16:58so those two are just on the edge of the top ten battling for ninth position
17:01I think they'll have lost a few positions so this is getting quite difficult in the midfield in MX2
17:05a few riders dropping out of contention in this one
17:07so Adamo looking to keep the trouble behind him as he continues in the lead
17:12Kai DeWolf still charging he's in fourth place trying to catch up with Lengenfelder the gap is around 2.7 seconds between those riders
17:19we chase Kai DeWolf
17:20you really get a sense of how difficult this course is getting now
17:24some really gnarly ruts on some of the corners especially the inside lines
17:27but DeWolf silky smooth as he picks his way through
17:31and you have to say that with Jeffrey Hurlings coming towards the end of his career
17:36is Kai DeWolf the new Dutch hope in world motocross well he's won the MX2 world title
17:42as Benestart flies over the jump in this MX2 moto number two
17:47Benestart running strongly in second place
17:542.1 seconds down on the leader Adamo
17:56so at the moment despite that difficult showing in moto number one he is sitting on fourth overall
18:03he would be relying on riders dropping points as Lotte van Drunen concedes the line to him
18:08and she's running just outside of the top 20 she's in 28th right now just behind Oscar Briggs the Danish rider
18:15Adamo charges away
18:18so they've lapped van Drunen so they are starting to pick their way through some of the tailenders in this MX2 moto number two
18:25and Adamo increasing his gap now to 3.5 seconds
18:29Langenfelder a bit further behind the order just starting to settle down at this stage in moto number two
18:34with just over 12 minutes plus the two laps remaining
18:37Adamo knows that he's got the race under control at this stage
18:41he's running a nice pace lapping in the 1.48 at this time
18:44Benestart incidentally with the fastest lap of the race last time round
18:48so he is keeping pace with the leader
18:50just breaking away slightly from Langenfelder in third
18:54so Benestart who stays in seventh place in the world rankings
19:01he was just overtaken briefly by McLellan
19:04after the moto win for McLellan in moto number one
19:08so this would put Benestart back into sixth position
19:13possibly might even get past Koenig in the rankings
19:15all very close around that fifth place rankings in the MX2 series thus far
19:20and there you can see Benestart win the fastest lap of the race last time round
19:23he's certainly not giving this one up
19:25the gap just over three seconds between first and second place
19:29they are starting to pick their way through some of the tail enders
19:31so might give Benestart a bit of encouragement as he continues after the Italian
19:36Adamo will certainly be keen to try and control this race from the front though
19:41they are really starting to pull away a bit now
19:43there's Kai de Wulf still there in fourth place looking down the road there
19:49there you can see Langenfelder just going through the left-hander back up the hill
19:52and at the moment Langenfelder consolidating that third place quite nicely from de Wulf
19:58who is still charging
19:59now well clear of Karlsvalk in fifth place
20:01looking for Koenig in seventh position
20:03Berukio Zanki actually picking through the field quite nicely
20:06he's moved up to eighth place after a disappointing start
20:09as Benestart goes down the inside of another lapper
20:13he's going to really pick their way through the tail enders right now
20:18Kaede Wulf still trying to close up on Langenfelder
20:26just looking a little bit further down
20:28Cam McClellan I believe is now up to 21st position
20:31so he's just behind the number 489
20:33Jens Valvoort the Dutchman on the BTS Racing KTM
20:37so McClellan determined to try and claw back some points
20:41after that disappointing where Langenfelder is going through now
20:44actually that little jump out of the corner
20:46really went down big style earlier on in the moto
20:50De Wulf still charging
20:51Adamo leading by 4.3 seconds
20:55MX2 moto number two here at Trentino
21:04and Andrea Adamo still leading the way
21:07by four seconds from Thibault Benestart
21:09but at the moment
21:10Kaede Wulf has found some good pace here
21:14over the last half lap or so
21:16and is really starting to close up on the 27 of Simon Langenfelder
21:19on the Red Bull factory KTM
21:22De Wulf down the inside
21:23he's been quick through this part of the lap throughout the moto
21:27Langenfelder blocking the line though
21:31as is his right and forces De Wulf to see struggle for speed out of the corner there
21:38because his line was sacrificed by Langenfelder getting in the way
21:41Langenfelder knows he's there
21:44all really tight for the podium here certainly no room for any error
21:48just to recap of course the two of the main championship contenders hitting trouble in this race
21:53Liam Evitz crashing out on the first lap
21:55sustaining damage to the bike which has put him out of the moto
21:58collided with his teammate De Wulf on the second corner
22:02and Cam McClellan the first moto winner he crashed heavily
22:06and is now back into 20th place
22:09so he's still continuing the fight back through the field
22:12Adamo leading comfortably at the moment from Benestart
22:16just doing enough to keep him under control
22:17you can see De Wulf now
22:18just trying to search for those lines
22:21now he switched to the outside line
22:22just trying to find somewhere to continue to close up
22:25on Simon Langenfelder number 27
22:29running well in that third place
22:32Aaron switching to the inside line
22:36many years of course on the gas gas machine now with the
22:41he had a good running to the KTMs in MX2
22:44he switches of course to the orange brand you would say
22:47and he makes his way through
22:50Sillian's battle of the third place closing up on the back marker
22:54Blue flags go up
22:58and he should concede his line to them as they make their way through
23:01so Langenfelder number 27 holds onto that position
23:05as he looks to maintain that position
23:09keep himself on the podium here
23:10looking good for him so far
23:11he was a disappointing seventh in moto number one
23:13rails the berm on the outside
23:16De Wulf struggling to get the pace out of the corner there
23:21because Langenfelder had the preferential line
23:23and Langenfelder again doing very well much like De Wulf
23:27getting a nice line out of that second corner
23:29to be able to carry the pace over there
23:39certainly he has been a very consistent rider
23:41the number 27 he was third in MX2 for the last three seasons
23:47so he'll be looking to try and go a little bit better
23:51he's third at the moment of course
23:54Andrew Adama though looking good
23:57front of the field maintaining up 3.8 second advantage at the front
24:00crucially here that Beniston in second place
24:03is certainly keeping that pressure on in second position
24:07Beniston who has had real injury worries over the last couple of seasons
24:10really has hampered his progress but starting to show some of the pace
24:13that has earmarked him out as a champion in the reckoning
24:17one of the latest generation of French riders you would say
24:21since the really since the early 1990s
24:24there's been a constant supply of French riders coming through the youth system in France
24:30all the way back to the likes of Yves Demarier and Sebastian Tortelli in the 90s
24:35all the way through until now there's a constant number of French riders coming through
24:42Beniston another one to look out for as he makes his way
24:47after Adamlo still got 3.7 seconds
24:50the Wolf still in fourth position but struggling to get any momentum to get past Lengenfelder in third
24:55who's positioning that KTM quite nicely
24:57let's have a look as they make their way around the second corner
25:00this is where the line choice is very important
25:03both railing the outside line
25:05you'd need that power on the smaller 250s to carry the momentum over the jump
25:09which they both do with ease
25:13Lengenfelder just pulling a second or so away from the Wolf
25:16Wolf still in fifth position
25:17Olivier in sixth
25:18Kernan still in seventh
25:19not really able to close up on the Spaniard at the moment
25:21Zanke up to eighth position now as he gets past Elzinga
25:25and it's the factory Yamahas in ninth and tenth
25:28three Yamahas in the top ten
25:29Elzinga ninth
25:30Reiselis in tenth
25:31David Rassadas in eleventh position
25:32growing twelfth position
25:34looking a little bit further down
25:36you can see Michela on the Italian TM
25:38so a good result for the Italian brand on their home circuit
25:43MTM really burst onto the motocross scene in the 1990s
25:48they've been away from Grand Prix motocross for a few seasons
25:51but starting to really make a factory effort this year especially in the MX2 class
25:56and Julius running well in the points though
25:59so far
26:00McClellan is in 19th position
26:02he just got past Philip Olsen
26:04closing up on Samuel Nielsen
26:06so still the salvage operation continuing here for Cam McClellan
26:12the South African had a nasty tumble earlier in the moto
26:15looking to claw those points back
26:18he's just got to keep going here because you never know
26:20there's still a bit of time to go in this race
26:22four and a half minutes plus the two laps remaining
26:26and there's still every chance that the riders ahead of him could hit trouble
26:29so there's still a long way to go here
26:31he's still got to keep on going
26:32he's just got to try and get those points back as best he can
26:34I'm sure that Adamo will not look to give that lead up lightly
26:37the rider going into the pits there
26:39don't believe it's one of the front runners
26:41still Kyder Wolf chasing after Simon Langenfelder
26:48both riders forced to the inside line there as the slow rider occupies the outside line
26:53that's Jens Valvoort just outside of the points
26:58both riders being able to clear the jump though
27:00through the right-hander and back down the hill
27:03Langenfelder holding on to that third position quite nicely at this stage
27:06still Kasvalk from Oliver Koenern
27:08Zanke in eighth place
27:09Alzinga Rieslis pretty much as you were from the previous lap
27:16and all getting very tight and very technical as they make their way back down into the left-hander
27:21one of the slower parts of the circuit here back up the hill
27:28Kyder Wolf ten Grand Prix victories to his name coming into this round
27:33he's won two of the four rounds so far this season
27:36and still fighting to try and get this one added to his tally
27:43but he will have to get past Langenfelder to stand any chance of grabbing the overall
27:47and with Benestart in between the two it's all looking very good for Andrea Adamo at this stage
27:51the Wolf not giving this one up
27:57Langenfelder really
28:00excellent line choices there on the KTM to stay ahead in that third position
28:06DeWolf
28:07can't really find any answer to this at the moment
28:10he's been looking for some smoother lines out there in the final part of the moto
28:16they're all running very closely indeed in that third and fourth position
28:19well clear of Kasvalk in fifth
28:21you see DeWolf now switching to the insides on some of the corners there
28:25of course he'll lose a little bit of power on the exit of the corner
28:27but those inside lines do seem to be working for him
28:31and he has closed just a few tenths on Langenfelder in third
28:34here they come past the pit area once again
28:36under the foxhole shot banner into the right-hander
28:39Langenfelder guards the inside line this could be DeWolf's moments here as he rails the berm on the outside
28:43not quite close enough to go for the pass just yet
28:47oh he has to bail out of the jump there
28:50calls the pass off but switches immediately to the inside
28:54so he's close enough to fight for position here DeWolf
28:57but he's looking for some smoother lines out of the corners better traction
29:02as the moto goes on some of the racing lines will deteriorate they'll get rough they'll be struggling for traction
29:07so if DeWolf can find some good lines through here he could yet close the gap
29:16DeWolf of course the reigning champion
29:1820 years old and originating from a very famous motocross town in the Netherlands
29:25Volkansvoord
29:26site of one of the legendary motocross Grand Prix venues
29:30so growing up in that part of the world he would say he's very adept in the sand
29:34very adept in the sand but it's a bit of a cliche to say that the Dutch and the Belgians are just good sand riders
29:40we see many many riders nowadays who are really good all-rounders
29:44they always used to say the Italians are only good on hard pack circuits
29:47but then remember Tony Cairoli really threw that one out of the window
29:52raced in Belgium for a long time throughout his racing career
29:55and was as good or better in the sand than anyone really during the imperial phase of his racing career you would say
30:05as they make their way through one of the slow riders holds the inside line waves them through that's the 338 Philippe Olsen
30:11so he continues on his way Olsen the Swedish rider on the KTM currently in 20th position
30:18they may well be closing up on Cam McClellan very soon
30:21although McClellan is a little bit further down the road
30:24coming up to the closing stages of MX2 Moto number 2
30:27Adamo still leading the way but Bilbo Benestan is closing up in 2nd place
30:32we're focusing on this very close battle for 3rd place as Kai de Wulff again
30:37trying to find a way to get past Lengenfelder who's doing a great job of holding on to the 3rd position
30:41making life very difficult for de Wulff
30:42you can see him constantly changing the lines looking for smoother ways around to get past the German
30:49keep an eye on the timing screen on the top left hand side there Adamo still leading
30:53but the gap ebbing and flowing around 2 seconds between him and Bilbo Benestan who has closed the gap slightly
30:59so Adamo leading the gap remaining around 2.2 seconds
31:06McClellan up to 17th incidentally getting past Samuel Nielsen
31:09Spaniard and the fellow triumph rider
31:11here we go back to the leader and as you can see Benestan is closing up
31:16and visually you can see that's a lot less than 2 seconds now
31:19the gap under 1 second
31:22and with 3 laps to go Benestan can sniff a victory here
31:26let's have a look I think there was a mistake from Adamo
31:28the back end just stepping out on the berm nothing too serious
31:31but when you're chasing in 2nd place you see the leader make those mistakes
31:34it just adds to the encouragement encouraging you to press on
31:38keep that pressure
31:40and listen in the background the Italians urging on their home contender here
31:47he's having to work really hard here Benestan
31:52really good comeback for the Frenchman here after a difficult couple of seasons
31:59still he could say potentially an outsider for the world title
32:02he'll maybe be relying on riders dropping points for him to catch up
32:06with the leading group in the MX2 title race
32:08but he's still handily placed and he'll be looking to string together some good results
32:12as we head towards the tail end of this first half of the season
32:16we're at the quarter point here at Trentino
32:20and still the victory potentially under dispute here as Adamo
32:24he's sitting on the overall at this stage
32:26he'll be very pleased about that of course in his home country
32:32he took the European Grand Prix win at Saint Jean d'Angeli in France
32:37just a few weeks ago
32:39third overall last weekend at Sardinia so his results are improving
32:43oh he got stuck on the berm there on the outside
32:45lost a little bit of ground to Benestan
32:47two laps to go here
32:49Benestan oh has a look on the inside
32:53and the Yamaha rider
32:56is sniffing out a victory here
32:59people Benestan
33:03yet to win in 2025
33:05he was second in the second moto at Saint Jean d'Angeli a few weeks ago
33:12Benestan looking good
33:14oh as Adamo squeezes around the outside of the TM
33:17that's the number 744 Sard Sulemani
33:20one of the two TMs
33:27in this MX2 line-up
33:32tense moments here with two laps to go
33:34as Deepa Benestan goes down the inside of Lotte van Drunen
33:39laps van Drunen she is just outside of the points
33:42currently in 27th
33:44as he looks on the inside
33:45Adamo holding the racing line
33:47forcing Benestan to look for some smoother lines
33:49to try and find a way through
33:51going to the outside lines
33:52trying to use that momentum to get through
33:53again he goes around the outside
33:54oh and Adamo
33:56sees him coming
33:57squares the turn nicely
34:01but the final lap of the race here
34:02and it's wide open
34:04the Italians getting behind Adamo
34:05as Benestan goes to the inside
34:07and makes the move stick
34:09brilliant move there from Vivo Benestan
34:10to block past Andrew Adamo
34:13and gets the line to clear the jump
34:15which will give him around half a second advantage
34:17Adamo quickly looking over the shoulder
34:20let's have a look at that again
34:21so you see Benestan
34:23sticking it down the inside
34:25and very quickly moving to the outside line
34:27to block past Adamo
34:29preventing him of course from clearing that jump
34:31just halting his momentum somewhat there
34:34and a brilliant move from Vivo Benestan
34:37will that be enough to get him on the podium?
34:41I think it's going to be tight here
34:43but Adamo should still take the overall victory
34:45even if he's only in second in this moto
34:51so I think a bit of disappointment possibly for Adamo
34:53not to get this second moto victory
34:55if things stay as they are on the final half lap
34:57but this should be more than enough of course
34:59to give him the overall Langenfeld
35:01still holding on to that third place
35:03what a brilliant ride here
35:05from the young Frenchman
35:06Divo Benestan
35:09after those difficult few seasons
35:11starting to come back
35:12and claim his first moto victory of 2025
35:17if he can just bring it home on the final few corners
35:20we don't want to speak too soon
35:21because we've seen this Trentino circuit claim a few riders this weekend already
35:25and still the battle raging for third place
35:27Langenfelder just about doing enough
35:28to hold on to that third place from DeWolf
35:31who looks like he's going to finish in fourth position
35:33as they make their way down the final few corners
35:35down the hill for the final time
35:36for Benestan
35:39through the left hand of the chainstall
35:41still there
35:43sounding in the background
35:44as Benestan takes the chequered flag
35:45Adamo over the line in second
35:46but punches the air
35:47because he knows that is enough
35:49to give him the overall result
35:51at his home circuit
35:53and really stake his claim
35:57as a title contender in 2025
36:00Theo Benestan
36:01the winner
36:02of the second moto
36:03but Andrew Adamo
36:04will take the overall victory
36:06in MX2
36:07Langenfelder third
36:08DeWolf in fourth
36:09looks like he's going to be
36:10Kaz Valk in fifth position
36:15let's have a look at that move again
36:17you see Adamo
36:19really heavily into the outside line
36:21just lost the momentum into the corner
36:22but nonetheless
36:23that was a brilliant move from Benestan
36:24to get down the inside
36:25and make the move stick
36:28but it doesn't look like Adamo
36:29is overly disappointed
36:31not to take the moto victory
36:32surely will be of course
36:33but crucially he takes the grand prix victory
36:36so Andrew Adamo
36:37winner here at Trentino
36:39and that will be
36:46fourth grand prix win
36:48of his career
36:49he took two moto
36:50two grand prix victories in 2023
36:52en route to his title victory
36:54failed to win last year
36:56as he finished sixth in the championship
36:58as he finished sixth in the championship
37:00and 2025 his second grand prix victory of the season
37:04the 21 year old
37:05from Sassi in Italy
37:07gives his appreciation
37:09and his thanks to the Tiffosi
37:11on the bank
37:13and somebody is going to get a
37:15nice pair of goggles
37:16nice pair of goggles
37:17to add to the collection there
37:19so Andrew Adamo
37:21your winner
37:23of the grand prix
37:25of Pietro Morata
37:26here at Trentino
37:27fabulous race for the young Italian
37:29as he takes his fourth career grand prix victory
37:32and as we were saying of course
37:34really staking his claim
37:36as a potential title candidate
37:38to regain that MN2
37:40MX2 title
37:41in 2025
37:43really sets things up nicely
37:44for the rest of the season
37:45there's Cam McClellan
37:46over the line
37:47he'll be disappointed
37:48but at least he's okay
37:50that's important
37:51with Andrew Adamo
37:52your grand prix winner
37:59so the rest of the top 20

38:28where he only finished 12th
38:30and that moto victory
38:32will be very important indeed
38:33but crucially
38:35to remember of course
38:36Liam Everett
38:37one of the key
38:38title contenders
38:39just 10 points behind
38:41in the title race
38:42going into this moto
38:43failing to finish
38:44he crashed out
38:45picked up some bike damage
38:46on the second corner
38:48which put him
38:49out of contention
38:50could that be a factor
38:52as we move to the final
38:53few rounds of the championship
38:55later in the season
38:56still a long way to go
38:57of course
38:58but it's moments like that
39:00that can be crucial
39:02in a title race
39:03but certainly
39:04none of that will be
39:05bothering
39:06Andrea Adamo
39:07to second place
39:08well third in the first moto
