00:00Hello, how's it going? I'm Ryan with Larsonia Rowe. This is our active senior citizen community
00:23bus and we want to show you what we're all about. We're on the unique Legion tour with
00:28Crown Magnetar, Extermination, Dismeverment, and Extortionist. This is our first ever tour.
00:34It's our first ever rig. Come check out what we got. Yeah, so this bus, it took us months and months.
00:42We were looking at rentals. We were looking at doing a bunch of different options. We found this
00:46on Facebook Marketplace. It was a senior living community bus that they would take to Bingo and
00:52Walmart. We decided, hey, let's see what they would take for an offer. We went and met with them.
01:00We did a little bit of back and forth with a cash deal, paid them cash. We took it. This did have
01:0714 passenger seats inside of it before, so there were seats going all the way back on both ends.
01:14It was pretty good condition. There's things like some cracking and some peeling, things like that,
01:21but those are things that you can expect with shuttle buses like this. This is a 2005 Ford.
01:28Thing had 31,000 miles on it. It was only taken to Bingo, so we said, hey, let's take a shot at it.
01:35Ben kept in pretty good condition, so we decided, hey, let's buy it. Let's gut it out and let's do some
01:41renovations. Rob, he's our bassist. He also does a good deal of the driving, so does Morgan, our
01:48drummer, but those two kind of tag team up here. They've kind of made it their own. They have a few
01:55items. One thing I will point out at first before I pass it off to Rob is our heater system. This is
02:02how we stay warm in these cold. It's been cold, cold, cold. It's been freezing this entire tour.
02:07Nashville was below freezing. We were never expecting that. Just a standard buddy heater.
02:14Have it hooked up to a standard grill propane tank. We haven't always used it because we were a little
02:22kind of sketched out on it, but we have started using it, and it worked amazing last night.
02:27We're all kind of running through some nasal congestion, so we're doing all we can to have
02:31some heat, and then things like windshield covers, preparing for snow. Henry's mom came in and clutched
02:41and got us that. That was amazing. I'm Rob, bass player, circumnavigator, and overall caveman for
02:48the group. This is the driver's seat. This is my second home for the most part. I'm going to take
02:53you through some of the stuff to go through. So all the lights and the heaters for the back, this console
02:57is right down here. So we control the lights back there, the limo lights, the heaters for them back
03:02there, and then also this front light is controlled over here, and the headlights are odd. You have to
03:06pull them out for the headlights right there. Do that. Radio is important. The CD, I don't know if
03:13anyone else other than me still buys and collects CDs anymore, so we hook this up with Bluetooth, and
03:18we got to play a lot of our favorite songs through there while also doing navigation. So to piggyback off
03:23what Ryan said, this is, I also have my little, my little own pharmacy up here as well, whether it's
03:28Dayquil, you know, sinus stuff, throat spray, Big Red, little painkillers, you know, when you're on the
03:36road, it's, it's tough, it's arduous, it's taxing, and when you're like me and nearing a hundred years
03:42old, you know, you got to take care of yourself much more, and then this is the second bag of vitamins.
03:47Sometimes we go to places that are interesting, so you got to find means to take care of yourself, and
03:51when you have downtime, you got some books to read, so I got a staple, American Hardcore,
03:56great book, and another book about a good old death and thrash metal in the 80s through a series of
04:01zines, and that's me probably about 85% of the time, so thank you. All right, you've seen the driving
04:07area, now let's check out the living quarters. It's about, I don't even know how many square feet
04:13this is, not enough. That's, that's how many square feet. So basically, this is where we keep
04:19our cooler, that's where Henry's legs are, food. Yeah, so, so we have, you know, this is pretty
04:26standard, a lot of bands will try to do, you know, some type of power running from the front to the
04:31back. We didn't want to install a full inverter yet. We only had the bus for about six weeks before we
04:38had to take it on the road, so we had so much to do. We had to replace an auxiliary battery in it just
04:43to get power back here. So we do run a little 300 watt inverter all the way back. It goes under
04:50my bunk, and we have a little three-way power strip. That way we can charge phones, devices,
04:57in-ears, stuff like that. Walls, we decided to cover them up. As you'll see, you know, we don't
05:04have, it's a lot of window going on. Basically, what you see covered is a window, so we didn't have
05:10too much to really stud into, so command strips have been, like, key. They don't always stay on,
05:19so I've had to change a few, but most of them are just banners from either old projects that we had
05:25or our personal banners for the band, and we're like, hey, we're not using them on the tour. Why not
05:29use them as window coverings? They're super easy to move and maneuver. Just a quick little flip if you
05:36want to see some of the cities that we're traveling through. It just, you know, makes it easy and kind
05:41of looks cool. Makes it seem like, you know, a bunch of dudes are hanging out and, you know,
05:46has a vibe to it. Yes, but yeah, as we mentioned with the cooler and food, this is Henry. Him and I,
05:54we started this project. He does most of the compositions. Guitar is his main instrument, but...
06:03Yeah, I ride all the guitar, drum, bass parts. These guys learn it. This guy DJs it and does vocals.
06:13Yep. So yeah, you want to go over food? This is a snack bag. Just a bunch of random crap in it. We've
06:21been living off Lenny and Larry's the whole time. That's basically what we eat. Which is dangerous
06:29because there's a lot of fiber in there. So this is the cooler. Just a bunch of mainly energy drinks
06:36and electrolytes in there. And yeah, that's about it right here. And then I'm the dude who wears all
06:47the mouth contraptions. You know, this is my main one for the stage because it's super light and easy
06:53to use. You just... like that. And I also have another cool one that I tried to use on stage
07:02but it was too heavy and painful. One of my best friends, Aaron in New York, Rochester, made this
07:10one for me. It's pretty cool. It's a little heavy. And he just... I'm not going to put it on right now
07:16because it's a pain in the butt. But you just put it on and then it's got like these cool little
07:22things right here that pry your mouth open. It's pretty cool. And I'm just a weird dude who
07:31likes weird things. This is also my bunk. It's using as storage right now. It's kind of a mess.
07:37And yeah, I'm not that interesting. That's about it. So when we were trying to map out how we were
07:47going to pull this off, you know, you see a bunch of bands that, you know, they're typically in like
07:52a van and they're sleeping on the benches and instantly become claustrophobic to the thought
07:58of that. So we had to maneuver. It took weeks and weeks of doing measurements, trying to figure out
08:04how to fit this in here. Underneath these bunks, there are the tires. And so you have the tire boxes
08:12and then you have a floor heater. And so it became a puzzle. The other part of the equation was we had
08:19to figure out how to put bunks, how to sleep, how to sit safely while also not having a trailer.
08:26So we had to find ways of solving a puzzle to be able to travel safely, bring all of our equipment,
08:33all of our merch to sit with us. So, all right. So normally this corner would house our sound rack.
08:41So it's kind of like a box here and then we'll put a tote on top. And that's kind of where I keep my
08:48stuff. It's almost like my little personal shelf. Right now it has my luggage, which is normally
08:53actually sleeping with me on the bed because it's what you got to do to conserve space. We do have
09:00this little ladder to step up ladder. Part of this bunk, the reason why we went with it is because the
09:07size was perfectly fit from side to side. This is not drilled into the wall at all. Yes, that's a
09:14little sketchy, but it's been pretty sturdy, especially when you're sitting. I typically don't
09:18like people on top while we're driving, but at night it's been very comfortable. My bed has been
09:24very comfortable. So that makes me happy. If I'm happy, typically everyone else is going to be a little
09:29bit more happy because I can be a princess. So yeah, let's go to my bunk. So this is standard
09:36mattress, foam topper. I don't make my bed every day. We did make it for this. Typically I have a
09:45bunch of other people's stuff on there as well and it drives me nuts, but that's okay. I love pillows.
09:51I have four pillows. I use half of them, then I strangle the other half. That's just how I sleep. I
09:57don't know why. So yeah, we put lights on the side that can kind of magnet on there. That way we can
10:02maneuver them around. Underneath, that's where we actually store guitars, things like that. Some
10:09merch boxes. Right here, I added this netting. That way I could add some things like there's always
10:16water bottles next to me, food, gloves, steam deck, because I try to play games like Dark Souls while
10:26we're driving and I fail miserably, but I keep trying because we never give up. I always have
10:31meat sticks on me. I don't eat a ton of carbs, so having things like this is extremely helpful.
10:39But yeah, that's pretty much my bunk. Henry has been sleeping down here with me a little bit,
10:45believe it or not. We can both fit on here fairly comfortable. Helps to stay warm as well.
10:51But yeah, let's pass it back to Mike. How you guys doing? My name is Mike. I'm one of the guitar
10:57players in Larcenio Row. This is my bed. I do not have a lot going on here. Real simple,
11:04real setup. You know, I got two pillows. This is where that power that Ryan was talking about
11:10stays. It just stays between the two of us. That way him and Henry can access it. Me
11:14and Morgan can access it. We'll get to him in a minute. We've been sick. I feel like I've been
11:23hit probably the hardest. So I got a box of tissues that just stays up here with me. That is not the
11:28first one and it probably won't be the last. And then I just sleep with my bags at the end of my bed.
11:35I got one bag for toiletry stuff. I got one bag with the rest of my stuff, just personals, clothes,
11:42Nintendo Switch, which that's been a huge, huge thing to have. We got a lot of downtime when we're
11:49just driving between cities. So we've had people make us masks for Morgan. You know, you just come
11:55out, you bring it to the show. He'll wear it. We can sign it and do whatever. I get to sleep with
11:59some of the cooler ones staring at me. So this was one of the masks that was made that just
12:05sleeps right next to me. I've got to take a second to figure out. This one sleeps at the end of my
12:15bed. And this is what I get to stare at as I go to sleep. So now we're going to pass it on to the
12:21person who sleeps below me. Hey, what's up guys? Sorry, I was looking at Orlando Bloom in a swimsuit.
12:28My name is Morgan. I play drums for Arsenio Row and welcome to my bunk, also known as The Hole.
12:35I got a few pillows back here. I got my secret Dr. Pepper that no one knows about that I'll drink
12:41eventually. Don't worry. I got all my stuff, like my clothes and a bunch of personal stuff on my left
12:48side here. As you can see, I don't have a lot of room down here, but that's why it's called The Hole.
12:53I'll show you some things that are in my bag. I got a little poster. Me and Mike are both
12:58switch boys, so I got my switch. I got a lot of drugs, like ibuprofen and I got my supplements
13:07because I'm a vegetarian. I don't get enough vitamins and shit. Well, there's my electropro
13:14because I'm depressed as fuck. Let's see. There's something else I want to show you here. I can
13:20smell it. I can smell it. I got that Alaskan thunder fuck. It's a gift from Steven in Rochester.
13:26Thank you, Steven. I'll smoke that later. Let's see here. I got a bunch of bullshit.
13:35Some wipes in case I need to wipe my ass. Sometimes I shit down here, too. But yeah,
13:42that's kind of it. I kind of have to lay diagonally down here, or the hypotenuse, as Einstein would
13:51say. But it's a little uncomfortable, but I make it work because I'm a tall boy. So I kind of have
13:58to curl up like this. I have to be like this. And then sometimes when I roll on my side, Mike's fat
14:04ass is like pushing this thing down. Yeah, I get bumped a lot in my sleep, but I understand, you know,
14:10he's a tall boy. There's not a lot of space down there, so I just kind of roll with the punches.
14:14Plus, I toss a lot, so I imagine he'll feel some of this moving. I like the privacy, so I don't mind
14:20the hole. Plus, the heater's right at my feet. But yeah, that's my bunk. Behind me, all we got is
14:28like this merch table and the gear and whatnot, so that's about it. So we see the inside of the bus.
14:35Let's swing it outside, bring it to the back, and we'll show you where we store the rest of our gear
14:40and merch. So this is the back of the bus. One of the best parts about having the shuttle bus where
14:47it was kind of a mystery on the condition of it. I've had to replace multiple blinkers on the trip
14:53so far. So far, they've stood up, but I expect to probably change more soon. But let me walk this
15:02all right. So as you see here, we actually have a back row of seats. So originally, we were going
15:14to keep these seats for somebody to sleep on. They're actually more comfortable than it may seem,
15:20but it actually kind of gives us the ability to stack things on top and under. So we push things
15:27all the way back. You kind of see there's some drum heads and things way down there.
15:34But we try to slide as much as possible to the side, under, and then stack on top so we can avoid
15:41using a trailer. Trailers can be dangerous. People break into them. It's kind of like a magnet for that
15:46type of stuff. So for us, we've been very lucky on being able to pull it off without a trailer.
15:52Now, being that close to people for this long, we've already talked, hey, maybe it is worth having
15:59a trailer. But if you're trying to pull this off for your band or you're trying to travel and do a
16:06renovation, this is a great way of being able to travel safely, nice and snug. But where there's a
16:13will, there is a way. And we all have brains that we can solve a puzzle. So yeah, that's the back.
16:19All right, you saw the bus. Again, we are Larcinia Row based out of Raleigh, North Carolina.
16:25We're part of Unique Leader Records. We're super stoked to be on this tour with a bunch of amazing
16:30bands. We do have new music coming out soon. You can check us out. Keep updates on that through our
16:36Instagram, Facebook, YouTube. Check us out on Spotify, Apple Music, add us to all those playlists.
16:43We're a smaller band growing fairly rapidly. So we want you in on it. But yeah, we appreciate you
16:50guys for coming out. This is an honor. I'm a huge fan of the channel. And hopefully we can do this
16:54again in the future once we start doing some changes and upgrades.
