As the weather warms up, we ask locals when they typically turn their heating off. Do they wait until winter is definitely over, or switch it off at the first sign of sun? Are there household arguments about when’s the right time?

00:00So me personally I like to put the heating on timer so it's warm when I get
00:04up for work in the morning and it's warm when I come home from work but my
00:08husband has now said it's summer and then no heating should be on until at least
00:11October. We love the heating but we like the heating so yeah so we're dressing
00:16gowns and cosy socks for us isn't it yeah yeah so there is arguments absolutely.
00:20No we tend to agree on the heating and we definitely turn it off now with the
00:26why things are and they have it often that's when really cold.
00:30Do we ever have a summer where we don't put our heating on because I put my
00:34heating on so my heating's on from morning until bed because of freezings
00:42conditions. My family they turn their heating off in their room.
00:48What I do in my house is I've already programmed it to a certain temperature so
00:54it's on all year round. I think it's on at 22 all year round.
