Two weeks after Christmas, Cassie and Wesley posted a video of Callum playing the drums on social media, not thinking much of it. But as time went on, they watched him progress, teaching himself to play with his right hand over his left, using proper form, and even keeping up with the beat of the music.

00:00I remember your first thought you were like oh there goes my drum set like it's no longer
00:07absolutely it's set up it's where he can play it and I hardly touched it at all my name is Cassie
00:14I'm 30 I grew up singing and now I own a singing studio in California and I'm a stay-at-home mom
00:20with Callum and I kind of managed the studio from home Wes is the instrument guy I've been
00:25playing music for as long as I can remember and just became like a music producer and that's
00:30actually how we met is that I ended up producing her music 12 years ago a decade later and here's
00:37Callum yeah I just got with the drums for Christmas actually and then we put Callum up there just for
00:46fun we're like oh he's he was just like one and two months at the time he's not gonna do anything
00:52and he literally immediately was like do do do do we were like what Lord yeah people keep saying
00:59on Instagram like he's been here before this is not his first life and it's just wild because yeah
01:04it's it's an it's innate in him like he knows what to do picking up his arms at two days old and going
01:09like do doch like air drum with them just to nearly and just made him excited and then of course he
01:17would just like bang on little toys and stuff we got him this little toy drum but then as soon as we
01:21set up that electronic kit in December yeah we knew our music journey like that's how we met it's
01:30through music and now we have this baby and clearly he has the music in it so it's just like a full
01:35circle moment it's so cool yeah and we never thought that cool I don't know sharing it would make this
01:40big of an impact like it's I love watching other people experience like his gift and his talent yeah
01:47never thought it one one and a half years old though we're like letting him leave the way so
01:51if he runs to the room and wants to play drums then we'll play drums but at the end of the day he's
01:56still a toddler so he sits up there for a few minutes and then he's like oh I want to do something else so
02:00then we get down it's really not serious like when we sit down and really think and talk about it we're
02:09like oh my gosh this is our one-year-old baby like he was just spitting out his green beans a second ago
02:13and everybody's like watching him go viral on the internet with drumming it's just wild it would be
02:19really fun for him to stay in the lane of music but we're just on the Callum train so we're following
02:24him supporting him in everything he does he'll be exposed to it regardless all music will be there
02:30because music's in our lives and it always will be and if he chooses to grab on and go for it we're
02:35we're with him all the way
