00:01So the title of the sermon is Daniel's 70th week and this is a difficult sermon, it's a difficult, anything you're dealing with prophecy is difficult because the Bible is full of prophecies that have come true.
00:20And I'm going to show you what Daniel's 70th week, which many sermons have been preached on this, about the 70th week, the 70 weeks that it's talking about.
00:30So if you go to Daniel 9, that's where we get this from.
00:38And we're going to stay mostly in Daniel 9.
00:44Daniel's 70th week, that's the title of the sermon.
00:46So in Daniel 9, starting in verse 24 is where this derives from, 70 weeks.
00:55Are determined upon thy people and upon thy city to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins and to make a reconciliation for iniquity and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to seal up the vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.
01:13So there's a lot of stuff to unpack from here.
01:15And the reason people sometimes don't get this right is because they're not breaking down the sentence.
01:25So 70 weeks.
01:27So 70 weeks is not 70 weeks of days.
01:31It's 70 weeks of years.
01:33So one week is seven years.
01:36And you say, well, how do you know that?
01:37Well, I'm going to show you in a minute.
01:38But that's not disputed.
01:41I mean, everybody knows that.
01:44And, you know, you can look up in the Bible for weeks.
01:46It's hard to find that.
01:47So it's not anything.
01:48So until Daniel's, this prophecy was made, this is not really made at any point in time of a week being a year or seven years.
01:58I'm sorry.
01:59So one week is considered seven years.
02:02Again, that's not disputed.
02:04I'm going to show you how you can tell that.
02:06But if we break this down, verse 24, 70 weeks.
02:11The first part is thy people and holy city.
02:1470 weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city.
02:19Well, that's no more than the nation of Judah because this is the nation of Judah.
02:24This is Daniel is a Jew.
02:26He is from the nation of Judah.
02:28And if you remember, the prophecy in Jeremiah and Isaiah is that the Babylonians were going to come and take over the nation of Judah for 70 years.
02:40Then after the 70 years, what's going to happen?
02:42They're going to go back to their land and go back.
02:45It's a punishment.
02:46It's a punishment for them worshiping other gods, other idols.
02:50That's what happened.
02:51Well, thy people is the nation of Judah or Jews.
02:57And upon thy holy city is what?
02:59Jerusalem.
03:00So that's pretty simple.
03:0170 weeks.
03:03And then to finish the transgression.
03:07To finish the transgression.
03:08So keep your finger there and go to Jeremiah 25.
03:13Jeremiah chapter 25.
03:15So again, the 70 weeks.
03:18I'm sorry.
03:19The 70 years is the transgression.
03:21The transgression is that they worshiped other gods before the Lord.
03:27They went to start worshiping.
03:29You can read that in Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jeremiah.
03:33But look at Jeremiah 25 verse 11.
03:35Because this is, they tell you that it's going to be 70 years.
03:41And if you remember the whole story, the whole book of Jeremiah is that, look, if you fight against these Babylonians, I will not be with you.
03:49You will die.
03:51If you try to resist, you'll starve to death.
03:53You just need to go into captivity.
03:55It means to become a prisoner and go with the Babylonians and you will live.
03:59But if you try to fight against them, if you try to run off to Egypt, which a lot of people did, you'll starve to death and you're going to die.
04:06That's what God told them to.
04:08So look at verse 11.
04:09This whole land, talking about the nation of Judah, shall be a desolation and an astonishment.
04:16And these nations shall serve the king of Babylon 70 years.
04:22So he tells him, 70 years, you're going to serve the nation of Babylon and it shall come to pass when 70 years are accomplished, means after these 70 years, that I will punish the king of Babylon.
04:35And that nation, say to the Lord, for their iniquity in the land of the Chaldeans will make it a perpetual desolation.
04:43So that's what happened.
04:44These things have already happened.
04:46The 70 years went by and that's what Daniel's reading.
04:49He's reading the book of Jeremiah to see what happens.
04:53Go back to Daniel 9.
04:55We'll see that.
04:56Look at Daniel 9 verse 1.
04:59In the first year of Darius, or Darius, however you want to pronounce it, the son of Ahasuerus, the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans.
05:11In the first year of this reign, I, Daniel, understood by books the number of the years where the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet.
05:19That he would accomplish 70 years in the desolation of Jerusalem.
05:23So Daniel went back and read the book of Jeremiah and saw that this was going to happen.
05:29And to let you know, Darius is the son of Ahasuerus.
05:34Ahasuerus, so if you remember the book of Esther, who did she marry?
05:40Ahasuerus.
05:41This is her future husband.
05:45And Darius is the son of him.
05:47So Ahasuerus is also known in the Bible as Artaxerxes.
05:52That's his real name, but they know him as Ahasuerus in the book of Esther.
05:57That's where all this stuff comes in from.
06:01So we know that after Nebuchadnezzar, you can read in Daniel, I believe it's Daniel 5,
06:09where the writing on the wall is that you have his name is Belshazzar and he is Nebuchadnezzar's son or grandson.
06:24Some people say it's his son.
06:26Some people say it's his grandson.
06:27But what he did was he came and he brought all the cubs and all the stuff from there.
06:34And if you remember the story, we don't have time to go through it because we've got a lot of information.
06:38But if you go and read through Daniel, you'll see that when the writing on the wall is there,
06:42it says you will lose your kingdom and you're going to die.
06:45So what happened that night?
06:46He died from the Medes, Darius and Medes.
06:50And that's what it's saying.
06:51Because after the 70 years are accomplished, they're going to come in there, the Medes,
06:57and they're going to take over to Babylon.
06:59That's what it says.
07:00So that's to finish the transgression.
07:02The transgression was that they worship other gods.
07:06Now the next part is what?
07:07To make an end to sins.
07:09Well, we know for sure that nobody's going to, at Daniel's time and on in the future,
07:13nobody's just going to quit sinning.
07:15That just don't make any sense.
07:16So what does that mean?
07:18Keep your finger on Daniel and go to Hebrews.
07:21Hebrews 9.
07:23Hebrews 9.
07:25So this is where you have to combine your knowledge of the Bible.
07:29Nobody stops sinning to the day they die.
07:32So this has nothing to do with people in their sinnings.
07:36So what does this mean?
07:37Hebrews 9 verse 24.
07:40Hebrews 9 verse 24.
07:43For Christ has not entered into the holy places,
07:45talking about the temple,
07:48made with hands.
07:49He's not talking about that.
07:50He's talking about the holy place in heaven.
07:52There's a temple in heaven.
07:54Which the figures are of truth,
07:56but into heaven itself now to appear in the presence of God for us.
08:00So I've told you about dual prophecies.
08:01This is one of them.
08:03That one of the dual prophecies is that he went into a temple in heaven
08:07that was made.
08:09The one they made on earth was just like the one in heaven.
08:13To appear in the presence of God for us.
08:18Nor yet that he should offer himself often as a high priest entered into the whole place
08:23every year with the blood of others.
08:25So we know that the idea was in the Old Testament,
08:29the priest went into the holy of holies
08:31and he'd offered blood of the lamb for the whole,
08:34for everybody.
08:35But he did that every year.
08:38But it's telling us here that Christ didn't have to do that.
08:42He did it once.
08:43Look at the next verse.
08:43For then he must often have suffered since the foundation of the world,
08:47but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin
08:51for the sacrifice of himself.
08:54But it is appointed unto men once to die,
08:56but after this is judgment.
08:58So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many.
09:02And unto them that look for him
09:04shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
09:08Now, I know that Christ died for everyone.
09:11But why does it say many?
09:12Because not everybody's going to accept that free gift.
09:16That's why.
09:16Not everybody's going to accept that atonement.
09:18They're not going to believe that Jesus did that.
09:20He died for everybody.
09:22He's there for everybody to get it.
09:24But it's not that not everybody's going to accept that.
09:28Go back to Daniel 9.
09:30You can keep your finger in Hebrews because we're going to get back there.
09:33So it says to make an end of sins.
09:36That's what Jesus did.
09:38It's talking about the 70 weeks, all 70 weeks.
09:41It's giving you a breakdown of what's going to happen.
09:44And it's not that it's going to happen in a short period of time.
09:49It's kind of like if you said, and this is where people get confused.
09:52This whole thing is a long time.
09:56It's a long period of time.
09:57We're going to see that in a minute.
09:58It's like if you said, in my life, I'm going to be born.
10:01I'm going to go to school.
10:03I'm going to get married.
10:04I'm going to have children.
10:05I'm going to have this job.
10:06I'm going to have that job.
10:07I'm going to retire.
10:08I'm going to die.
10:08Folks, that could be 70 years.
10:10You know, that could be a year whole 70 years or 60 years or however long.
10:14So, you've got to understand this is a long period of time.
10:18Because the next thing says what?
10:20It says, make reconciliation for iniquity.
10:25To make reconciliation for iniquity.
10:28What does that mean?
10:29Go back to Hebrews chapter 2.
10:32Again, you've probably figured it out.
10:34It's talking about Jesus.
10:36Look at this.
10:36Hebrews combines.
10:39We've been through the book of Hebrews.
10:40But it combines the Old Testament with Jesus Christ.
10:44The whole reason.
10:45That's why people have a hard time with Hebrews.
10:47They don't understand that Jesus.
10:49The whole reason.
10:51The killing of the lamb.
10:52The sacrifice.
10:53Was to what?
10:54To show Jesus what he's going to do.
10:57That's why the Jews don't believe it.
10:59Look at Hebrews 2.
11:01Verse 14.
11:04For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood.
11:08He also himself likewise took part of the same.
11:12That through death he might destroy him that hath the power over death.
11:16That is the devil.
11:18And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
11:24For verily he took not on himself the nature of angels.
11:29But he took on him the seed of Abraham.
11:31So Jesus did not come in a bodily.
11:34I mean I'm sorry.
11:35He didn't come in a spiritual type being.
11:38He looked like a man.
11:40That's what it's saying.
11:41Wherefore.
11:43In all things it behooved him.
11:45To be made like unto his brethren.
11:47Mankind.
11:49That he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in the things pertaining to God.
11:54To make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
11:59That's what he did.
11:59He made that reconciliation.
12:02For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted.
12:04He is able to succor them that are tempted.
12:08So the difference is.
12:10Is that we sin.
12:12Jesus never sinned.
12:14He was that perfect lamb.
12:15That perfect sinless lamb.
12:18And he made reconciliation for the iniquity.
12:20Go back to Daniel 9.
12:23So the next part is to bring an everlasting righteousness.
12:27Well we know that our sins are forgiven everlasting.
12:33They're far from the east to the west.
12:35God's never going to bring up our sins when we get to heaven.
12:38We'll be punished for our sins on this earth.
12:39But once we die and go to heaven.
12:41It's not going to be brought up.
12:43He's not going to bring up and say.
12:44Hey remember when you committed adultery.
12:46Remember when you drank beer.
12:48Remember.
12:48That's not going to happen.
12:49Everlasting righteousness.
12:52The day that we die.
12:55The day that Jesus Christ comes in clouds.
12:56The second time.
12:57Our body is going to be made into a spiritual body.
13:01Like Jesus Christ.
13:03Keep your finger in Daniel.
13:05And go to Jeremiah 23.
13:08Jeremiah 23.
13:10This is a prophecy back to Jeremiah.
13:13Again this is why Daniel.
13:14He's reading the book of Jeremiah.
13:16Because this is what he's got.
13:18And he's trying to read to figure out what's going to happen.
13:21He knows that the 70 weeks are coming up.
13:24I'm sorry the 70 years.
13:25Let me get that right.
13:26Of the reconciliation.
13:27And he knows that.
13:29And he's reading.
13:29He's trying to figure out when it is.
13:31He's fixing to be told.
13:33It's fixing to be over with.
13:34Look at Jeremiah 23 verse 5.
13:37Behold the days come.
13:39Said the Lord that I will raise up David.
13:41A righteous branch and a king.
13:44So David.
13:46We know that Jesus Christ.
13:47Came from the bodily lineage of David.
13:51A branch would be.
13:53You know.
13:54You understand about a family tree.
13:56The branch would be something that came from it.
13:59And a king shall reign and prosper.
14:02And shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
14:06In his days.
14:08Judah shall be saved.
14:10And Israel shall dwell safely.
14:13And this is his name.
14:15Whereby he shall be called.
14:17The Lord our righteousness.
14:19That's Jesus Christ.
14:20That's what he's talking about.
14:21The everlasting righteousness.
14:23Go back to Daniel 9.
14:24And then it says.
14:27The next part.
14:29And to seal up the vision and prophecy.
14:33Keep your finger there.
14:34And go to Daniel 12.
14:35Probably one page over.
14:37Maybe two pages over.
14:38Daniel chapter 12 verse 8.
14:41He said.
14:42And I heard but I understood not.
14:44Then said I.
14:45Oh my Lord.
14:46What shall be the end of these things.
14:48And he said.
14:49Go that way Daniel.
14:50For the words are closed up.
14:53And sealed.
14:53Till the end.
14:55Till the time of the end.
14:58But we know that.
15:00At this time.
15:01He's telling me to seal them up.
15:02He's saying.
15:02Look.
15:02Don't worry about it.
15:03It's not going to happen anytime soon.
15:05This is going to be a long time away.
15:08But this is what's going to happen in the 70 years.
15:11Because.
15:11Keep your finger in Daniel.
15:13And go to Revelation.
15:19See if we didn't add a book of Revelation.
15:21It would be difficult.
15:22The book of Daniel would be extremely difficult.
15:25Look at Daniel.
15:26Revelation 22.
15:2710.
15:29This is the last chapter.
15:30Of the last book of the Bible.
15:33And this is what.
15:34The angel is telling.
15:35John.
15:37And he's saying to me.
15:39Seal not the sayings.
15:40Of the prophecy of this book.
15:42For the time is at hand.
15:44Well we know that this was.
15:45Thousands of years ago.
15:47So.
15:47Again.
15:48What is God.
15:49He had days.
15:50Like a thousand years of him.
15:51That's why he's saying it's at hand.
15:53But he's telling.
15:54Daniel.
15:54Hey.
15:55Seal it up.
15:55It's not going to happen anytime soon.
15:57But he's telling.
15:59John.
16:00Hey.
16:00Don't seal it up.
16:01Because it is coming.
16:02Go back to Daniel 9.
16:03So all these things are coming apart.
16:07And then the last part is to anoint the most holy.
16:11Anoint the most holy.
16:14Go to Mark 1.
16:18So the most holy is who?
16:20It's obviously Jesus Christ.
16:23Because you see.
16:24The most holy.
16:25It's a capital H.
16:27If it's the most holy place.
16:29It's not a capital H.
16:31This is a person.
16:33And you can look up Holy One.
16:34The Holy One of Israel.
16:36Throughout the New Testament.
16:37And Old Testament.
16:38And it constantly says.
16:39It's Jesus Christ.
16:41So anoint the most holy.
16:46So look at Mark.
16:47Chapter 1.
16:50Let me get there myself.
16:54Verse 21.
16:55And they went into Capernaum.
16:59And straightway on the Sabbath day.
17:02He entered into the synagogue.
17:04And taught.
17:04And they were astonished at his doctrine.
17:07This is Jesus Christ.
17:07He's teaching in the temple.
17:10Or the synagogue.
17:12This is a Jewish synagogue.
17:14And he taught them as one that had authority.
17:16And not as the scribes.
17:17And there was in the synagogue.
17:21A man with an unclean spirit.
17:23And he cried out.
17:23I wonder how many today.
17:25You are in a synagogue with an unclean spirit.
17:27Saying.
17:28Let us alone.
17:29What have we to do with thee?
17:31Thou Jesus of Nazareth.
17:34Art thou come to destroy us?
17:36I know thee who thou art.
17:38The Holy One of God.
17:39So even the demons that are possessing this man.
17:42Know that Jesus Christ.
17:44Is the Holy One of God.
17:46And Jesus rebuked him.
17:47Saying.
17:48Hold thy peace.
17:48And come out of him.
17:49And when the unclean spirit had torn him.
17:52And cried with a loud voice.
17:53He came out of him.
17:55And they were amazed.
17:56In so much.
17:57They questioned among themselves.
17:58Saying.
17:58What thing is this?
18:00What new doctrine is this?
18:02For with authority commandeth.
18:04He even the unclean spirits.
18:05That they do obey him.
18:07And immediately.
18:08His fame spread abroad.
18:10Throughout the region.
18:11Around about Galilee.
18:12So again.
18:13It talks about.
18:14Anointing the most holy.
18:15Again.
18:15This is the whole 70 weeks.
18:17The whole.
18:18You know.
18:19If you did the math.
18:19You saved 490 years.
18:21But that's.
18:21That's not exact.
18:22You can't go back 490 years.
18:25Go to verse 25.
18:26Back to Daniel 9.
18:28So I'm going to show you why.
18:34I'm just going to simply tell you.
18:36God wants us to know what's going on.
18:38But he does not want us to know.
18:40When it's going on.
18:41He does not want the day or the hour.
18:43To be known.
18:44Because the people could go back.
18:46They could go back and say.
18:47Well I can go back 490 years.
18:49And figure out when Jesus was going to come.
18:51But you can't do that.
18:53Why?
18:53Look at verse 25.
18:55Know therefore and understand.
18:57That the going forth of the commandment.
19:00To restore and rebuild Jerusalem unto the Messiah.
19:04The prince.
19:05Shall be seven weeks.
19:07And.
19:08Three score.
19:10And two weeks.
19:11The street shall be built again.
19:13And the wall.
19:14Even in troublous times.
19:17So he's saying.
19:18It's not just 70 weeks.
19:20It's seven weeks.
19:23And then it's 62 weeks.
19:26Folks.
19:26I'm not the one that divided it up.
19:28God did.
19:29So he says.
19:30First restore and rebuild Jerusalem.
19:34And then at the end it says.
19:35Even.
19:36And the wall.
19:37Even in troublous times.
19:39Well keep your finger there.
19:40And go to Ezra 4.
19:41Because this is when this happens.
19:44Ezra.
19:45Chapter 4.
19:46Ezra is right after.
19:482nd Chronicles.
19:53So this is the rebuilding of the temple.
19:55He's saying the temple is going to be rebuilt.
19:57But.
19:58In troublous times.
20:00And this is already happening.
20:03Now you say.
20:04Why is Ezra before Daniel?
20:05Because.
20:07The.
20:07If you remember years ago.
20:09I preached on a sermon about.
20:10The way the Bible was.
20:12These are minor prophets.
20:14It's not in.
20:15It's not in chronological order.
20:16I'm actually going through the Bible.
20:17In chronological order.
20:19And they did come back.
20:21And rebuild the temple.
20:25Look at.
20:26Ezra chapter 4.
20:27Verse 1.
20:28And when the adversaries of Judah.
20:30And Benjamin.
20:31Heard that the children of the captivity.
20:33Builded the temple.
20:34Unto the Lord God of Israel.
20:36Then they came to Zerubbabel.
20:39And to the chief of the fathers.
20:41And said unto them.
20:42Let us build with you.
20:43For we seek your God.
20:44As ye do.
20:45And we do sacrifice unto him.
20:47Since the days of Esar.
20:50Had done.
20:51King of Asur.
20:53Which brought us up hither.
20:54But Zerubbabel.
20:55And Jeshua.
20:56And the rest of the chief.
20:58Of the fathers of Israel.
20:59Said unto them.
21:00Ye have nothing to do.
21:02With us to build.
21:03An house.
21:04Unto our God.
21:05But we.
21:06Ourselves together.
21:07Will build.
21:08Unto the Lord God of Israel.
21:09As king Cyrus.
21:11The king of Persia.
21:12Had commanded us.
21:14Then the people of the land.
21:16Weakened the hands of the people of Judah.
21:17And troubled them in building.
21:19And hired counselors.
21:21Against them.
21:23To frustrate their purpose.
21:25All the days of Cyrus.
21:26The king of Persia.
21:27Even unto the reign of Darius.
21:29The king of Persia.
21:31So while Cyrus.
21:33And Darius.
21:34Were king.
21:36They hired counselors.
21:37To frustrate their purpose.
21:38Means that they kept trying to.
21:41Continue.
21:42To keep them.
21:43From building the temple.
21:44That's what it said in Daniel.
21:46Correct?
21:46Now go to Nehemiah.
21:49Chapter 4.
21:50It's the next book.
21:51Over.
21:53Nehemiah.
21:53Chapter 4.
21:55This is about the wall.
21:56Ezra's about the temple.
21:57Rebuilding of the temple.
21:59Which Cyrus.
22:00Was the king.
22:01That was the instrument.
22:02For God.
22:03To use.
22:04To have it rebuilt.
22:05He didn't make a commandment.
22:06He wanted the temple rebuilt.
22:08Nehemiah 4.
22:09Verse 1.
22:10And it came to pass.
22:11When Samballot.
22:13Heard that we.
22:14Builded the wall.
22:15He was wroth.
22:17And took indignation.
22:18And mocked the Jews.
22:20And he spake before his brethren.
22:22And the army of Samaria.
22:23And said.
22:24What are these feeble Jews?
22:25Will they fortify themselves?
22:27Will they sacrifice?
22:29Will they make an end in a day?
22:31Will they revive the stones.
22:32Out of the heaps of the rubbish.
22:34Which are burned.
22:34Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him.
22:37And he said.
22:38Even that which they build.
22:39If a fox go up.
22:41He shall even break down the stone wall.
22:44Hear O God.
22:45For we are despised.
22:46And turn their reproach upon their head.
22:48Their own head.
22:49And give for them a prey in the land of captivity.
22:53Cover not their iniquity.
22:55And let not their sin be blotted out.
22:56From before thee.
22:58For they have provoked thee to anger.
23:00Before the builders.
23:01So built we the wall.
23:03And all the wall was joined together.
23:06Into the half thereof.
23:07For the people had mine to work.
23:09So we see that the wall was built.
23:11In troublous times.
23:12If you read the whole book of Nehemiah.
23:15You'll see that they had to carry weapons with them.
23:18There were people that were watching on the wall.
23:20They had to fight against these people.
23:21While they were building.
23:22Some people were building.
23:23Some people were protecting the builders.
23:25While they were building.
23:27Go back to Daniel 9.
23:28So that's what we see.
23:29And the sand shall be seven weeks.
23:33And three score and two weeks.
23:36So the middle part says what?
23:38To rebuild Jerusalem.
23:40We saw that.
23:41Rebuilding Jerusalem.
23:42In 586 B.C.
23:45Nebuchadnezzar came in there.
23:46And he destroyed Jerusalem.
23:48He destroyed the temple.
23:49He burned the city down.
23:51And he took all the instruments out of the temple.
23:54And he brought them back with him.
23:55And then what happened?
23:59Then in Nehemiah chapter 4.
24:00We see what he.
24:02They go back.
24:02And they rebuild the wall.
24:04So to rebuild the city.
24:06But it says.
24:07And the Messiah.
24:08The prince.
24:09Shall be seven weeks.
24:11With the Messiah.
24:12Go to John 1.
24:14That's Jesus Christ.
24:15I mean.
24:16There's no dispute there.
24:17We're not to people who know the Bible.
24:22Look at.
24:24John chapter 1.
24:26Verse 41.
24:29And this is when.
24:31John speaking to Andrew.
24:35Simon Peter's brother.
24:36He findeth his own brother.
24:37Simon said unto him.
24:39We have found.
24:40The Messiahs.
24:42So in the Old Testament.
24:43It's Messiah.
24:45You know.
24:45They change names from Greek.
24:48It's Messiahs.
24:49Which is being interpreted to Christ.
24:51So the word Messiah.
24:52Means Christ.
24:57It's kind of funny.
24:58The other day.
24:59I was watching an episode of MASH.
25:01And there was a guy that.
25:03Something was wrong with his brain.
25:04Or whatever.
25:05He thought he was Jesus.
25:06Or something.
25:07And one of the guys.
25:09He was an obvious Jew.
25:10His name was Dr. Freeman.
25:12He's a psychiatrist.
25:13He came and said.
25:15He's not my Messiah.
25:16Which is true.
25:17That's not.
25:18Jesus is not the Jews Messiah.
25:20That's one thing they claim.
25:21But he is our Messiah.
25:23He's the Messiah of the world.
25:25But the Jews don't claim him.
25:28And then it says Prince.
25:29With a capital P.
25:30Jesus is known as the Prince of Peace.
25:33I can show you that.
25:34We know that.
25:35He is the Prince of Prince.
25:37He's the King of Kings.
25:38And then it says.
25:41What?
25:41Seven weeks.
25:42And two weeks.
25:43So if you add that.
25:44That's 69 weeks.
25:45Or 483 weeks.
25:47Again.
25:47You think they could go back.
25:49But there's a division.
25:51God just didn't say 70 weeks.
25:53He said seven weeks.
25:55And then 62.
25:56And then there's another one week.
25:58That makes 70.
25:59Right?
25:59Look at verse 26.
26:00We're going to go back to that at the end.
26:04And so we know that the 70 weeks is years 490.
26:09Because what?
26:11Because Jesus did not come that quick.
26:15He didn't come in less than a year.
26:17Or I'm sorry.
26:18More than a year.
26:18If it was 70 weeks.
26:20You know 52 weeks is a year.
26:22He didn't come in a year and a half.
26:25And then it says.
26:26And three score and two weeks.
26:28Shall Messiah be cut off.
26:32So that's.
26:33If you add that together.
26:35That's 434 weeks.
26:38I'm sorry.
26:38434 years.
26:40But we know that that didn't happen.
26:42In that period of time.
26:44You can't go back 434 years and say.
26:47Alright.
26:47From this time.
26:48It didn't happen.
26:49Because there is a gap.
26:51And people like to dispute it.
26:53They say.
26:53Well there's not a gap.
26:54Well God said there's seven years.
26:55And 62.
26:57And then plus one.
26:58That makes 70.
27:00And that's when all.
27:01Of this is going to be determined.
27:04Shall Messiah be cut off.
27:07Folks.
27:07It's a good prophecy.
27:08That Jesus Christ is going to be killed.
27:10That's what cut off means.
27:13But.
27:14Not for himself.
27:16What does that mean?
27:17It means he's going to die.
27:18But not for himself.
27:19Go to.
27:19Keep your finger there.
27:20Go to Romans 3.
27:24You know.
27:24There's a lot of people that die.
27:26Because of their sins.
27:27That's what the Bible is telling us.
27:28Is that Jesus is going to be cut off.
27:31But not for himself.
27:33There's a good prophecy.
27:34That Jesus Christ was going to die.
27:37For the sins of others.
27:39Look at Romans 3.23.
27:41This famous verse.
27:44That we use out of Soul Wind.
27:45For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
27:48Being justified.
27:51Freely.
27:52By his grace.
27:53Means that we're justified.
27:56By Jesus Christ.
27:57Freely.
27:58Don't cost us anything.
27:59All we have to do is believe.
28:01Through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
28:03Whom God has set for to be a perpetuation through faith.
28:08What is a perpetuation?
28:09It means that he's in our place.
28:12We did not have to die on the cross for our sins.
28:14Jesus did that.
28:15He's a perpetuation.
28:17Through faith.
28:18Means that we don't have to do anything.
28:20But believe on that.
28:22In his blood.
28:24To declare his righteousness.
28:26For the remissions of sins.
28:29Means that once we believe.
28:31And we have faith.
28:32That our sins are passed.
28:34Through the forbearance of God.
28:37To declare I say.
28:38At this time.
28:39His righteousness.
28:40That he might be just.
28:42And the justifier of.
28:43In him.
28:45Which believeth in Jesus.
28:47So it's pretty clear.
28:48That Jesus died.
28:50Not for himself.
28:51He had no sin.
28:53He was perfect.
28:53He died for everybody.
28:55That's why the Messiah was cut off.
28:57But not for himself.
28:58There's a great prophecy.
28:59In the book of Daniel.
29:01To tell us that there.
29:02The Messiah would die.
29:03For our sins.
29:05Now you remember constantly.
29:06Throughout the Bible.
29:07Throughout the.
29:08The gospels.
29:09That Jesus had to keep saying.
29:11I'm going to die.
29:12I'm going to die.
29:13I'm going to die for you.
29:14That's what Peter tells them.
29:16They should have read the book of Daniel.
29:17Shouldn't they?
29:19Go back to Daniel 9.
29:20Again.
29:21We have the Holy Spirit.
29:22To show us these things.
29:25Daniel 9.
29:26Let's finish this up.
29:27It says.
29:27But not for himself.
29:29And the people of the prince.
29:31That shall come.
29:33Shall destroy the city.
29:35So the people of the prince.
29:37Are who?
29:37The Romans.
29:38This happened in 67 AD.
29:42It's called the Jewish Roman War.
29:45They came into Rome.
29:46You know.
29:47They were over Rome.
29:48We know that when Jesus Christ died.
29:49That the Romans were over the Jews.
29:51Well they started to revolt.
29:53I think it's called the Maccabee Revolt.
29:55Or something like that.
29:56I don't remember.
29:56Something happened.
29:58Where they started tightening the screws down on the Jews.
30:01No.
30:02No intended for it to rhyme.
30:04And then they started revolting.
30:06And then there was a war.
30:07Called the Jewish Roman War.
30:09And it lasted seven years.
30:11Let's keep reading.
30:12The people of the prince.
30:14Now notice the prince is lower case.
30:16So this ain't Jesus.
30:17Shall come and destroy the city.
30:21Talking about Jerusalem.
30:22And the sanctuary.
30:23Which is what?
30:24The temple.
30:26So.
30:27That happened.
30:29This is already gone.
30:31And the end there shall be with a flood.
30:33And until the end of the war.
30:35Desolations are determined.
30:36So.
30:37When I was looking this up.
30:39I was trying to find something.
30:40Because.
30:41You got to understand.
30:43Other than the Bible.
30:44History back then is very hard to find.
30:46Because people didn't know how to write.
30:49They didn't think about history being written down.
30:52So dates and time.
30:53Dates of things happening.
30:55Is very difficult to find.
30:58So when I was looking this up.
31:00I found something ding-a-ling on the internet.
31:02That was trying to tell us.
31:04That all this has already happened.
31:06There's nothing left to see.
31:07There's no antichrist.
31:08Nothing coming.
31:10But I want to show this to you.
31:12One of the things he said was a flood.
31:14That there was a flood in Jerusalem.
31:16At that time.
31:17And everybody drowned.
31:18There's no record of that folks.
31:20In fact we know.
31:22That anytime you see the word flood.
31:24It's what?
31:25It's a bunch of soldiers.
31:28I remember watching a movie.
31:30About the D-Day invasion.
31:35When they invaded France.
31:36The Americans and the Canadians.
31:38And all the British.
31:40And when you see it.
31:41You just see waves of people just coming.
31:43That's what it looks like.
31:44It's like a flood of people coming.
31:46Like if you flooded the bathtub.
31:48And you just see water keep coming and coming.
31:51That's what it's talking about.
31:52A flood.
31:52Because the next thing it says.
31:54And until the end of the war.
31:56Desolations are determined.
31:58So there's a war.
31:59And the flood is not water.
32:00It's a flood of people.
32:03That's what it's talking about.
32:04Not water.
32:05To the end of the war.
32:09Look at verse 27.
32:10And he shall confirm the covenant.
32:14The covenant.
32:15With many for one week.
32:17And in the midst of the week.
32:19He shall cause the sacrifice.
32:20And the oblation to cease.
32:22And for the overspreading of abominations.
32:25He shall make it desolate.
32:27Even unto the consummation.
32:29And that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
32:32So at first it says.
32:33He shall confirm the covenant.
32:36With many for one week.
32:37For what is that?
32:38Seven years.
32:39Right?
32:39That one week.
32:40That's the last week we're talking about.
32:41This is seven years.
32:43The midst of the week.
32:44Shall cause the oblation to cease.
32:46The abomination.
32:47And then you see the abomination.
32:48And desolation.
32:50So I want to break this down.
32:51This last part.
32:53Because again.
32:53This guy said.
32:54All this is done with.
32:56And I'm going to show you.
32:57What his argument was.
32:58And I'm going to show you.
32:59Why it's wrong.
33:00Because of the Bible.
33:01Maybe he doesn't have the right Bible.
33:03He did not have a King James Bible.
33:05Just because some of the wording.
33:06Was kind of weird.
33:08So go back to verse 25.
33:10And let's look at this.
33:13Seven plus 62 plus one equals 70.
33:16Now there's a gap.
33:18God makes the gap.
33:19Why is that?
33:20Well.
33:21The seven years.
33:22Is the first part of Tausabai.
33:24And it says what?
33:26That the city will be rebuilt.
33:30The wall will be rebuilt.
33:31The temple will be rebuilt.
33:32All that happened.
33:33Now again.
33:34When I got on the internet.
33:35And I tried to figure out.
33:36How long it took.
33:36The second temple to be built.
33:39Everybody said seven years.
33:42Well.
33:42We're going to go with the Bible.
33:43Go to John 2.
33:46Now we got to understand.
33:47That everything in the Bible is true.
33:49I don't believe it was seven years.
33:56So why is there a gap?
33:57Because God said seven years.
34:01And then 62.
34:03And then one.
34:06Look at John 2.
34:0818.
34:08Then answered the Jews.
34:11He's talking to Jesus.
34:12And said unto him.
34:14What sign showest thou unto us.
34:16Seeing that thou doest these things.
34:18So again.
34:18Remember.
34:19Jesus.
34:20The Jews are always looking for a sign.
34:21The Gentiles are always looking for wisdom.
34:24Jesus answered and said unto them.
34:25Destroy this temple.
34:27And in three days I'll raise it up.
34:29Again.
34:29This is a dual prophecy.
34:31He's saying that this temple is going to be destroyed.
34:34Which it did.
34:35In 70 AD.
34:37In 70 AD.
34:38Titus.
34:39The Roman leader.
34:41He destroyed the temple in 70 AD.
34:4470 years.
34:46Of our Lord.
34:47After our Lord came.
34:49That's what AD means.
34:50It's not after death.
34:51B.C. is before Christ.
34:55Now he's talking about the.
34:56And look at the next part.
34:57Then said the Jews.
34:58Forty and six years.
35:01Was this temple and building.
35:03So this is the second temple.
35:04And the Jews are telling you.
35:06That it took 46 years.
35:08Well you know what.
35:09By the time they built the street.
35:11And built the wall.
35:12Could have been 49 years.
35:14I don't know.
35:16Either the Jews are lying about it.
35:17Or whatever.
35:18I don't know.
35:19But.
35:19I'm going to go with the Bible.
35:21Because it says 46 years.
35:22And Jesus isn't disputing it.
35:24And nobody's disputing it.
35:25We got to understand that these could be the words of the Holy Spirit.
35:28And this is true.
35:29Again.
35:29There's nobody can find this.
35:31They're just.
35:31Guestimating.
35:33Because there's no.
35:34Nothing written down.
35:36Most of it comes from.
35:37Guess what.
35:37The Talmud.
35:38Which we know that's really true.
35:40Because it says that Jesus is still burning in hell.
35:44But he's fake of the temple of his body.
35:46So he's talking about in three days.
35:48He's going to raise this temple up.
35:49He's saying this is the sign you need to know.
35:51Which is the death, burial, and resurrection of him.
35:54That's what he's saying.
35:56Go back to Daniel 9.
35:57And so I believe that the seven years he's talking about is the 46 years it took to build the temple.
36:05Because the Jews are telling him that.
36:07But you take the temple, the wall, and the streets.
36:11And it might have been 49 years.
36:13That's why there's a gap.
36:14But then it's not completely 483 years because there's a gap.
36:20Why did God tell us there's a gap?
36:22Again, God wants us to know what's going on.
36:24But he's not going to tell you because it would destroy faith.
36:27It would destroy faith if he gives the exact time.
36:32The first temple was destroyed in 586 B.C.
36:35586 years before Christ.
36:38But folks, nobody's sitting there with a calendar and saying,
36:41Hey, Jesus Christ is here.
36:43Let's restart the calendar.
36:44They didn't do that.
36:46It's like nobody during World War II is saying,
36:49Hey, this is World War II.
36:50They didn't name that until after the war.
36:53They didn't know.
36:53They just do their fighting for their life.
36:55They didn't know, Hey, this is World War II.
36:56They didn't know that for many years after until the war was going on.
37:01People don't label things until after the fact.
37:05So, again, there's seven years left, right?
37:08There's one week that's remaining because you got the seven, the 62, and one week left.
37:15Well, in 67 A.D., 67 years after Jesus came on this earth as a baby, guess what happened?
37:25The Jewish-Roman War.
37:27And it lasted from 67 A.D. to 73 A.D., which is what?
37:33Seven years.
37:35Seven years.
37:35So, there's your one week.
37:37But, and guess what?
37:39In the midst of the week in 70 A.D., guess what happened?
37:43The temple was destroyed.
37:44Go to Matthew 24.
37:46So, most people, they're called preterists.
37:50And I'm going to write this on the board.
37:52It's called preterism or historicism.
38:06And that's what this guy on the internet was saying.
38:09Nothing to see here, folks.
38:11This is all prophecy done.
38:13Yes, but what he don't understand is dual and triple prophecy.
38:17The preterism says that everything in the Old Testament has already happened.
38:21Nothing to see here.
38:22The New Testament is the New Testament.
38:24But he's wrong.
38:26Or historicism.
38:28But that wouldn't make sense because look at Matthew 24.
38:34Matthew 24.
38:35And Jesus went out and departed out from the temple.
38:38And his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.
38:42And Jesus said unto them,
38:44See you not all these things?
38:45Verily I say unto you,
38:46There shall not be left one stone upon another that shall be thrown down.
38:51And that's what happened in 70 A.D.
38:53He's giving you a prophecy that's going to happen.
38:57But then go to Matthew 24.
38:59Say in Matthew 24, go to verse 15.
39:02So if all this has happened in Daniel and there's nothing to see,
39:06look at verse 15.
39:07When ye therefore,
39:08he's telling the Jews,
39:09he's telling his believers,
39:11his disciples,
39:12when ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet,
39:20stand in the holy place,
39:21whosoever readeth,
39:22let him understand.
39:23He's talking about go read the book of Daniel.
39:25Understand.
39:26Let them which be in Judea flee in the mountains.
39:29Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house.
39:33Neither let him which is at the field return back to take his clothes.
39:38And woe unto them that are with child,
39:40and to them that give suck in those days.
39:43But pray ye that your flight would be not in the winter,
39:46not on the Sabbath day.
39:47For then shall be great tribulation,
39:49as was not since the beginning of the world to this time,
39:52nor ever shall be.
39:54So he's talking about a great tribulation time.
39:58In the middle.
39:59Well, that did happen in 70 A.D.
40:01I'm sure they did get slaughtered and killed.
40:04But the world, that's the key word.
40:07The world is never seen.
40:09The world is never seen.
40:10And again, if we didn't have the book of Revelation,
40:12so if this has already happened,
40:13why is Jesus talking about it?
40:15It don't make any sense for Jesus to be talking about it
40:17if it's already happened.
40:19So this guy,
40:21this preterist, or this historist,
40:23what he would say,
40:24go back to Daniel 9.
40:26The first part he said was in the verse 24.
40:33He said to anoint the most holy place.
40:36That's not what it says.
40:39I don't even know if these other Bible versions say the holy place.
40:42So what he was saying was,
40:44is that Jerusalem was anointed as a holy place
40:48for where Jesus died.
40:50And that is true.
40:51It wasn't anointed.
40:52You don't anoint a city.
40:53In fact, the whole time you read,
40:55if you just look at the word anoint in the Bible,
40:58it's about kings.
40:59King Saul was anointed with oil.
41:01King David was anointed with oil.
41:03All the kings, all the prophets were anointed with oil.
41:07That's like them receiving the Holy Spirit.
41:11And what he was trying to say is,
41:14is that the holy place,
41:16again, it doesn't say place.
41:18You're adding to the Bible.
41:20It doesn't say, it says to anoint the most holy.
41:22And let me show you where that's going to happen.
41:28Again, the dual prophecy.
41:30Go to John 1.
41:32Keep your finger on Daniel.
41:35John 1.
41:37And then some people say,
41:38well, Jesus was anointed when he was baptized.
41:41Dual prophecy.
41:43Look at John 1.29.
41:44The next day John seeeth Jesus coming unto him and said,
41:49Behold the Lamb of God,
41:50which taketh away the sin of the world.
41:52This is he whom I said,
41:54after cometh a man which is preferred before me,
41:58for he was before me.
42:00And I knew him not,
42:02but that he should be made manifest to Israel.
42:05Therefore am I come baptizing with water.
42:07And John bare record saying,
42:09I saw the spirit descending from him like a dove and abode upon him.
42:13And I knew not and knew him not,
42:15but he that sent me to baptize with water,
42:18the same said unto me,
42:19upon whom thou shalt see the spirit descending and remaining on him,
42:22the same is he which baptized with the Holy Ghost.
42:25And I saw and bare record that this is the Son of God.
42:30And we know before that there's other times where Peter,
42:33where Jesus said,
42:34This is my Son.
42:36You know,
42:36This is my beloved Son who I'm well pleased.
42:39They're saying that's the anointing of Jesus.
42:43And that would make sense.
42:45But again,
42:45guess what we got?
42:46The book of Revelation.
42:47Go to Revelation 20.
42:48Keep your finger in Daniel.
42:49We're going to go back to there.
42:51Go to Revelation.
42:52So when does this happen?
42:53Anointing the Most Holy.
42:55These are the things that he said
42:57that I just felt like were against the Bible.
43:01Dual prophecy.
43:02Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit.
43:04We saw that.
43:06The Holy Spirit came upon him like a dove descended on him.
43:10And then people put doves on their car.
43:11But look at Revelation 20.
43:15This is after Jesus comes,
43:16the third coming,
43:17if you want to put a number on it.
43:18When he comes in the clouds,
43:20on a horse,
43:21in the clouds,
43:22on no clouds,
43:22on the horse,
43:23and he destroys everybody.
43:25This is the battle of Armageddon
43:26and he kills everybody that is against him.
43:28Look at chapter 20 verse 1.
43:31And I saw an angel come down from heaven.
43:35This is not a demon.
43:37This is an angel of God that came down from heaven,
43:40having the key of the bottomless pit
43:42and a great chain in his hand.
43:43People like to say this is some demon.
43:47Folks, demons are not running hell.
43:50Jesus Christ has the keys to heaven and hell.
43:52There's an angel that is running hell.
43:55That's what it says.
43:56It says that you will burn in hell
43:58before the lamb and his angels.
44:00So people burning in hell
44:01are burning before Jesus Christ and the angels.
44:04And he laid hold on the dragon,
44:06that old serpent,
44:08which is the devil,
44:09and Satan,
44:10and bound him a thousand years.
44:12So this angel is going to come down from heaven.
44:15He's going to take Satan
44:16and he's going to put him in a hole,
44:19a bottomless pit,
44:20and he's going to be there
44:21and he's going to be sealed up for a thousand years.
44:23Alright?
44:24What happens then?
44:26That he should deceive the nations no more
44:29till the thousand years shall be fulfilled.
44:31And after that,
44:32he must be loosed a little season.
44:34So after the thousand years,
44:35he's going to be loosed.
44:36That's what the Bible says.
44:37And I saw thrones,
44:38and they sat upon them,
44:40and judgment was given unto them.
44:41And I saw the souls of them
44:43that were beheaded
44:43for the witness of Jesus,
44:45for the word of God,
44:46and which had not worshipped the beast,
44:48neither his image,
44:49neither had received his mark
44:50upon their foreheads,
44:51or in their hands,
44:52and they lived and reigned with Christ
44:54a thousand years,
44:56but the rest of the dead
44:57lived not again
44:58until the thousand years were finished.
45:00This is the first resurrection.
45:02Blessed and holy
45:03is he that hath part in the first resurrection.
45:06Of such,
45:07second death hath no power,
45:09but they shall be priests of God
45:11and of Christ
45:12and shall reign with him a thousand years.
45:14So when Jesus Christ,
45:16after the 70th year done,
45:19that's what it says,
45:20Jesus Christ will be anointed.
45:22What is that?
45:22The seven year period.
45:24The three and a half years of tribulation,
45:26the three and a half years of God's wrath.
45:28We know that's what's going to happen
45:29right after the destruction
45:31of the battle of Armageddon.
45:33That's the last thing that happens.
45:35When that happens,
45:36guess what?
45:37This is when this is going to happen.
45:38God the Father is going to anoint Jesus
45:40to rule and reign for a thousand years.
45:43That's what it means.
45:44And people would say,
45:45no, no, Jesus is ruling and reigning now.
45:47No, he's not.
45:48He's king of kings.
45:50He's the Lord.
45:51He's the Savior.
45:52But if you think God,
45:54Jesus Christ is running this world
45:56in the filthy nation,
45:57the world,
45:58just our own nation,
45:59you are wrong.
46:00You are very wrong.
46:01Go back to Daniel 9.
46:04And he said God's people
46:06in verse,
46:07let me see,
46:09the people,
46:13verse 26,
46:14the people of the prince
46:15shall come
46:16and destroy the city
46:17and the sanctuary.
46:18He was saying these are God's people.
46:20Now folks,
46:21nowhere in the Bible
46:21does it talk about
46:22the saints,
46:24God's people,
46:25destroying Jerusalem.
46:26In fact,
46:26you'll see
46:27when Jesus Christ
46:28left the earth
46:29and after
46:3040 days,
46:33after the
46:33time
46:35of where
46:35Jesus
46:37left this earth,
46:38what did he tell
46:38them to do?
46:40He told them
46:41to leave Jerusalem,
46:42go out to the
46:43uttermost part
46:44of the world
46:44and that's what they did.
46:46They didn't stay
46:47in Jerusalem.
46:47They didn't stay
46:48in Jerusalem
46:48and burn the city down.
46:50The only people
46:51that were there
46:51are the people
46:52who hated
46:52Jesus Christ
46:53mainly.
46:55The other ones
46:55were killed.
46:57So the disciples
46:57didn't stick around there.
46:59But you can't say
47:00the people
47:00of the prince,
47:01little P,
47:02are Jesus' people.
47:05Saved people.
47:06But what they are,
47:07they're the Romans.
47:08That's what he was
47:09trying to say
47:09that the God's people
47:11are these people,
47:12the prince.
47:13Nowhere does it
47:13say that.
47:16Now the Messiah
47:17was cut off
47:18but the people
47:19of the prince,
47:20if it was Jesus
47:20it'd be a capital P
47:21because look at
47:22verse 25.
47:24The prince,
47:25so they tried
47:26to take that word
47:26prince.
47:27Folks,
47:28the word prince
47:28just means leader,
47:29king,
47:30whatever.
47:31There's some
47:32weirdo guy
47:32who's burning in hell
47:33now he called
47:34himself prince
47:35but that's not
47:36who it is.
47:36It's talking about
47:37the prince of
47:38the people
47:38which was the
47:40Romans.
47:41That's what
47:41it's talking about.
47:45So destroy the
47:46city and the
47:47sanctuary.
47:47That's what
47:48happened in
47:4867 AD.
47:50They came in
47:51and destroyed
47:52the city
47:53and in 70 AD
47:54in the midst
47:55of that week
47:56that's what
47:57happened.
47:58They destroyed
47:58the temple.
48:00That's what
48:00it's talking about.
48:01But again
48:02it's going to
48:02happen in
48:03the future
48:03too.
48:04The prince
48:05of the city
48:06is not
48:06Jesus.
48:07That's
48:07Titus.
48:11Then they
48:11said,
48:12look at
48:12verse 27.
48:14This guy
48:14was trying
48:14to say
48:15he shall
48:15confirm the
48:16covenant
48:17with many
48:17for one
48:18week.
48:19He was
48:19trying to
48:19say the
48:19covenant
48:20if you
48:22will go
48:22keep your
48:23finger there
48:23and go to
48:23Luke 22.
48:25He's
48:26saying yeah
48:26that's already
48:26happened.
48:27The covenant
48:27has already
48:27been confirmed
48:28with many
48:28and it's
48:29in the
48:30Bible.
48:30It's in
48:30the verse
48:31book of
48:32Luke.
48:33Luke 22
48:34verse 20.
48:37Likewise
48:37also the
48:39cup after
48:39supper
48:40saying this
48:41is the
48:42new testament
48:42in my
48:43blood which
48:44is shed
48:44for you.
48:46So he's
48:47trying to
48:48say that
48:49the covenant
48:49that they're
48:51making is
48:52Jesus Christ
48:53making that
48:53covenant with
48:54many is
48:55when he's
48:55at the
48:55Lord's
48:56supper and
48:56he's doing
48:57that.
48:58Now the
48:58Lord's
48:58testament
48:59and
48:59covenant
48:59are the
49:00same
49:00thing.
49:01It's a
49:01promise.
49:04Go back
49:05to Daniel
49:059.
49:06But that's
49:07not what
49:07it's
49:07talking
49:07about.
49:08It's
49:08saying he
49:09who's
49:10the he
49:10it's
49:10the prince
49:11little
49:11p.
49:12shall
49:12make a
49:13covenant
49:13with them
49:14for one
49:15week.
49:17And in
49:17the midst
49:17of a week
49:17he shall
49:18cause a
49:18sacrifice
49:19and oblation
49:19to cease.
49:20So they're
49:20trying to
49:21say that
49:23when Jesus
49:23died on
49:24the cross
49:24they didn't
49:25have to
49:25sacrifice
49:25anymore.
49:27Folks if
49:27you believe
49:28that you're
49:28wrong.
49:29If you
49:30believe that
49:31in 33
49:31AD when
49:32Jesus died
49:33on the
49:33cross they
49:33didn't have
49:34the Passover
49:34anymore you're
49:35wrong.
49:36The Jews
49:36still done
49:37it.
49:37It wasn't
49:37until God
49:38had the
49:39temple
49:39destroyed that
49:40that's when
49:41that happened.
49:42They did
49:43still do that.
49:44So it's not
49:44when after the
49:45Lord's
49:45supper and
49:46after Jesus
49:47died and was
49:47resurrected they
49:48quit doing
49:48that.
49:49Because the
49:49Jews still
49:50did that.
49:51So that's not
49:52what it's
49:52talking about.
49:53Now it is
49:53true that we
49:54don't worry
49:55about that.
49:56He has
49:56died once
49:57for all but
49:59that's not
49:59what it's
49:59talking about.
50:00You've got to
50:00understand this
50:01is about
50:01saved people.
50:02It's not
50:03about the
50:03Lord's
50:03supper.
50:04It's not
50:04about that.
50:05It's talking
50:05about the
50:06antichrist
50:07is going to
50:08make a
50:08covenant for
50:09one week.
50:10We know
50:10that.
50:12I'm running
50:12out of time.
50:15And he
50:15tried to say
50:15the next
50:16point is that
50:17nowhere in the
50:17passage does it
50:18say that
50:18antichrist
50:19confirming for
50:20one covenant.
50:21We've got a
50:21book of
50:22revelation that
50:22talks about
50:23that.
50:23We've got the
50:24book of 1st and
50:242nd Thessalonians
50:25talks about
50:26making a
50:27covenant that
50:28he's going to
50:28call himself
50:29above God.
50:30Why would
50:30they have that
50:31in the book of
50:31Thessalonians
50:32which was
50:32after this
50:33after the
50:34temple was
50:34destroyed?
50:36It doesn't
50:36make sense.
50:38The other
50:40thing he said
50:41was that only
50:42Jesus can make
50:43a covenant.
50:43Only God
50:44can.
50:44Go to
50:45Joshua 24.
50:49Now if you
50:49look at the
50:50word covenant
50:50in the Bible
50:51there's a lot
50:52of words
50:53throughout the
50:54Old Testament
50:54especially.
50:55the Ark of
50:56the Covenant
50:56but he was
50:58trying to say
50:59that only
50:59God makes
51:00covenants
51:01and that
51:01is true.
51:03You know
51:03when he
51:03destroyed the
51:04earth
51:04he said
51:05I'm making
51:06a covenant
51:06with a
51:06rainbow
51:07saying I'll
51:07never destroy
51:08the earth
51:08with a flood.
51:10Constantly
51:10he kept
51:10telling Abraham
51:11this is my
51:11covenant
51:12between you
51:12and me.
51:13They made
51:13Moses
51:16he would do
51:16things and
51:17it would be
51:17a covenant
51:18between him
51:18and God.
51:19Constantly
51:19he told them
51:20the covenant
51:20was made
51:21and they
51:22were going
51:22to bring
51:23him out
51:23of Egypt.
51:24We know
51:24that.
51:25But the
51:26man was
51:26flat out
51:27saying that
51:28only people
51:29only God
51:30made covenant
51:31with people.
51:32Wrong.
51:33Let me show
51:33you just
51:34three examples
51:34I found.
51:35Joshua 24
51:3625.
51:3924
51:39verse 25.
51:40So Joshua
51:43made a covenant
51:44with the
51:45people that
51:46day and
51:46set them a
51:47statute and
51:48ordinance and
51:48check them.
51:49So Joshua's
51:50a man and
51:51he's making a
51:51covenant with
51:52the people
51:52that came out
51:53with him.
51:54We know that
51:54Moses led
51:55them and
51:55then Joshua.
51:56So that's
51:56one example.
51:58Keep going
51:58in your Bible
51:59to 1 Samuel
52:00to the judges
52:02Ruth and
52:03then 1 Samuel
52:04chapter 11.
52:06So there's
52:07Joshua.
52:08He's making
52:08a covenant
52:09with the people.
52:10A promise.
52:10That's what it
52:11is.
52:12Look at
52:13Samuel 11.
52:141 Samuel 11
52:15verse 1.
52:16Then Nahash
52:17the Ammonite.
52:18That don't
52:18sound like a
52:18very godly
52:19man.
52:20Came up
52:20and encamped
52:21against
52:21Gabesh
52:23Gilead
52:24and the
52:24men of
52:25Jabesh
52:27said unto
52:28Nahash
52:29make a
52:31covenant
52:31with us
52:31and we
52:32will serve
52:32thee.
52:32So these
52:33are two
52:33men.
52:34Neither
52:34one of
52:34them are
52:35God.
52:36They're
52:36making a
52:36covenant
52:36between
52:37each
52:37other.
52:38And Nahash
52:38the Ammonite
52:39answered
52:40them on
52:40this
52:41condition
52:41will I
52:41make a
52:42covenant
52:42with you
52:42that I
52:43may
52:43thrust out
52:44all your
52:44right eyes
52:45and lay
52:45it for
52:46reproach
52:47upon Israel.
52:48So he's
52:48saying the
52:48only way we'll
52:49make this
52:49agreement is if
52:50I take out
52:51your right
52:51eyes.
52:52That don't
52:52sound like
52:53a covenant
52:53anybody wants
52:54to make.
52:55Go to
52:551 Samuel
52:5618.
52:56Again
52:57not God
52:58making a
52:58covenant.
53:00Look at
53:011 Samuel
53:0118 verse
53:021.
53:04And it
53:05came to
53:05pass when
53:06he had
53:06made an
53:07end of
53:07speaking
53:08unto
53:08Saul
53:09that the
53:10soul of
53:11Jonathan
53:11was knitted
53:12with the
53:12soul of
53:13David and
53:13Jonathan
53:14loved him
53:14as his
53:15own soul.
53:16And Saul
53:17took him
53:17that day
53:18and would
53:18let him
53:19go no
53:19more
53:20home to
53:21his
53:21father's
53:22house.
53:22Now
53:27something I
53:31watched on
53:31television one
53:32time was
53:32talking about
53:33David and
53:34Jonathan being
53:35homos and
53:35this is a
53:36verse.
53:36Folks that's
53:36not what
53:37this is
53:37talking about.
53:38There's
53:38people who
53:38love.
53:39We should
53:39love our
53:40brothers in
53:40Christ.
53:41Jonathan
53:41and David
53:42are good
53:42friends but
53:43what did
53:44they do?
53:44They made
53:44a covenant.
53:45They made
53:45an agreement
53:46to each
53:46other.
53:47If you
53:47remember the
53:47whole story
53:48that
53:49David tells
53:50Jonathan
53:50I'm sorry
53:51Jonathan
53:51tells David
53:52that I'm
53:53going to
53:53be hiding
53:55and when
53:56Saul
53:56his daddy
53:58Saul was
53:58trying to
53:59kill him
53:59that he
54:00would try
54:00to show
54:01him to
54:01get away.
54:02Jonathan
54:03and David
54:03are really
54:04good friends.
54:05That's why
54:05they're not
54:05homos.
54:06Folks let's
54:06not make
54:07the word
54:07of God
54:08into something
54:08weird.
54:09Obviously
54:09this guy
54:10was a Jew
54:11too.
54:11But again
54:12this is a
54:12covenant
54:12and an
54:13agreement.
54:14If you
54:14have a
54:15car payment
54:16or a
54:16house payment
54:17guess what
54:17you have a
54:18covenant
54:18with the
54:18bank to
54:19say that
54:19you're going
54:20to pay
54:20for that.
54:20So that's
54:21just silly
54:21for that
54:22man to
54:22say that
54:22that doesn't
54:23make any
54:23sense.
54:24We see
54:24three examples
54:25God makes
54:26covenants
54:27we see that
54:27the ark of
54:28the covenant
54:28all these
54:29things but
54:30folks there's
54:31covenants in
54:31the Bible
54:32throughout.
54:34And then
54:35go back to
54:36Daniel 9.
54:37So there's
54:37the last
54:37week that's
54:38remaining
54:39and we
54:41know that
54:41what's going
54:42to happen
54:42that Jesus
54:44Christ is
54:45going to
54:45come in
54:45the clouds
54:46sometime in
54:47the midst
54:48but we
54:48know
54:48also
54:49Daniel
54:50talked about
54:51the
54:51abomination
54:51desolation
54:52some of
54:53that had
54:53already
54:53happened
54:53but then
54:54we know
54:55that there's
54:55another one
54:56go to
54:572 Thessalonians
54:592
54:59and he kept
55:02saying all
55:02the stuff's
55:03happened
55:03it's in the
55:03past
55:04it's in the
55:04past
55:04that's what a
55:05preterist or
55:05historist is
55:06they want to
55:07tell you that
55:08everything's already
55:08happened
55:09and I will
55:09tell you that
55:10a lot of the
55:10stuff in the
55:11Old Testament
55:11has already
55:12happened
55:12some of the
55:13stuff we see
55:14has already
55:14happened
55:15but there's
55:17a triple
55:17prophecy
55:18in the
55:20book of
55:20Daniel
55:20that they
55:21don't
55:21understand
55:222 Thessalonians
55:272
55:28we've gone
55:28over this
55:29before
55:29keep going
55:32over it
55:32myself
55:32passing
55:33it
55:34you know
55:36that there's
55:36a prophecy
55:37that says
55:38now we
55:40beseech you
55:40brethren
55:41by the
55:42coming of
55:42our Lord
55:43Jesus Christ
55:43so what they
55:44don't understand
55:45is
55:45Jesus
55:46hadn't
55:46come
55:47when this
55:47was written
55:48he'd already
55:48come the
55:49first time
55:49but it's
55:50not the
55:50second time
55:51so there's
55:53still stuff
55:54to happen
55:54I mean
55:55unless these
55:55people will
55:56say that
55:56Jesus came
55:56the second
55:57time
55:57and that's
55:58that's
55:59blasphemy
55:59because our
56:01bodies are
56:01still
56:01then you're
56:02denying about
56:03the resurrection
56:03if you say
56:04that Jesus
56:04Christ is
56:05already coming
56:05to clouds
56:06then you're
56:07denying the
56:07resurrection
56:08of Christ
56:08which is
56:09what they
56:09talked about
56:10and we're
56:10going to talk
56:11about that
56:11in 1st
56:12Corinthians
56:15to him
56:15so when
56:16Jesus
56:16Christ
56:16comes in
56:17the clouds
56:17we're
56:18going to be
56:18gathered
56:18together
56:19all the
56:19saved
56:20that you
56:20shall not
56:21be soon
56:21shaken
56:22in mind
56:22or be
56:23troubled
56:23neither by
56:23spirit
56:24nor by
56:24word
56:25nor by
56:25letters
56:25as from
56:26us
56:27that the
56:27day of
56:27Christ
56:28is at
56:28hand
56:28so he
56:29said
56:29don't
56:29let
56:30anybody
56:30tell
56:30you
56:30that
56:31is
56:31happening
56:31at
56:31any
56:31time
56:32let
56:33no
56:33man
56:33deceive
56:33you
56:34by
56:34any
56:34man
56:35means
56:35for that
56:36day
56:36shall not
56:37come
56:37except the
56:38first come
56:38of falling
56:39away
56:39first
56:39and the
56:40man of
56:41sin be
56:41revealed
56:42the son
56:42of
56:42perdition
56:43that's
56:43the antichrist
56:44he's telling
56:45you these
56:45things are
56:45going to
56:46happen
56:46in this
56:46order
56:47who
56:48supposes
56:48all
56:49and exalt
56:49himself
56:50above
56:50all that
56:51is called
56:51God
56:52and that
56:52is
56:52worship
56:53so he
56:54that is
56:54as
56:55God
56:56sits
56:58himself
56:59that
56:59he
56:59is
56:59God
57:00so
57:00there
57:00was
57:00an
57:00abomination
57:01and desolation
57:02but there's
57:03going to be
57:03another one
57:04this is the
57:06antichrist
57:06remember you
57:07not when I
57:07was with
57:08you
57:08I yet
57:09told
57:09these
57:09things
57:09so what
57:10would
57:10Paul
57:10be
57:11telling
57:11them
57:11when
57:11it's
57:11already
57:12happened
57:12because
57:14it's
57:14not
57:14happened
57:14there's
57:15a triple
57:16prophecy
57:16there's
57:17a first
57:18prophecy
57:18of
57:19168
57:21BC
57:21where
57:22Antiochus
57:23Epiphanes
57:23he put
57:24up
57:25an abomination
57:27or a
57:27statue of
57:28Zeus
57:28in the
57:29temple
57:29after it
57:30was
57:30rebuilt
57:30that
57:32happened
57:32but then
57:34there's
57:34a second
57:35one
57:37where
57:37the temple
57:38was destroyed
57:39it was
57:39desolated
57:40now there's
57:41going to be
57:41a third
57:41one
57:41when the
57:42antichrist
57:42comes
57:43he's going
57:43to make
57:44a confirmation
57:44with many
57:45for one
57:46week
57:46not just
57:47the Jews
57:48you hear
57:48people say
57:49oh it's
57:49just the
57:49Jews
57:49it's not
57:50the Jews
57:50who knows
57:52who knows
57:53who it's
57:53with
57:54but it's
57:54with many
57:54people
57:55it could
57:55be many
57:55people
57:55many groups
57:56whatever
57:57and then
57:58there's
57:59going to
57:59be
58:00if you
58:00read
58:01and we
58:01don't have
58:02time to
58:02go
58:02we run
58:02out of
58:03time
58:03but in
58:03revelation
58:0413
58:04what happens
58:06you've got
58:06the antichrist
58:08and you've got
58:09the false
58:09prophet
58:10he makes
58:10an image
58:11unto the
58:11beast
58:12and he
58:12sets it
58:13up
58:13where it
58:13ought not
58:14to be
58:14in the
58:15temple
58:15of God
58:16that's
58:18that's
58:18what this
58:18is
58:18talking
58:18about
58:19triple
58:20prophecy
58:21and now
58:21you know
58:22that
58:22with
58:22hold of
58:22thee
58:22might
58:23reveal
58:23in
58:23this
58:23time
58:23for the
58:24mystery
58:24of
58:24iniquity
58:25doth
58:25already
58:25work
58:26only he
58:27who now
58:27letteth
58:28will
58:29let
58:30he be
58:30taken
58:31out of
58:31the way
58:31and then
58:32shall
58:32that
58:32wicked
58:33be
58:33revealed
58:34from
58:34whom
58:34the
58:34Lord
58:34shall
58:35consume
58:35with
