00:00Well, we take a look at last night's rainfall, and there was some snow up north, and it's part of an active pattern.
00:05We've got a few more systems on the way over the next seven days.
00:18So a decent rainfall for eastern and southeastern Minnesota, up to two or more inches in parts of southeastern Minnesota.
00:24But in between kind of the west, which saw nothing, we were sandwiched in between that spot with the Twin Cities, picking up anywhere from a half inch to as much as an inch of rain, making up much of our April deficits.
00:35But it fell in the form of some slushy snow up north, two and a half inches in Finland, anywhere from a coating to an inch or two for many spots along the north shore.
00:43So not a significant snow, but yeah, if you're in that part of the state and you're looking for spring and it's April 21st, yeah, it happens though up there.
00:52Still very normal for that.
00:53Departing system moving out, quick clearing today.
00:56So sunshine much of the afternoon.
00:57It's going to warm our temperatures up to close to 60 probably in the Twin Cities, but we're going to have a west to east temperature gradient today where we have the clouds, cooler temperatures, 50s and 40s in southeastern and northeastern Minnesota, but 60s to the west.
01:10And we're going to see temperatures close to 70 across much of southern Minnesota tomorrow after another shot of showers.
01:16We've got another system moving in tonight.
01:17This is part of an active pattern.
01:19We've got a mainly zonal flow.
01:21The jet stream is going to be over us much of the week, and that's the main storm track pattern.
01:25So every little ripple or disturbance in the atmosphere will be moving through over the next seven days, though it looks like last night's rainfall will probably be the heaviest of the week.
01:33Few showers, really more spotty showers tonight into early tomorrow morning, and then that lifts north.
01:38So the chance for showers is mostly in the morning tomorrow for southern Minnesota, afternoon and evening for the northern part of the state.
01:44And this time, much lighter rainfall, but more widespread across the state, too.
01:48But most of us, a tenth to maybe two tenths of an inch of rain is going to be about it out of that one.
01:53And then we get a dry break.
01:55Temperatures will be back close to 70 on Wednesday before yet another system develops for Thursday.
02:00More showers, maybe even some thunderstorms with this one as it's going to be a little warmer Thursday into Thursday night.
02:06Then we get back into a break of some dry weather most of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
02:10But then another shot of rain is possible by Sunday.
02:14But as far as additional rainfall in total with the Tuesday and Thursday systems,
02:18generally a half inch to another inch of rain across most of central and southern Minnesota.
02:23But we might add to that, as I mentioned, by Sunday, kind of similar timing to this weekend.
02:27Looks like by later in the day Sunday of this upcoming weekend, more showers move in as well into Monday.
02:32So we were seeing a temporary deficit in our rainfall in the Twin Cities and southeastern Minnesota this month.
02:39But we've made up for that, and it looks as though we're going to surpass it here with the final days of the month.
02:4461 today, upper 60s tomorrow, close to 70.
02:47Wednesday, a normal high is about 61.
02:49So most of these temperatures are above normal, despite the every other day rainfall chances.
