00:00I mean, it was a very joyful night.
00:02I mean, the Lightning in Game 5 put the Carolina Hurricanes to sleep,
00:09and the Lightning won Round 2,
00:12and now the Lightning progressed to the semifinals,
00:15either playing the Bruins or the Islanders.
00:18So what happened at your house with the Lightning and the police?
00:22We celebrated. We were inside the house.
00:25It was my husband, my friend, and I, and, you know, they won.
00:28We were screaming, cheering, you know, the clappers that they give you at the games.
00:34I had one of those go in, and we were just celebrating.
00:38And then afterwards, my girlfriend outside went on the front porch,
00:41and we were talking, and I see a cop car roll by and stop down on the corner.
00:47I'm like, well, you know, I'm in St. Pete. It's not a big deal.
00:51And then I see another one, another one, where there ended up being four of them.
00:56I'm like, I looked at her, I'm like, ooh, something's going on.
00:58I wonder if we should go in.
01:01And we're like, nah, whatever.
01:02So I went in to use the restroom real quick, come back out,
01:05and as I'm coming back out, three of the officers are walking up my walkway.
01:10And they're like, hey, how long have you been out here?
01:13We got reports of a woman screaming.
01:15We both had our jerseys on.
01:24So you guys were screaming inside the house,
01:30and some neighbor thought that something really bad was going.
01:34You're screaming about the lightning wind,
01:37and some neighbor calls the police thinking something nefarious is going on with women screaming.
01:43Yes, yes.
01:44Or the clapper noise, or the combination of the screaming and the clapper noise.
01:49Yeah, it was funny.
01:51And we all just kind of, it all kind of connected.
01:53We all kind of looked at each other.
01:54They saw our jerseys.
01:56I'm like, well, the lightning just won.
01:58It might have been us.
02:00And everybody started cracking up laughing.
02:03So the neighbor was concerned,
02:05or was the neighbor mad that they weren't invited to your lightning watch party?
02:09I don't know, and I don't know, because my one neighbor,
02:11she knows that we celebrate and watch the game.
02:14In fact, she goes, oh, I was just outside.
02:15I heard you screaming that they must have scored.
02:18I'm like, yeah.
02:19And that was like the first score.
02:22And I'm thinking, I don't, the neighbors on the other side were watching the game too.
02:26So I put on my post, hashtag must have been the new neighbors.
02:30Now, did any of your screams sound like a woman in distress, a damsel in distress?
02:40There was no damsels in distress.
02:42No, it was definitely celebration.
02:44No, no, no.
02:44What I'm saying is, is there a check?
02:46Can you give us an example of the scream?
02:48Can you go ahead and recreate maybe what one of the screams might have sounded like?
02:55It was like, woo-hoo, woo-hoo!
02:59We did a study about this.
03:01You can't tell the difference between distress and excitement.
03:03I mean, seriously, from a distance, from 50 yards away, she could be getting stabbed.
03:08And then the clapper noise and the thumping.
03:10Maybe someone thought that a woman was getting beaten by some kind of domestic violence.
03:16All right, Fessy, you do the clapping.
03:17Give me the screaming again.
03:19Go ahead.
03:20Ready?
03:20Woo-hoo!
03:21Woo-hoo!
03:21I mean, here come the cops from a distance.
03:30That's great.
03:31So three St. Pete police officers showed up.
03:35Four.
03:35Four.
03:36Three came to my door.
03:37Three came to my door.
03:38That's great.
03:40No, it's, and how many minutes did it take to, like, sort things out that they realized that everything was okay?
03:46Not even, not even five minutes.
03:48Because, you know what, they have to make sure that the woman is not, like, covering up.
03:54Because there are domestic violence issues where the cops show up and then the woman tries to cover, oh, no, everything's okay.
04:01Because a lot of times women can be in fear and they try to then cover it up.
04:06I love him.
04:07Oh, please don't take him away.
04:10I love him.
04:11I love him.
04:12Oh, my honey.
04:12I see.
04:13I'll bury you out of it.
04:14And meanwhile, the woman needs to get as far away from that loser jackass guy as possible.
04:20He's proposing.
04:20I do.
04:21I do.
04:22All right.
04:22Great story.
04:23I'm glad you're okay.
04:24I'm glad you were able to celebrate.
