00:00Hey coach, David Yapko, it's from The Next. You referenced, you know, that Arizona game
00:05when they were number two in the country, you guys beat them. I remember that game
00:10because I remember being the only media there and I remember asking you, you know,
00:14that in the grand scheme of things that maybe was just another game on the on
00:18the schedule and you told me you didn't feel that way, that you thought it was
00:21one of those season-defining, program-defining wins. When you think of
00:26everything that's happened since then, you know, two straight Elite Eights to
00:30get, you know, highly touted freshmen to commit to your program, just in that
00:36amount of time, you know, how have you seen that program grow and in terms of
00:41like how did you think it was it was gonna take, you know, in terms of that
00:46amount of time, you know, did it happen I guess kind of quickly? I think, you know,
00:54Ray alluded to it a little bit. I was very like transparent and some really
01:00good conversations about taking the job. You know, I was in a unique situation as
01:04an assistant in the NBA and I was not, I wasn't like dipping my toe to see how
01:08quickly I could get, you know, a different job in college and when the job came
01:12open, you know, I didn't need a recruiting pitch, you know, from Mike Bone who was
01:18the athletic director at the time. I said I know everything that USC is. I know
01:22what USC is capable of. I know all the intangible things that come with it but
01:28are, you know, you guys, the school, the athletic department really willing to
01:32invest in women's basketball and I asked those questions a lot and, you know, she
01:35just sees the outer parts of it. It wasn't, you know, it's it's not just
01:39pouring resources.
