00:00Hello Pep, nice to see you again.
00:04If I can start with just a couple of injury updates please.
00:07We saw Edison go off against Crystal Palace.
00:11How is he?
00:12Not ready for tomorrow.
00:14Is it likely to be a longer term thing do you think?
00:17No.
00:19For that game it's not ready.
00:21Okay.
00:23Erling Haaland posted some news.
00:26Not ready neither.
00:26Is he likely to be back?
00:29I think he was jogging in the video that he posted.
00:32Have you got a date when he might come back yet?
00:35Next games we'll not be ready.
00:37Okay.
00:38If I can ask you then about tomorrow's trip to Goodison Park.
00:42It's Manchester City's 100th and final trip to Goodison Park as well.
00:47Your record other than that very first game that you were there for has been pretty much perfect.
00:52So what are your memories and thoughts of Goodison Park starting with that first trip there to, as I say, your excellent record subsequently?
01:00Goodison Park is so special.
01:02Like all traditional stadiums here in England from, I don't know, so when you go to Fulham or Villa Park and stadiums like that you feel the atmosphere is special.
01:14So, but the clubs grow and I'm pretty sure the new stadium will be nicer in terms of being more maybe comfortable.
01:28And, yeah, it's a nice place to go.
01:30Difficult one, of course, but nice place to go.
01:32And as I say, just finally for me, other than that first one, eight wins out of eight trips that you've got there, what difference do you think that David Moyes being there now may make for tomorrow's visit?
01:45The result to speak itself.
01:46I think Sean Dyke make an incredible job as well.
01:50And don't forget how Sean took over the club.
01:53The team in that moment was in a difficult position and avoided relegation.
01:58But the impact from David to his experience and making an incredible job in was a harmless one.
02:04I think all his career.
02:06But he has done an unbelievable job in terms of results.
02:09So clear.
02:10The patterns are so clear, but it's so difficult to handle it.
02:14And, yeah, it's an important week for us.
02:18Hi, Pep.
02:19As someone who's been involved all your career, basically, as a coach in the back end of the Champions League,
02:25what has it been like this week, previous weeks, when the Champions League matches are happening
02:31and they're getting to the really important stage and you're not involved?
02:35Do you just, do you watch them and watch them as a, I don't know, as an observer, as a manager?
02:41Or do you just think, it doesn't involve me, so I'm not paying any attention?
02:47No, I enjoy the games.
02:48Have been a really, really nice games.
02:49So, Tuesday in Villa Park was a fantastic game.
02:54I think in Dortmund as well against Barcelona.
02:56I've been a good, good games.
02:59Enjoy it.
03:00Miss it, of course.
03:01But, like I said, I'm a person like, I don't complain much what the life gives it to me in a good moment,
03:09especially not in the bad moments, because it's a sport.
03:12Sometimes you don't perform well.
03:14You don't deserve to be.
03:16It's just, OK, hopefully next season we can be there and, you know, deal with the big, big clubs in Europe.
03:22I can challenge them better than we have done this season.
03:26Challenge them what we have done in the last seven years.
03:29Like every season we were there.
03:31Even when we were out, always we competed really well.
03:33So, yeah, I take it in that way.
03:36Does it make you, I mean, this is a big week for City, Everton away, it's a tough game, Villa,
03:42it's a tough game and then the semi-final.
03:43Does it give you any extra motivation or do you not need any more motivation to get back into that competition and win something?
03:53Of course it is.
03:54Of course it is motivation.
03:55Yeah, you're right.
03:56Of course it is.
03:58So, I think that it's not a bad thing to fight for to qualify for the Champions League.
04:04Could be in a very, very lower position in the Premier League if you have done a few good things that we have done in this four or five months.
04:17People say, no, we are four now, it could be 11 or 12 or 13 or 14.
04:24I don't have any doubts of that.
04:26So, I take it like, okay, I've not been good, but it's in our hands.
04:31And, of course, Woodison Park and Villa, it's massively important because it's just six games, not have much time.
04:37I know that our qualification pass already had, you know, we know the games we have here and take one or two games away and we'll have a first opportunity tomorrow in Liverpool.
04:49Pep, that victory last week over Crystal Palace was an emphatic victory.
04:54Do you think that's the sort of performance that sends a statement to the rest of those top five challenges that you're back to your best?
05:01The statement is for us, not for the other ones.
05:05Was it back to your best?
05:07I said this season we're not going to get best, but we're good.
05:12So, now, of course, after Crystal Palace was a fit in a tough place like in Newcastle, but before I came here,
05:18it just looked around that they were doing.
05:21So, I have the same opinion that Crystal Palace is one manager top team like here in these seven years.
05:28Maybe it was the team that took more points here in Etihad Stadium.
05:32We behaved really well considering we got 2-0 down.
05:35And we make our positional game was much, much better.
05:39Are you enjoying this top five challenge?
05:42We are, but are you?
05:43Yeah.
05:48Yes?
05:49Yeah, enjoying, yeah.
05:52Hi, Pep.
05:53I was just wondering if you have to provide an update on Phil Foden and Emmanuel Lacanje.
05:57Is he back in training now?
05:59Is that right?
05:59Yeah, they came back.
06:00Yeah, they came back, Phil, just Thursday.
06:02And today, with the second training session, since the action from Old Trafford and Manu, yeah?
06:10We make two or three start training sessions with us.
06:13And I see him moving really well.
06:17I guess it will take a while for Emmanuel to be back available.
06:22We'll see today.
06:23We'll see today.
06:24And also, I just wondered if you could provide an update on John Stones and Nathan Ake.
06:28Not yet.
06:28Where they are.
06:29They're getting better, but not yet.
06:33I'm back off at 10.30 this evening.
06:34Somewhere to start, please.
