00:06and most important transport hubs in London, serves as a major interchange for several
00:12underground lines, including the Central, Northern, Waterloo, City and DLR lines. Located
00:19in the heart of the City of London, it is surrounded by the Financial District, which
00:24is home to some of the world's most prominent banks, financial institutions and businesses.
00:30The station itself is named after the Bank of England, which is nearby and often considered
00:35the birthplace of modern banking. The City of London, often referred to simply as The
00:41City, is one of the oldest parts of London, with a history dating back over 2,000 years.
00:46It's the UK's financial capital and international financial centre, housing the London Stock
00:52Exchange and major law firms.
