00:00I swear to you, I found out that they were eating burgers last night.
00:05They were eating pizzas last night.
00:08Oh man, hit me, hit me, hit me, hit me.
00:12This is a joke.
00:15Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Assalamu Alaikum, Namaste, Sat Sri Akal and hello.
00:20Do you remember this video?
00:22This one.
00:23That's me.
00:30Last year December, I came to Pakistan for my winter break and I was offered a film.
00:45And I thought I'll do it for the experience.
00:47But the shoot of the movie got disrupted due to COVID-19, obviously.
00:52And I got stuck here in Pakistan.
00:55And then I was offered this drama.
00:57So I'm shooting for that.
01:16After graduating from King's College London, I got a job in King's College London.
01:19I started working for the principal's office.
01:21And if I may take the liberty, I partially identify myself as an aspiring educationalist.
01:26I've been involved in student politics, social work.
01:29I co-founded a charity.
01:30I've delivered tech talks in different universities.
01:33I've also partied a lot.
01:35I'm working on a startup, a tech startup also.
01:43I was just surprised that so many people connected with what I expressed.
01:48And I think that is how majority of the people in my country were feeling.
01:52I think everyone was in a similar state, emotional state.
01:55They couldn't express it.
01:57And I did it for them.
02:02My excitement levels for the match were going through the roof.
02:05I mean, during the World Cup last year, I was in London.
02:08And I went to Manchester because I did not want to miss witnessing a potential historic victory in the buzzing atmosphere of the stadium.
02:15I was positive.
02:16A lot of expectations, a lot of excitement, which I cannot put into words.
02:20But the match obviously shattered my optimism.
02:23I came out disappointed.
02:25Yeah, I just wanted to go back home.
02:27But the reporters outside wanted to know how we were feeling as people who travelled all the way from London to support our teams.
02:35I said what I truly felt.
02:37You know, I told you I'm an expressive person.
02:39So my emotions did the talking.
02:41I did not do it to bash our team.
02:42I think it was constructive criticism on the way they played and obviously hoping for them to improve in the future.
02:48I thought we could still win the World Cup.
02:50But at that specific moment when we lost to India, I was shattered.
02:59I started getting a lot of love from across the world, especially India.
03:03You know, many people from across the border became part of my online family.
03:06And, you know, I already had many Indian friends whom I had worked with in King's College on different initiatives to promote peace between India and Pakistan.
03:21How on earth can I recreate the same reaction?
03:24It was candid.
03:25You'll have to wait till the next World Cup to see another reaction.
03:28A better one.
