00:00These doors were just slamming back and forth, and then I came out and the wall literally
00:08cracked.
00:09Those who felt Friday's tremor said it was terrifying.
00:13I wasn't sure what was going on, but I was like, I need to get out of here.
00:17Oh, it was so, so terrifying.
00:20One of those was teacher Isabel Willis, originally from New Quay in Keredigion. She's been living
00:26in Bangkok for six months.
00:28I basically ran out of my room, and then I looked up at my wall and I could just see
00:34it crack. I have a massive crack in my wall, so I was like, wow, this is how people die.
00:47And panic kicked in.
00:49I could just see people running, sprinting down to the stairwell, so I just followed
00:56and just desperate to get out, really. I had no idea. I thought, just, this is it.
01:03The magnitude 7.7 quake was felt in Myanmar, Thailand and southwest China, and despite
01:11the large-scale destruction, relief as people are pulled from under the rubble.
01:17You can see this is all cracked up.
01:22Meanwhile in Bangkok, Isabel, along with the other residents, managed to leave the
01:26building safely, but some had minor injuries.
01:29It was just a surreal experience. I think I'm devastated for the people in Myanmar too.
01:37It's just awful.
01:39Three days later, there are more calls for help with rescue efforts. Many are still missing,
01:47and every minute counts.
