Under construction bridge collapses due to severe weather in J&K’s Rajouri

Rajouri (J&K), April 18, 2025 (ANI): An under construction steel bridge in Nowshera Sub Division, which is about 65 km from Rajouri Head Quarter, collapsed due to severe weather conditions. The steel plant bridge was estimated cost of 592.58 lakh rupees and it was 132 meters long. The collapse occurred during a heavy wind storm and thundering, when 15-16 workers had taken a break, fortunately avoiding any loss of life. The construction of the bridge was started in 2014-15 but due to funding issues, it was resumed after 12-year. The bridge was constructed to connect two border blocks -Nowshera Block and Seri Block.
