00:00For the last six weeks, India has transformed occupied Jammu and Kashmir into the largest prison
00:07on this planet. Despite challenging circumstances, Jammu and Kashmir civil administration
00:13is ensuring basic services, essential supplies, mobility and connectivity.
00:30For the last six weeks, over 8 million Kashmiris already in the clutches of decades-long Indian
00:45oppression have been virtually caged by an illegal military occupation.
00:52My government is taking affirmative actions by adopting progressive policies to promote
00:58socio-economic equality and justice. Shops are running short of supplies, hospitals
01:04of life-saving medicines and the sick and wounded, many of them due to the direct and
01:12indiscriminate use of force by the Indian occupation forces.
01:17Despite challenging circumstances, Jammu and Kashmir civil administration is ensuring basic
01:22services, essential supplies, mobility and connectivity. Democratic processes have been
01:29initiated, restrictions are being eased continuously.
01:33For six weeks and counting, Kashmiri's political leadership of all shades has been held under
01:41house arrest, imprisoned and gagged.
01:44The decisions were taken by our parliament after a fully televised debate and enjoys
01:49widespread support. Temporary preventive measures were needed to ensure security in
01:55the face of credible threats of cross-border terrorism.
01:59In this council's parlance, the atrocities and abuses are being inflicted upon the people
02:03of a disputed and occupied territory as affirmed by international law.
02:09These were sovereign decisions, entirely internal to India. No country can accept interference
02:16in its internal affairs, certainly not India.
02:20India's effort to hide its atrocities in the Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir by falsely
02:25labelling it terrorism and cross-border terrorism are shameless and indefensible.
02:33One delegation here has given a running commentary with offensive rhetoric of false allegations
02:39and concocted charges against my country.
02:42Pakistan has suggested a number of bilateral and multilateral mechanisms that would disprove
02:48India's self-serving claims.
02:50The world is aware that this fabricated narrative comes from the epicentre of global terrorism,
02:56where ringleaders are sheltered for years. This country conducts cross-border terrorism
03:02as a form of alternate diplomacy.
