A man believed to be involved in the kidnapping of a teenage girl, was killed following a shootout with the police in Klang early Monday (April 14) morning.

The 16-year-victim was kidnapped in Seremban but released after the ransom was paid.

00:09According to Bukit Aman Deputy Crime Investigation Department Director Deputy Commissioner Datuk
00:15Fadil Marsus, a CID team located the suspect at a location in Klang.
00:22A car chase ensued to Jalan Bayu Tinggi.
00:25The suspect refused to stop the car and even rammed his car against the police and fired
00:31shots.
00:32The CID team managed to block the suspect's car before returning fire and killing the
00:37suspect.
00:38The dramatic confrontation follows the kidnapping of a 16-year-old girl in Seremban last Thursday.
00:45The teenager was abducted around 5.45pm on April 10.
00:50The kidnappers initially demanded a 2 million ringgit ransom, but the family was able to
00:55secure the girl's release after paying 280,000 ringgit and some jewellery.
01:01She was released in Sendayan at approximately 8.30pm the following day.
01:07Police confirmed the suspect was driving the same car used to drop off the victim after
01:11her release.
01:13Inside the vehicle, authorities discovered a pistol and a machete.
