The Hartlepool Mail's Robbie Stelling reacts to Saturday's last gasp win over relegated Ebbsfleet.
Transcript
00:00Hartlepool United recorded a third successive win for the first time since the beginning
00:07of last season after beating relegated Ebsfleet 3-2. Poole certainly did it the hard way,
00:13they needed an added time goal from Sam Fongaren to secure the three points, his first goal
00:19since signing for the club from Harrogate in January. It was by no means a vintage Poole's
00:24performance, but it was one moment of magic from Reyes Cleary that made the difference
00:28in the first half. He curled a sumptuous effort into the bottom corner in the 29th
00:33minute to fire the home side in front. However, Poole's were pegged back early on into the
00:37second half when Max Manktono blasted home his first senior goal, but the home side restored
00:43their lead three minutes later when Manny Disarue struck for the 15th time this season.
00:47Poole's were punished for some ponderous defending when Aaron Cosgrove broke through, rounded
00:52Adam Smith and rolled his third goal in three games into an empty net. But Poole's, who
00:57were certainly not at their best, won the game late on when Reyes Cleary's cross rebounded
01:02into Sam Fongaren's path and he headed the ball over the despairing arm of Mark Cousins
01:09to end a dramatic week on a really positive note for Poole's.
