00:00Are you buckled up? 544 Q105 with Mason and the gang. You better be. That's part of the three things you need to know to get through your so happiest Tuesday with Roxanne. Morning, girl. Good morning, Mason. That's right. You better buckle up because law enforcement is cracking down across the state. You're going to see this campaign started yesterday. Click it or ticket through June 2nd. Of course, that time frame is from now until Memorial Day after Memorial Day. So we know a lot of travelers on the road and it's an opportunity for people to remember to have
00:29your seatbelt buckled or you're going to get pulled over. You're going to have that extra law enforcement out there. And speaking of that travel season that is coming just in time for that, I noticed about a 5 to 10 percent, not 10 percent, but 10 cent a gallon drop in gas prices this morning. That means they have to raise it next week for the 3-day weekend. That's what will happen. You got to go down before you can go up, right? So get your gas, make sure you're buckled up. I actually saw a quote in this story that said seatbelts save lives. Who doesn't know that? Unless you just came here from Mars or whatever.
00:59Or a place that doesn't have cars. It is amazing how many people don't buckle up when they drive. Yes. So if you're new to the area from another planet, now's the time between now and June 2nd, get in that habit of putting that seatbelt on. The Tampa Bay Lightning has handed out more than 100,000 street hockey sticks and balls, all kinds of gear. And they've visited schools. They want young fans to embrace this sport. So now they're getting ready to build 10 outdoor rinks by June 2020. Wow.
01:29And here's the cool thing. The Lightning will put in $100,000 for each of the rinks to be built. Wow. So then we won't always look at the rosters, the NHL rosters and go, that guy's from Canada, that guy's from Canada. Maybe we'll see somebody from the Tampa Bay area. Yeah. Now that would be nice because let me tell you, the Tampa Bay area loves the Lightning to be sure. And this is a great way to get the kids more involved in it. Right. So it's hard to find good pawns to skate on around here. True. Yeah.
01:59What are stores closing? But guess what? Oh no. There's a generation that's giving malls a fighting chance, making malls sexy again. Gen Z. When you look at a recent three month span, 95% of Gen Zers hit the mall compared to 75% of millennials, 58% of Gen Xers. So Gen Zers like in-person shopping because they like the legitimacy of a place you can go. And they also like to touch and feel. I have my own theory. Gen Zers just got their licenses not that long ago. So they're still enjoying that freedom. Let them get
02:29older and lazy like me. And then they'll be doing the online shopping. I hope they'll keep the malls and the big stores open.
