00:00Chelsea's ambitions in the Women's Champions League remain as high as ever, despite a rocky
00:08start to their quarter-final tie against Manchester City.
00:13Under manager Sonia Bompastor, Chelsea had been on an unbeaten run across all competitions,
00:20but a first-leg defeat left many questioning their European credentials.
00:25The loss was a setback, but Bompastor's response, reportedly intense, seemed to spark her team's
00:31determination.
00:34Chelsea responded in emphatic fashion with a 3-0 win in the second leg, overturning the
00:39deficit and securing their place in the semi-finals for a third consecutive year.
00:47I'm allowing myself to just enjoy.
00:51I think, you know, sometimes in football you work really hard, you sometimes get good results,
00:57sometimes not, but I think tonight was a perfect night for us.
01:02Being able again to play at Stamford Bridge with our fans and being able to turn things
01:08around.
01:09Again, I'm really proud of my players and, yeah, it was a difficult challenge, but we
01:16believed it was possible and I think this belief was something really strong in our
01:21side and maybe made the difference.
01:26Chelsea's next challenge is familiar as they will meet reigning champions Barcelona in
01:31the semi-finals.
01:33The Catalans have been a thorn in Chelsea's side for the past two seasons, including a
01:39dominant 4-0 victory in the 2021 final.
01:43However, Chelsea's victory over City showed that they are more than capable.
01:47With Arsenal also in the semi-finals, there's a real possibility of an all-English final
01:52in Lisbon on the 24th May.
01:54However, the path to the title will be anything but easy, but both Barcelona and Lyon, who
01:59have dominated the competition, standing in Chelsea's way.
02:04As Bompastor says, if Chelsea can replicate their recent performance, the Champions League
02:10is well within their reach.
