La primera ministra italiana y el presidente de Estados Unidos mostraron este jueves su confianza en llegar a un acuerdo comercial, pero sin presentar avances concretos al respecto. Meloni, que visitaba este jueves la Casa Blanca, tiene una buena sintonía ideológica y personal con Trump y, en ese sentido, se la considera un posible puente entre las dos partes. La primera ministra ha invitado a Trump a visitar Italia y quiere que ese viaje sirva también para que el presidente de Estados Unidos se reúna con las autoridades europeas. Meloni le regaló una frase con su objetivo, que emula el lema trumpista por antonomasia: “Hacer que Occidente sea grande de nuevo”.
