00:00I think that's more the question.
00:02I always looked at parents that had their kids on kid leashes as like psychos.
00:07Yeah, I would see them usually at an amusement park.
00:10Exactly.
00:10And you'd be like, oh, they can't control their kid.
00:13What's wrong with their kid?
00:15That was pre-having kids.
00:16Now I have kids.
00:17I'm a little less judgmental.
00:18You know, this is a good question.
00:20You know, Coop, let's grab some phones on this.
00:23Folks that are listening, is it acceptable to use the kid leash?
00:27Well, Fester's on Google searching for leash.
00:31Kid leash technology has come a long way.
00:34Leash.
00:34You know what?
00:35Just get the invisible fence and put a collar on your kid like the dog.
00:40That's what you ought to do.
00:41Get the invisible fence.
00:42Yay!
00:46So while Fester looks up at Google's kid leash, let's grab some calls.
00:52Folks, what do you think about kid leashes?
00:54And am I wrong?
00:55Why does it seem that kid leashes have kind of disappeared?
00:59I don't see them as much.
01:00All right.
01:00800-990-1047.
01:02Let's grab a couple of calls here.
01:04800-990-1047.
01:07Number one, are you still seeing the kid leashes where the kid is on a leash and, you know,
01:14the parent's like five, six, eight feet behind?
01:17Are you still seeing it?
01:18And do you think it's acceptable?
01:20Can I tell why I'm asking?
01:22Yeah.
01:22Let me give out the number one more time, 800-990-1047.
01:26That's the number to call, 800-990-1047.
01:31So give us a buzz regarding the kid leashes, two questions, acceptable, yes or no, and why
01:37does it seem like they disappeared?
01:39I don't see them anymore.
01:40I used to see them all the time.
01:42And I would scoff.
01:43I'm like, oh my God, look at the phones.
01:45The kid leashes phones are exploding here.
01:48Asking for a friend.
01:50No, I'm just kidding.
01:50My first daughter was great.
01:53Now my second daughter, Daviana, she's a maniac.
01:56And I've taken her, I took her to a pool over the weekend.
01:59She's won and changed and she just gets down and runs everywhere.
02:03Like I'm chasing her towards the pool to keep her from getting in there.
02:06And I'm picturing us, I have her in a stroller when she's at theme parks, but she does love
02:10to run and walk, but I can't, I mean, I can keep up with her, but I'm running the whole
02:14time.
02:14Hey, Fessa, look up Google toddler straight jacket.
02:20Let's grab some, look at the phones on this.
02:23Every line is jammed.
02:25Maggie's in Tampa.
02:26What line is Maggie on?
02:27Is Maggie on six?
02:28Yes.
02:29Maggie, you're on the MJ Morning Show on Q105.
02:31Hi, Maggie.
02:33First off, so glad you're back.
02:34We missed you so much.
02:37Please spread the word that the MJ Morning Show is back.
02:39When did you find out we were back?
02:42I drive my kid to school every morning and I usually listen to Mason Dixon and I noticed
02:48you guys were back in like October, which I was so excited about.
02:51Fantastic.
02:52Thank you very much.
02:53I appreciate it.
02:54All right.
02:54The kid leashes.
02:55What advice do you have for rocks?
02:58Well, I saw a bunch of them at Disney like a month ago and there's even ones now that
03:03are retractable, which is actually pretty comical because it's usually for dogs.
03:07Yeah, really?
03:08You know what?
03:08I wonder, you know, Maggie, I wonder if the fact that my kids are older now, and that's
03:14a very good point you made, that you see these a lot at the amusement parks and since
03:19I haven't been to theme parks in quite some time because the kids are older, that that's
03:24where I would see them.
03:25I haven't been there, so I haven't seen them.
03:27Maybe that's why.
03:28Yeah, and you know, there's a lot of, I have a special needs child, so they tend to kind
03:34of run off without, you know, any, any like, um, trying to think.
03:40They just run off.
03:41Yeah, I understand.
03:42Maggie, so do you have a kid leash?
03:43So, it's good to have those leashes.
03:45All right, so you, do you have one?
03:47Yeah.
03:47All right.
03:48Maggie, thanks for the call and I appreciate you listening.
03:51Thanks, Maggie.
03:51Let's grab Allison in Palm Harbor.
03:53Allison, you're on the MJ Morning Show Kiddie Leash Line.
03:56Hi.
03:57Hi, good morning.
03:59What do you think about kid leashes, yes or no?
04:02Absolutely not.
04:03I think they're embarrassing and despicable.
04:06If you need to kill your child, why would you put it on a leash?
04:09It's not an animal.
04:11Allison, thank you, Allison.
04:13I love Allison.
04:14Getting right to the point.
04:15Right to the point.
04:16Let's grab Danielle in Plant City.
04:19Danielle, MJ Morning Show.
04:20Good morning.
04:21Good morning.
04:22It is a pleasure to be speaking with you.
04:24It is a pleasure to be speaking with you.
04:26Kid leashes, acceptable or not?
04:29I'm with Roxanne.
04:30Before I had kids, I was totally against it.
04:33I thought it was cruel and unusual.
04:35And then I had kids.
04:36And my daughter is a flight risk.
04:38The moment she's seen me, like an exit, she is gone.
04:43I love it.
04:43My daughter's a flight risk.
04:45Like a fugitive.
04:47Like the judge is not granting the kid bond because the kid's a flight risk.
04:53Yes.
04:54I spent 25 minutes looking for her in Walmart and she was hiding in the clothes.
04:59I mean, we had security looking at everything.
05:02And ever since then, I have put her on one.
05:04She's a very beautiful girl.
05:06And with Tampa being so high risk with like the human trafficking and stuff, I'm like, I just can't take the risk.
05:11100%.
05:11Daniel, thanks for the call.
05:13Ashley's in Brandon.
05:14Ashley, kid leashes, yes or no?
05:17Yes.
05:18All right.
05:18Yeah, look at that.
05:19And why do you think kid leashes are okay?
05:22So I have four kids.
05:25Three of them are older, but the youngest is four.
05:28But when she was two and three, we'd go to amusement parks.
05:31And she never wanted to hold my hand.
05:33And I didn't want to just let her run around in a crowd of people.
05:37You can't see them.
05:39All right.
05:39So that's another good application, I guess.
05:41But still, I always look down on these things.
05:42One more.
05:43Lonnie's in Seminole.
05:44Lonnie says, former law enforcement.
05:46Hi, Lonnie.
05:47You're on the MJ Morning Show.
05:49Hi, MJ.
05:49Good morning.
05:50Would you like to weigh in on kid leashes?
05:52Yes, I would love to.
05:54So 25 years in law enforcement, I can't tell you how many times we spent looking for lost children
06:01when a cute little backpack with a leash on it would have saved hours of stress on a parent.
06:08All right.
06:09So you're for the kid leashes then.
06:11Thank you, Lonnie.
06:12Listen, what a load of great calls there.
