00:00So, Angie, you actually live in Florida where there is a big Latino community.
00:06How are these deportations going down?
00:08Are people in support of them or have we seen a backlash at all?
00:13Yeah, no, it's been a big concern, actually.
00:16Even before Trump was inaugurated, there's been a lot of talk amongst Republicans here
00:22because, you know, this is not a MAGA one size fits all policy.
00:27We have a very large Latino community.
00:30There are illegals here, and that's always been part of the fabric, especially in where I am in Miami.
00:37So we have been hearing stories about how children are in school one day
00:42and there are empty seats next to them the next, and we're not sure if they're deported.
00:46We have been seeing the ICE buses roll into neighborhoods and removing family members.
00:51And those are all being echoed back to our congressional members that we can't stand for this.
00:57We did not essentially vote for this.
01:00And I think that is something that we're keeping an eye on for the midterm elections
01:04because this one size fits all deport everybody.
01:08Well, it doesn't really work here in southern Florida, and I am keeping an eye on it.
01:14I'm afraid that it's going to cost us a couple of votes here, especially in south Florida.
01:20I wish that there was a way to work around.
01:23I know that, you know, our congressional members are trying to work with the Trump administration
01:27to have some allowances, and we'll keep an eye on all of this.
