00:04A school in Mount Holly, New Jersey, is one of the first using the technology to better spot firearms, reports The Hill.
00:12The Rancocas Valley Regional High School is one of the first working with a company called Zero Eyes,
00:18which uses existing video cameras coupled with artificial intelligence gun detection.
00:23The Hill says the software works in the background to flag guns and draw a box around them when visible.
00:30At that point, someone in the company's operations center reviews the alert and if verified,
00:36they immediately notify school officials, dispatch and police.
00:41Zero Eyes is founded by retired Navy SEALs.
00:44The staff is composed of retired members of the military and law enforcement for their operations center.
00:50They believe that being able to get an image of the gun and shooter to the right people is crucial,
00:56since in the past we've seen first responders not knowing what they're getting into.
