11 years ago, the Territory’s Eels walked out onto the field for the first time, facing off against Canberra Raiders. But with all beginnings, there is an end. Tomorrow night, the teams will go head-to-head in Darwin again. The game marking the last time Parramatta will play as the NT’s NRL team.

00:00Touching down in their home away from home for one last time.
00:06Since 2014, the Parramatta Eels have taken to the field for a home game each year at Darwin Marara Stadium
00:13as part of a 12-year-long anti-government partnership.
00:17It's probably one of the longest standing away games that we've taken one of our home games away for,
00:23so it's obviously been a very long-standing relationship that's been good for both sides.
00:28The Eels have suffered some big losses in Darwin in recent years,
00:32but have won the majority of their top-end matches,
00:36including their last Darwin meeting with the Raiders back in 2019.
00:41They're a completely different team now, so, you know, we're...
00:45Like you do most weeks, you look after your own preparation.
00:48Both teams are saying they are prepared to do whatever it takes to win the game.
00:53Just missing a bit of execution and detail at the end of the games,
00:56and it was good to be rewarded with a bit of fight back last week against the Dragons,
01:00and hopefully we can take some momentum in on Saturday.
01:03Parramatta got a good win on the weekend.
01:04They're a quality side with some really good strike weapons across the park,
01:07so they'll look forward to the game.
01:09It should be a good one and hopefully put a show on for the people of Darwin.
01:12Aside from the games,
01:14the Eels have also taken part in several community outreach programs across the top end,
01:19and as the final whistle rings out this weekend,
01:22it's hoped the NRL's momentum in Darwin will continue.
01:27Great to see the kids here.
01:28It's a good opportunity for them to see some of the players that they only see on TV.
01:32This has been my third time here,
01:35so the last couple of years have been really good.
01:37The community engages really well.
01:39Leaving behind a lasting legacy,
01:42even after the final siren.
01:43Great.
