Transcript
00:30They started shooting blindly.
00:46Some of my friends had got injured that time.
00:48I managed to hide in my kitchen, that's the chambers.
00:53But maybe I was not hidden so well because I was found out by the terrorists.
00:57They got me out.
00:59Me along with two more guests, we were made to stand in a line and we were shot point
01:04blank.
01:05Unfortunately, the two guests didn't make it.
01:07But I was lucky that I was not grievously hurt.
01:11Managed to save myself.
01:14For the first few hours, I was absolutely shaken, as was everybody.
01:25I was terrified.
01:27And you could hear grenades being thrown, you know, they were being hauled from across.
01:33The chandeliers were moving, you know, they were shaking, there was dust falling.
01:42The very fact we were able to open the hotel within three weeks.
01:45The very fact that the terrorists were not able to knock us down.
01:49The very fact that it has created a bond with all the families.
01:54So I think that symbolizes that power of one.
01:57It's important for that reason.
02:06I was very upset early on when I remember that I went on to the fifth and sixth floors
02:13and everything was shattered.
02:14It was burnt down.
02:16And I cried.
02:19But then you move on.
02:23It got rebuilt.
02:27And you don't see any trace of that anymore.
02:30You don't forget what happened.
02:34But you can't let that bog you down.
02:44It's a joke in my family.
02:45My father was in the army.
02:46In fact, my entire family is from the army background.
02:50And nobody's got shot other than me.
