00:00The Panthers, and I'm a little surprised at this, especially now that we know that they're going to have to do it, you know, really without having home ice in the first couple rounds at minimum, they are still the favorites in the East, plus 340 for the Panthers, followed by the Hurricanes, Lightning, Capitals, Leafs, and then you get an enormous gap to the Devils, Sens, Canadians.
00:22So there's clearly those five at the top is who the books think is going to be in the Stanley Cup final.
00:28Yeah, look, it's just brutal to, I try to guess, is basically what you're doing here.
00:37I don't think the Panthers are repeating a Stanley Cup jam, so I'm going to dive off at that.
00:44I think they've had two great runs, and I think it ends here.
00:47And then, so obviously, I think the Lightning are live.
00:50I think the Capitals are very live, and my outsider, frankly, would be the Leafs.
00:58And I would put them on the outside looking in based on their failures over the years.
01:04They always choke.
01:06They always lose.
01:08I mean, it's just, since 1967, it's inevitable that they're going to choke.
01:12But I think they're a really good team, and I do not believe any of those.
01:17I'm not buying the Hurricanes, and I'm not buying anybody else, the Devils, Senators.
01:22It's not happening.
01:23So it's in that window.
01:26It's a short window for me.
01:27And if it's not Florida, Tampa's got to beat them, right?
01:31So then they would be alive, and then I think that they would have a shot.
01:35So I think, you know, Tampa and the Capitals and the Leafs, for me, have the best shots.
01:44As far as the Western Conference goes, really the same.
01:46You've got about five teams bunched at the top, and then it separates a little bit.
01:51Stars are the favorite, plus 340.
01:54You know, it's weird.
01:54The Stars are the favorites to win the West.
01:57They are a small dog to Colorado in the first round.
02:01So figure that out in the series price that I saw today.
02:04How is that possible?
02:04They're going to win it all, but they can't win their first series.
02:07Good luck with that.
02:08I like the abs over them already.
02:10And then, you know, I think Vegas is in play for me and the Jets.
02:16I think they're really good teams with, you know, deep teams.
02:20And the Jets, for me, deep and with a great goalie.
02:25And look, I think that obviously the Jets and Vegas are going to get it.
02:29You'd like to think a little bit of an advantage here.
02:31Now, no disrespect to St. Louis and Minnesota, but, you know, Dallas and Colorado is going to be a war.
02:38Edmonton and L.A. is going to be a war.
02:40I don't think that Winnipeg and Vegas are going to have the same type of issues in the first round as those other series.
02:47But look at the respect that Kings get.
02:48They get none.
02:50And meanwhile, everyone that we talk to, and I guarantee you, Elvis Dennis Bernstein thinks that Kings are going to beat the Oilers.
02:57The Oilers, to me, remember I said all year from the beginning that they would go win the Stanley Cup after losing it to the Panthers, that they would go get it done.
03:08My problem with them, Mike, is they've not lived up to that type of style.
03:13They're not, to me, they're not good enough.
03:15Like, they have not played good enough hockey to win the Stanley Cup.
03:20You can do, it's optically, it's, all you have to do is watch them.
03:23They don't look like the same team that was in the final, do they?
03:27No, they do not look like the same team that was in the final.
03:31That's for sure.
03:32I told you yesterday, and I'm going to stay with it.
03:34You are who you are.
03:35I think L.A. is going to beat Edmonton this year.
03:39I do.
03:39I think that they're finally going to get them in the first round and move on.
