00:00Well, thank you very much, everybody, and a very
00:06happy Easter to everyone.
00:09It was a beautiful day yesterday, and it's a
00:11beautiful day today.
00:13We don't have to worry about sunburn, but we
00:15— looks like it's not going to be raining.
00:17It's going to be really something special.
00:20Forty thousand, forty-two thousand people are
00:22expected all throughout the day, and it's an
00:24honor to have you.
00:26I just signed an executive order putting the flags
00:30of our country, all of them — all federal flags and
00:33state flags at half-mast in honor of Pope Francis.
00:37So he was a good man, worked hard, he loved the
00:43world, and it's an honor to do that.
00:45I want to thank everybody for being here.
00:48This is some band.
00:50I've heard this band actually indirectly for
00:53four years and very directly now for four and
00:56a half, and I like the direct method even better.
01:00But the Marine Corps band is very, very special.
01:02Thank you very much.
01:03What a great job.
01:08I also want to thank the National Park Service.
01:11The job they do in making everything so
01:13beautiful and spiffy.
01:15And I'm very difficult when it comes to that.
01:17I will tell you, very, very difficult.
01:19And I say they have done an incredible job.
01:21You just have to look around and see.
01:23And I just want to give a special thank you to our
01:27great First Lady who organized this entire event.
01:30She worked very, very hard on it.
01:32She worked very hard.
01:36I said, what are you doing?
01:37She said, I'm working on the egg roll.
01:39I said, that sounds like a lot of fun.
01:42And we're going to have a lot of fun in just a couple
01:44of minutes.
01:44But again, our country is doing very well.
01:48We had the highest number of recruits, enlistments
01:52that we've had in, I think, 28 or 29 years.
01:56And I'm sure we're going to actually beat that number.
01:58It's all happened since November 5th.
02:01It's all happened.
02:02Enrollment in the military is at a record.
02:05And enrollment in the police force, fire forces,
02:08and all of the different law enforcement groups.
02:11We have — we're setting records.
02:13And six months ago, we couldn't get anybody.
02:17And now we're setting records.
02:18That's a sort of testament to what's happening in
02:20terms of the spirit of our country.
02:23We love our country.
02:25And it's been something very, very special.
02:27And speaking of special, Easter is special.
02:34And it's one of our favorite days.
02:36It's one of our favorite periods of time.
02:39We're honoring Jesus Christ.
02:41And we're going to honor Jesus Christ very powerfully
02:44throughout our lives.
02:45That's all throughout our lives.
02:47Not just now, all throughout our lives.
02:49We're bringing religion back in America.
02:52We're bringing a lot of things back.
02:53But religion is coming back to America.
02:56That's why you see the kind of numbers that you're seeing.
02:58The spirit and the kind of numbers that you're seeing.
03:01So we're going to come down and join you right now.
03:04But I just want to wish everybody, once again,
03:07happy Easter and enjoy your lives.
03:10We're going to have a great four years.
