00:00Hi, I have a question for a lot of years, because as a state employee who is underrepresented by MAPE, working in higher education,
00:19like, so Tim Walsh has recently put a return to office order, and I'm against it because as a person with disability, school is, who currently has telework accommodations,
00:36like that would affect, that even though my agency is not affected, because my agency is technically not under the accepted grudge,
00:42but the issue is that it would affect my ability to pursue other opportunities within, in other agencies.
00:50And the second part is that now it is a contract negotiation period. I would like to see MMB to, to not proposing, to not making proposals that weaken union,
01:06like bargaining, bargaining, like, the rights. So, thank you. So, I just want to put that out there and, like, see what the local leaders are thinking about it.
01:22I'll tell you what I told the Governor and his staff, is that my expectation as the State Senator is that the Governor is working with MAPE in anything that affects your working conditions.
01:33The Governor needs to work with workers if he's making changes. We know that, in many instances, the Governor, the Governor and the Administration has given up leases in buildings,
01:46and not everyone will fit in the buildings if we all have to go back to work. So, they're going to have to get real creative.
01:53But the fundamental expectation, I think, me and my colleagues have is that the Governor is working with MAPE and with each unit,
02:01and before he even laterally says, here's the press release statement, to come back. He has to work with you.
02:08Thank you so much.
02:13Hi. I am an avid watcher of MSNBC.
02:19And I saw Lisa Murkowski talking about how afraid she is to speak out, and it made me wonder if you guys could kind of covertly tell them that it's okay to be able to work together and say, you know what, you've got your back.
02:39I just, I just want to see more fight. I just want to see more fight.
02:46I think what Lisa speaks, Senator, the Senator speaks to is real. You know, I think the level of threats that members of Congress,
03:09and certainly those who go against their party leadership or the executive branch that they face, is a lot.
03:20What my hope and, you know, the hope of some of my colleagues who have been dealing with this forever, is that our courage would be contagious.
03:31That they would take, that they would take things from us, that regardless of how much we have been threatened.
03:38You know, I had the highest level of threats in the first term presidency when I was in Congress.
03:45Um, and, it never, it never made me want to think about stopping and standing up for the Constitution for our citizens.
03:56Um, and so I think it is important that the Senator talks about it, because I think that the public needs to understand that we do, when we do this, that our lives are under threat, so we do need support.
04:08We need to have people to have our back. Um, but I think she is. I think she is showing signs of bravery and courage.
04:18Uh, and we should be sending her, uh, signs to continue to stand up and continue to be good.
