Western Australians are gearing up to vote a second time in as many months, with the May 3rd federal election drawing closer. The ABC You Say project has been hearing from voters about the issues important to them, we have also been speaking to people directly to hear their concerns.

00:19And in Western Australia, no matter where you live, you are telling us there's a deep
00:22frustration with the status quo.
00:25Kelvin from The Seat of Curtain says while he's had a great education with lots of support
00:30from his parents, he's still feeling hopeless that everything seems to be getting worse.
00:35He says his ability to afford a house is dwindling towards non-existent.
00:40It's a sentiment shared by many of you.
00:42Yeah, rent prices going down would be nice.
00:44Whoever gets in, will they keep their promise, that's the main thing.
00:48Can we trust what they say they're going to actually hold to their truth?
00:53We also heard from you about nuclear energy.
01:10Graham from Austerlind, which falls in the seat of Forest in WA South, said he used to vote
01:15conservative but can't now.
01:17And he's concerned about the prospect of nuclear power plants.
