00:00They told you that Saddam had chemical weapons, that Gaddafi was a madman, that Assad gassed his
00:07people. Now they're telling you that Iran is nuking up. Well, they didn't tell you that Saddam
00:13was dumping the dollar, that Gaddafi dreamt of a gold-backed pan-African dinner, that Assad
00:21switched to budgeting in euros, and that Iran? We've got Hezbollah being funded by Iran.
00:29Correct. Correct. We have Hamas being funded by Iran. Correct. We have the Houthis being
00:34funded by Iran. Correct. Correct. We've got all the militias in Iraq. And we now have dead
00:40Americans. Because of the money being going back to Iran. Correct. All roads go back to Iran.
00:46Well, not quite. All roads lead through Iran. Since ancient times, Persia has been a nexus
00:54of transport and trade. Slaves and spices, jewels and jade, gunpowder and gold. The Silk Road
01:02was a bridge between East and West. And Iran, Iran was the gateway. As then, so now. And just
01:11as there were bandits in the first century, there are bandits in the 21st century too. But instead
01:17of swords, they wield sanctions. And that has been the catalyst for Iran's renaissance, for
01:24it's morphing into a linchpin of the new world order. And one of its pillars, the international
01:30north-south transport corridor. Over 7,000 kilometers long. Ship, road, rail, the Indian Ocean, linking
01:39to the Persian Gulf, the Caspian Sea, Russia, and on to Western Europe. Eurasia is embarking
01:46on a whole new voyage. And world trade is being remapped.
01:53As soon as this project is implemented, then accordingly, we will have a route and the
01:57possibility of deliveries, both in transit to Europe and deliveries from Russia to Russia
02:02to the Persian Gulf. In fact, this is a global change in transport and logistics routes.
02:08And this project may become an alternative to the Suez Canal.
02:1240% shorter and 30% cheaper than that. Man-made waterway through it. More than a trillion dollars
02:19in goods transit annually. And the first stop, the port at Banda Abbas. Then the train north
02:27to Bafk. Then on to Tehran. And then anywhere. And you know what you won't spot on the way?
02:34A NATO patrol boat, a U.S. aircraft carrier, an RAF spy plane. This route lies beyond Western control,
02:44geographical and financial.
02:48When finished, the new link is expected to be completed in 2028. The resulting north-south
02:54transport corridor will stretch unbroken for more than 4,300 miles out of reach of Western sanctions.
03:00It charts a course away from those waters dominated by the transatlantic alliance. It allows for
03:08settlement in national currencies. It strengthens the Russia-Iran-India triangle. It further integrates
03:16the five Caspian states. It gives Moscow a greater foothold in both the Persian Gulf and the Indian
03:24ocean. And it marks a new era. For so long, Russia looked west, traded west, bet on the west.
03:32And 24,000 sanctions later, you could say that the gamble didn't pay off. Except wasn't it actually
03:39a clean sweep? Because the west has waned. And other stars have risen and will stay high precisely
03:46because of projects like these.
03:51BRICS countries are a driving force of worldwide economic growth. In the foreseeable future, BRICS
03:58alone will contribute the bulk of the global GDP increment. Our association is building upon relevant
04:05development platforms, including communication channels, technological and educational standards,
04:11financial systems, payment tools and, of course, mechanisms for sustainable and long-term investment.
04:18As a result, the impact of external influence on the economic growth of BRICS members will diminish steadily.
04:26Essentially, this is what economic sovereignty is all about. It amounts to a partnership between
04:32self-sufficient economies that expands their potential many times over and opens up new opportunities.
04:39You see, diminishing external influence. The US neutering Iran isn't about nukes.
04:47It is about ensuring external influence. Install a friendly face in Tehran, a Shah 2.0,
04:54and you curb Russia geopolitically and economically. You fracture Global South for interconnectivity.
05:02And you guarantee that no drop of oil, no grain of wheat, no container of cargo anywhere in the world can sail without fear.
05:14The US taking on Iran is about taking back control. The thing Washington is most desperate not to lose.
05:22And when you're desperate, you'll do almost anything.
05:26Well, they can't have a nuclear weapon.
05:27Did you mean military action, though, if they don't agree?
05:30Oh, if necessary? Absolutely. Yeah.
05:34Again, with these nuclear weapons, all we want is a deal.
05:38All Tehran has to do is renounce its world-ending ambitions.
05:42Even though, less than a month ago, US intel agencies unanimously agreed.
05:48Tehran doesn't actually have any.
05:52We continue to assess Iran is not building a nuclear weapon,
05:56and that Khamenei has not reauthorized the nuclear weapons program he suspended in 2003,
06:01though pressure has probably built on him to do so.
06:04So why this obsession? And why is it actually that every time a Washington hawk talks Iran, they also talk black gold?
06:15We have to constrain their cash. We have to constrain their oil.
06:18We have to go back to maximum pressure.
06:20The Iranian oil trade and the regime's massive profits from it must be shut down immediately.
06:26The United States is taking a decisive action against anyone involved in facilitating Iran's oil sales at any stage of the supply chain.
06:35Do you want to block the sale of Iranian oil to other nations?
06:39Well, we have the right to do that, and that's what I did before.
06:42We can, again, as I like to say, make Iran poor again.
06:48Then at the same time, they have our domestic producers push that up with the highest energy standards in the world.
06:57Iran's making exponentially more money on selling that oil that we're allowing because we've walked away from maximum pressure.
07:05Iran's total hydrocarbon reserves, so oil and gas, amount to 1.2 trillion barrels.
07:13But you can see 70% of that is still untapped, and they are still discovering more.
07:19But they can't do it alone.
07:21Now, Tehran and Moscow have just ratified a 20-year energy alliance.
07:27Two vast gas fields, Kish and North Pars, will be developed, as well as six more oil fields.
07:33Pipelines will be built. LNG terminals, too.
07:36With annual exports of 55 billion cubic meters on the cards, which Iran can then sell on to whomever it wants, it will no longer be an isolated pariah.
07:48It will be a middleman, running point on the distribution of some of the most in-demand resources in this world.
07:57The ones that literally keep economies well-oiled.
08:01Iran will be a hub.
08:04Iran has the most reliable, safest, and most economical transit or swap route for crude oil, natural gas, and petrochemical products to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the Indian subcontinent in the east, and Turkiye and Iraq in the west, and to the international markets of the Persian Gulf countries.
08:22And are they going to be trading in the greenback?
08:25Well, I doubt it.
08:26Iran currently sells around 90% of its oil to China, and it gets paid in renminbi.
08:3396% of Iranian-Russian trade happens in either the ruble or the rial.
08:39And around a fifth of global oil trade now happens without a single dollar bill swapping hands.
08:46Now, two giants are pooling resources and tapping the untapped.
08:52And you don't think that will shift the balance of power in the global market?
08:58You don't think the US is terrified about losing the authority to dictate whom energy is sold to and on what terms?
09:07We all saw the terror around Nord Stream 2.
09:11This is the same threat, but bigger.
09:15And it's bigger because of the precedent it could set.
09:18If they can do this with oil and gas, then why not wheat?
09:22Why not coal or minerals?
09:24It's got it all.
09:25And is finding yet more.
09:28A whole other platform for commodities trading is being sketched out right now.
09:33And Iran is a key architect of it.
09:37But it's not the only one.
09:38And here, here is where we get to what all this is actually about.
09:43And it ain't Iran.
09:44Remember what I showed you at the start, Mike Waltz?
09:47Well, I wasn't totally honest with you.
09:49I might have edited it a little.
09:51Because I wanted you to see the small picture before I showed you the big picture.
10:01All roads go back to Iran.
10:03But really, it's Chinese money that is fueling Iran, that is fueling terrorism.
10:11You see, the Islamic Republic is a bit of a jewel for the People's Republic.
10:16And in part, that is because of location, location, location.
10:22To its north, the Caucasus.
10:24To its east, Central Asia.
10:26To its south and west, the Middle East.
10:29It sits at the crossroads to everywhere.
10:31So little wonder it's a part of the Belt and Road family.
10:35Iran lies along the Southern Corridor, which runs from Xinjiang through seven Central Asian countries to the Persian Gulf.
10:45It is the safest and shortest land corridor for Chinese goods to reach Europe.
10:51And it opens the door for Beijing politically and economically.
10:56In fact, Iran is facilitating Biden's worst nightmare.
11:02Let me state clearly that the United States is going to remain an active, engaged partner in the Middle East.
11:09We will not walk away and leave a vacuum to be filled by China, Russia or Iran.
11:16But this isn't just about enhancing Beijing's clout in the Middle East at a time when U.S. credibility is at an all time low.
11:24China's meteoric rise is thanks to what?
11:27Industrialization.
11:28Its industrialization is thanks to what?
11:31Energy.
11:32What kind of energy?
11:33Old school fossil fuel energy.
11:37Since the 90s, more than 50% of China's oil imports have come from the Arabian Peninsula.
11:44But there's a catch.
11:46The majority of oil producing nations that are close allies of America, an increasingly hostile and belligerent America.
11:56To the Chinese Communist Party, you either change or there will be consequences coming from the Trump administration and the Congress.
12:07It's time for us to go on the offensive and abandon illusions about what kind of adversary we face.
12:14This is not a managed competition.
12:15This is a competition we must win.
12:18China has too much influence over the Panama Canal and America is going to take it back.
12:22I say and what I've learned and what I've seen in my long career is China understands only one thing.
12:29The stick.
12:31Give them the stick.
12:33We don't want you buying our land.
12:35We don't want you taking the land and basically taking it off the market.
12:39We don't want you doing it.
12:40And they're buying at levels that nobody's ever seen before.
12:43We don't want you buying.
12:44It's very easy to do.
12:45That's a very easy thing to do.
12:46But it's causing a lot of disruption and that's what they want to do.
12:50If we don't change course, we are going to live in a world where much of what matters to us on a daily basis from our security to our health will be dependent on whether the Chinese allow us to have it or not.
13:00That's an unacceptable outcome.
13:02So wouldn't you look to a nation with the lowest risk?
13:06To a nation which shares some of your misgivings about Washington?
13:11To a nation which you already cooperate with in BRICS and the SCO?
13:17One which is the second largest owner of gas reserves.
13:21The third largest owner of oil reserves.
13:24And the one which controls the Strait of Hormuz.
13:28The most important oil transit choke point in the world.
13:33The one who understands that your energy security is your economic survival.
13:38I think you would.
13:40China and Iran are not necessarily allies, but they are strategic partners.
13:46Theirs is a perfect marriage of geopolitical imperative and economic necessity.
13:53So, no, long story short, it's not about Iran.
13:57And next time Lindsey Graham comes out saying something like this.
14:02Hit Iran.
14:03They have oil fields out in the open.
14:05They have the Revolutionary Guard headquarters you can see from space.
14:09Blow it off the map.
14:11Understand that what he's actually saying is take China out.
14:16Cut off its oil.
14:18Cut off its markets.
14:19Cut off its partners, its logistics, current supplies, long term investments.
14:24Cut it all off.
14:25Lay siege to the nation in our rear view mirror.
14:29And do everything to make sure it never overtakes us.
14:33Because that's what this is.
14:35Fundamentally.
14:36Nothing more than a refusal to accept that someone is coming for your crown.
14:42And we've been here before.
14:44In the late 60s, the US was in trouble.
14:47Inflation was high.
14:49Unemployment was higher.
14:50And for the first time since 1893, it was running trade deficits.
14:56So what did it do?
14:58Tariffs.
14:5910% tariffs.
15:01This import tax is a temporary action.
15:04It isn't directed against any other country.
15:07It's an action to make certain that American products will not be at a disadvantage because
15:13of unfair exchange rates.
15:16When the unfair treatment is ended, the import tax will end as well.
15:21Except it was against another country.
15:24Two countries, to be exact.
15:26West Germany and Japan.
15:28Japan.
15:29Why?
15:30Because they dared recover from the war.
15:33And even become competitors.
15:35In textiles and electronics.
15:38Iron and steel.
15:40Suddenly, the US was losing market share.
15:43So it did what it does best.
15:46My view is that the foreigners are out to screw us.
15:49And therefore, it's our job to screw them first.
15:53A decade later, deja vu.
15:56Japan was booming.
15:59The second largest economy in the world.
16:02And again, alarm bells rang on the hill.
16:05Doomsday predictions of an economic Pearl Harbor.
16:09And all the usual accusations followed.
16:12Unfair trade practices.
16:14Stealing US intellectual property.
16:17Sound familiar?
16:18In fact, here's a blast from the past.
16:20The fact is that the world is ripping off this country.
16:23Germany is ripping us off big leagues.
16:25Saudi Arabia is ripping us off big leagues.
16:27France.
16:28I mean, they're the worst team player I've ever seen in my life.
16:30You look at what's happened.
16:31Japan for years.
16:32I mean, we're like a whipping post for Japan.
16:34I think that you have to be treated fairly by other countries.
16:37If other countries aren't going to treat you fairly, Larry,
16:39I think that those countries should be, they should suffer the consequences.
16:42Which is then what happened.
16:45Japan had a cap on how many cars it could ship stateside.
16:49A tariff was put on its motorcycles to protect Harley Davidson.
16:54It caved and devalued the dollar to the Japanese yen.
16:58An absolute boon for the US.
17:01But that still wasn't enough.
17:04Reagan then put 100% tariffs on hundreds of millions of dollars worth of goods.
17:10And what happened?
17:12Well, boom to bust.
17:16The yen increased in value.
17:18So Japanese products became expensive.
17:20People stopped buying them.
17:22GDP barely grew.
17:24The lost decade, they called it.
17:26And the effects, the effects are still felt today.
17:29You see, for all its claims of being fans of fair trade, for America,
17:34it is only fair if it is winning.
17:37And if there's even a whiff of a loss, it bullies.
17:42Because it can.
17:43Every single time.
17:46And this time is no different.
17:49Tariffs and trade wars and finally back to where we started.
17:53Taking out Iran.
17:55It is all part of the plot to stay on top.
17:59And there's not much they won't do to stay on top.
18:03You know, one of the interesting ideas that's floated out there for deterrence
18:07is just making it very clear to the Chinese that if you invade Taiwan, we're going to blow up TSMC.
18:13World economy, be damned.
18:16In the meantime, they'll tell you that they have to blow up Iran to keep you safe.
18:22World peace, be damned.
18:24They'll tell you that they really don't want to, of course, that it was never part of the plan.
18:29But Iran left them no choice.
18:32Just remember, there is always a choice.
18:36Just as there is always a plan.
18:40This is a memo that describes how we're going to take out seven countries in five years.
18:46Starting with Iraq and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and finishing off Iran.
