00:00To Eric Dane, and a very sobering announcement that he's made that he's been diagnosed with ALS.
00:08And what's interesting here is that...
00:10How old is he?
00:1050?
00:1152.
00:11Oh, early to 52.
00:13Yeah.
00:13Really sad.
00:15But he is keeping a good attitude about this, and in fact, says that he is not going to stop working.
00:20You know that he was star of Euphoria, and they're about to start shooting that new season.
00:25Finally, he says his diagnosis is not going to keep him from that.
00:30This is what he had to say about getting this news.
00:33He says, I've been diagnosed with ALS.
00:34I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.
00:39I feel fortunate that I'm able to continue working, and I'm looking forward to returning to the set of Euphoria next week.
00:44I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time.
00:47The part about his family being by his side is interesting because...
00:51Rebecca Gayard, they had filed for divorce, and then she withdrew the divorce.
00:54Right, and that divorce had been in the works for years.
00:58But they withdrew that divorce last month, I think it was.
01:03Yeah, it was just a month ago.
01:04So clearly, I think that's something that's been going on.
01:08We don't know when they actually got back together.
01:10It could have been they got back together and just never dealt with the divorce papers.
01:14We just don't know the timeline.
01:15Because they have kids together, we'd seen them together from time to time.
01:19But you didn't know if it was co-parenting or whether they had gotten back together.
01:23But they took an affirmative step a month or so ago to actually withdraw that divorce, and it feels like he really has a family unit around him.
01:32Guys, this is so sad.
01:34This is one of the worst diseases that you can have.
01:36I've seen someone go through it at the very end, and it goes so fast, and it's just devastating to watch.
01:42Yeah.
01:43It's really great that he has a good attitude right now, and we hope that, obviously, hope the best for him and getting through his work on the set of Euphoria.
01:52This is why we need to fund research, medical research.
01:57This is why it's so important.
01:59And I want to say, people always say, we've been giving for how long about cancer, and they haven't cured cancer.
02:05They haven't cured cancer, but it is so treatable now, especially when it's found early.
02:10So there are advancements that can be made that are very helpful to people's lives beyond cure.
02:15Beyond politics, we need to invest in medical research.
02:22It makes a difference in the lives of C to Shining C and to Washington, D.C., too.
02:27Hi, Trey Niang of Akron, Ohio.
02:31This is actually, honestly, sad, and hopefully he and his family can get through this.
02:37Yeah, I mean, really important to have his family around.
02:39Yeah.
02:39So.
