00:00Shabos, you're rolling your eyes. What would you like to respond?
00:03Well, first of all, I would never tell an African-American what is or isn't racism because I'm not black.
00:07But I appreciate that my co-panelist feels the courage to tell a Jewish person what is or isn't anti-Semitism.
00:12Nevertheless, though, I will make two concrete points.
00:15This bizarre and sudden focus and fascination on free speech is pretty ludicrous.
00:19Considering three years ago, Harvard University was ranked by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expressions as to how well it preserved free speech and the First Amendment.
00:27It was ranked 248th out of 248 American universities.
00:31And I don't recall being invited by Arab Al Arabiya to talk about dissent on free speech.
00:35It's only when anti-Semitism is involved. All of a sudden do we start caring about free speech in the First Amendment.
00:40Harvard is an institution that routinely disinvites controversial speakers who are deemed allegedly to be transphobic, misogynistic or racist.
00:48This is a university that fired its own president for suggesting that pay disparities between men and women can probably be explained by the fact that women go into less paying professions.
00:57This is an institution that unenrolled 12 students who were posting sexist memes in a private WhatsApp group.
01:02All of this was happening for years and no one really talked about it.
01:05It was only when Jewish students said that we want to be treated equally under the law, all of a sudden did universities wake up and say,
01:10oh, well, we just can't because we have to preserve free speech.
01:13It's a ludicrous argument. No one takes it seriously.
01:15Again, Harvard was ranked out of a given a zero, 0.0 by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expressions.
01:21They have no track record of protecting free speech.
01:27And when the einenen
01:41of the Lost Amendment push, I would say,
01:44if you have aet of a museum, you cannot
