During a town hall on Wednesday, Rep. Mark DeSaulnier (D-CA) was asked if he would travel to El Salvador to demand the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia after the Trump Administration admitted he was wrongfully deported.

00:00Great. Next question is from William.
00:03Will you travel to El Salvador to press for the return of Kilimar Abrego Garcia to the U.S.?
00:08If not, what else will you do to ensure the Constitution is followed for all those who were sent to the Seesaw Prison from the U.S.?
00:15Yes.
00:22Yes. When I saw that Senator Van Hollen was going, Chris Van Hollen is from Maryland, a wonderful member.
00:29He's a friend. He used to serve in the House.
00:31He went, I think he's in there, down there now, but he hasn't got access to talk to Mr. Garcia.
00:37So I think there should be more of us going down there and saying, you want us to appropriate funds for your government?
00:44Then there are conditions on that.
00:46And one of them is, there is someone who is in this country who is illegally brought to this country.
00:51The Supreme Court has said he should come back.
00:53You can't say you're not interested in doing it and still get us to appropriate funds to help your government or to help your country.
