:54Yeah.
