00:41Tempe police say around 11 Saturday morning a 71 year old retired school teacher was going on a walk
00:47when 30 year old Kevin Caballero attacked her this was a horrific incident police say the suspect
00:53shoved her to the ground held her down and attempted to sexually assault her the most shocking thing the fact
00:59that it was still so many people around and it still happened Justin Herron and Murray Rogers were
01:05nearby heard her screams and took action yanked them off and then I told him to sit down
01:11he just sat down and waited and I told him to wait until the cops go Rogers a Phoenix resident
01:16also helped detained the suspect it was terrifying to witness the 71 year old who lives with her daughter
01:24in Tempe had minor injuries but were told she's getting help to deal with the trauma from the attack
01:30I just want to wish her all the best we love her we're therefore we're always praying and thinking about her and I just wish her the best for sure
01:39Tempe police awarded the two men with a service award these two individuals stepped forward and really truly saved her life
01:46both called heroes for stepping up they told us they don't feel like heroes but they're thankful for the recognition
01:53they said they were just doing what they hope anyone else would have done just help someone in need
