00:00Because, ladies and gentlemen, this is the launch, this is the debut of the MJ Morning Reflection.
00:09And I think this is going to be a daily feature here on the show.
00:13Are you good enough? Smart enough?
00:16Well, the reason why I'm talking about the MJ Daily Reflection, and folks, you might want to emulate this,
00:20you might want to take a cue and pick up on this, and I think this is going to improve me as a person,
00:26as a broadcaster, as a communicator, as a husband, as a father.
00:30As a friend? As an auto mechanic?
00:35Yeah, your auto mechanic skills are kind of bunk.
00:38I saw this new study, and it happens to be right out of here in Florida.
00:42It's nice.
00:45And now it's time for MJ's Daily Reflection.
00:56I'm so relaxed.
00:58I'm waiting for Fester to massage me.
01:00Don't do that.
01:01You're going to be waiting a while.
01:03All right, here it is.
01:05A new University of Florida, I'm not going to talk like this, but a new University of Florida study
01:11says that if you take some time and have a moment of reflection every morning,
01:20it can make you a better person, a better leader.
01:24And what am I here on the MJ Morning Show?
01:29A better person?
01:31No, what do I do?
01:32What's my role?
01:33What's my title?
01:34You're humble.
01:34Oh, your title.
01:35Yes.
01:36King annoyer?
01:37Yeah, the guy that talks the most?
01:39I'm the host.
01:40Oh, I'm the leader.
01:41I'm the lead guy on the MJ Morning Show.
01:45I think Fester is.
01:47Okay.
01:47No, I'm the funniest guy.
01:48Listen to this.
01:49New study finds that the only person you really need to have a conversation with is yourself.
01:57Researchers from the University of Florida say a quick morning reflection can boost performance at work.
02:05And I'm always looking to boost performance here at work.
02:09Because frankly, some days I just suck bad.
02:14It's as simple as taking a few moments in the morning while you're drinking your coffee to reflect on who you want to be as a leader.
02:22Yeah, this is from doctoral student Remy Jennings.
02:26Oh, Remy, we all do this.
02:29And UF management professor Claudiana Lennage, they studied participants and they learned how this step of having this reflection, it affected workplace performance.
02:43Results show employees taking time for morning reflection were more likely to help coworkers and provide strategic vision.
02:51Therefore, it's the MJ Morning Reflection.
02:57So I can be a better leader of the MJ Morning Show.
03:01Because I want to make an impact.
03:03You know, some of the questions.
03:04I'm going to stop this music.
03:05I want to punch myself.
03:07Please, keep it going then.
03:07All right, some of the, some of the University of Florida research team, some of the questions that they recommend.
03:17He's literally hitting himself.
03:18All right, take it off.
03:19He's going to hurt himself.
03:21All right, Coop, stop the music.
03:23All right.
03:23We don't have to do that, right?
03:26Just you.
03:27It's over.
03:28It's time.
03:28Thank the music, stop.
03:30Thank you, Froggy.
03:30The University of Florida research team, they recommend asking yourself a few helpful questions.
03:35Like, what are your proudest moments in leadership?
03:38I would have to say, ultimately being the overseer and being responsible for the festered turkey fryer fire.
03:48That's your proudest moment?
03:52That was a big deal.
03:53Man, at the time we skirted felony arson charges was my proudest moment.
03:57It didn't come close to that.
03:59It wasn't it.
