00:01We are now going live to Los Angeles, California and to see what the latest update is with Casey and Jackie and Kyle.
00:13Case, are you on the line?
00:16Yo, guys, what's going on? Good morning.
00:19Good morning. Good morning. Where are you?
00:22Well, damn it.
00:24I was hoping I had a couple more minutes for you guys to come to me because I had to pee so bad.
00:32We just got out of the car.
00:35Okay.
00:35And I was hoping to start this break with my feet right over there.
00:41Oh, my God. Look how close they are.
00:43In the Pacific Ocean. He's pointing to it.
00:47But I...
00:48How do we get over there?
00:50They can't get over it.
00:51They can't figure out how to get there.
00:53Oh, that's right.
00:54Dude, there's a stretch of the PCH that, like, bisects Santa Monica and you have to...
00:58There are a few foot bridges, including the Santa Monica Pier, but you can't walk over the road that stretch.
01:05So they can see it, but they're not there.
01:07Oh, my God.
01:08Can we do the bizarre file and then see this all again?
01:11This is how we roll. This is how we roll.
01:13I'm trying to see from the map.
01:15You're right there, obviously, and I can't see a way to breach this.
01:19Casey, is there any foreseeable way that you can notice?
01:24Uh, any foreseeable way I can what?
01:27That you can get to the beach.
01:29Yes. Yeah, I think I saw a foot bridge.
01:31It sounds like you're inside.
01:32He's in someone's apartment right now.
01:34He's going to the bathroom.
01:35Oh, my God.
01:35Oh, you're taking a leak?
01:36You can't wait.
01:37I'm literally going to the bathroom as we sleep right now.
01:41Hold it down so we can...
01:42I couldn't help myself.
01:43...so we can hear you pee.
01:44Yeah, let's hear you.
01:45And see your unit.
01:46Oh, God.
01:47Hang on a second.
01:47Hang on a second.
01:48Hang on a second.
01:50Live and local.
01:52You know what?
01:53Here.
01:56All right, so not quite the end here.
01:57Don't get pee-shy.
01:58All right.
01:59All right.
02:00Okay.
02:01What are we looking at?
02:02Oh, Casey.
02:03There's a hairy arm.
02:03Can you poop?
02:06I...
02:06No, there's somebody using the toilet right now.
02:09All right.
02:10Okay, all right.
02:10But I could.
02:11I mean, I literally...
02:12I could.
02:13I could.
02:13I bet you the really big shows could do that.
02:17Yeah, well, you know, once we make it to, like, Market 2 or Market 3, maybe I'll be able
02:22to do that, but...
02:23Mm-hmm.
02:24Okay.
02:25Sorry, guys.
02:26All right.
02:26That was unavoidable.
02:27You had to do that.
02:28You're only human.
02:29Oh, dear.
02:31I can...
02:31Listen, Nick, I know you warned me, but I am so blown away with how horrendous the traffic
02:41in L.A. is at 5 o'clock in the morning.
02:44Well, I...
02:45Yeah, the thing about Los Angeles, if people don't know or if they haven't been there, is
02:48that it stretches so far east.
02:51I mean, like, the city itself ends at a certain point where L.A. County ends or whatever, but
02:55like, the number of people, the number of roads, you take the 10 east, you know, from
02:59the east into the west, and the traffic starts building up, like out in San Bernardino, and
03:03it's just...
03:03It's remarkable.
03:04And so, I was hoping that if you guys got an early enough start from Palm Springs, that maybe
03:09you could avoid some of it, but in L.A., it's almost unavoidable, but that's how bad it is.
03:13Yeah, so I had been, you know, monitoring how long it was going to take for a few days
03:19now.
03:19Like, every morning I woke up, like, I would punch in the coordinates from, you know, Palm
03:25Springs to where I'm at right now.
03:27Right.
03:27And every single morning, two hours and six minutes, two hours and six minutes, so I was
03:33like, we're golden, right?
03:36But, you know, there was, like, an accident on Route 10, and then just, like, regular
03:42congestion, I was like, as soon as we, like, got on to 10, I was like, wow, there's a lot
03:50of cars on the way to 4 o'clock.
03:53Casey, you mentioned punching in the coordinates of where you are now.
03:56Where are you now?
03:56Where did it take you to?
03:58Okay, so, right over here is Santa Monica Pier.
04:04Okay, so you're in Santa Monica.
04:06In Santa Monica, yeah.
04:08And as a matter of fact, Chris, I did find a little footbridge that goes over, is this
04:14Route 1 here, Nick?
04:15That's PCH, yeah, Pacific Coast Highway that goes up from, you know, runs the entire...
04:19US-1, they call that, yeah.
04:20Yeah, PCH, US-1, and so there are a few footbridges or a few tunnels, and then there's the Santa
04:26Monica Pier itself, but from the pier, it's actually a little difficult to get to the
04:30beach, so now you guys are working your way down to the sand.
04:34They're in a canyon, yeah.
04:38There's the PCH guys.
04:40Yeah.
04:40They're walking across it, yeah.
04:43All right, so how far would you judge that the water is away from you guys, Case?
04:48Maybe two football fields.
04:49All right, that's not far.
04:50Just a standard Wildwood Beach is what that is.
04:54Yeah, seriously.
04:55Yeah.
04:55All right, and when you get there, this goal the whole time has been to leave our show on
05:01Monday and arrive at the Pacific Ocean and put your feet in the ocean, and we are just
05:08a tiny bit away from that actually happening.
05:12It is going to happen unless something between now and 100 yards takes place.
05:16Right, right.
05:17We should be able to achieve this goal that we set forth for these guys, and Casey's
05:21dream, by the way.
05:23Absolutely.
05:23To drive across the country, to do a transcontinental, would that be correct?
05:29No, that's between continents, right?
05:30Yes, to drive across the ocean.
05:31To drive across the ocean to Africa.
05:34Oh, really?
05:35What did he say?
05:36Yeah.
05:36There's a homeless guy yelling at me right now.
05:38I'm just pretending like I can't hear him.
05:41Yeah.
05:41That's a good idea.
05:42He said, something, something, you effing pig, I heard him yell.
05:48Okay.
05:49All right.
05:49Well, that's basically welcome to California.
05:51He's yelling at us.
05:53Oh, no.
05:54He's yelling at the police officer.
05:55Sorry, guys.
05:55Ah, okay.
05:57I think that's Gummy from Fletch.
05:58Correct.
06:01All right.
06:01Guys, I'm on sand right now, baby.
06:04Yeah.
06:04Nice.
06:05Taking your shoes off.
06:07Is Jackie putting in his turn-of-the-century swimsuit now with the stripes?
06:12Jackie's got his chucks on.
06:13He does, yeah.
06:14I thought he would have taken his shoes off, but that's okay.
06:16Is it chilly there, Case?
06:18Yeah.
06:19You know what?
06:19The stand is really cold.
06:22And the water is as well.
06:25Yeah.
06:25I think the water's going to be a little freezing.
06:26But air temperature-wise, I don't know.
06:30I feel low.
06:31You know what?
06:31I can tell you.
06:32Look at my watch.
06:33It's 63 degrees.
06:35All right.
06:35Wow.
06:35That's pretty chilly.
06:36Well, like here this morning.
06:37The same here, yeah.
06:38Yeah.
06:38Yeah.
06:39But, man, this was the goal.
06:43This is what we set out to do.
06:45Yep.
06:45When I ran over the curb in the parking lot at 7.30 on Monday morning.
06:50But, you know, you made excellent time today when you stop and think about it.
06:54Most of the goals that you've hit were closer to 11 the past couple of days,
06:59and we're just shy of 10 right now.
07:01So you're doing great.
07:03Yeah.
07:03You know what?
07:04Here, Steve.
07:04I had anticipated or hoped to be where I'm going to be 25 minutes ago.
07:12That was my goal.
07:13All right.
07:13It was 9.30 Philly time, which would be ankles deep in the Pacific.
07:19So that's not bad.
07:20No.
07:20That's not bad at all.
07:21It's not.
07:22Can you turn the camera around just a little bit to see the ocean?
07:26See where you are?
07:26There you go.
07:27All right.
07:28It's a beautiful morning in L.A., man.
07:29That's so nice.
07:30I'm glad you guys got great weather.
07:31Really, across the country, you got pretty good weather the whole damn time.
07:34A little bit of rain in Ohio or something, I think you said,
07:36but most of the rest of the time has been nice.
07:38You might catch an early Hasselhoff jog along the beach because of the, you know.
07:46This is not like the Jersey Shore at all, man.
07:52How so?
07:53Can you see those mountains?
07:54Location.
07:55Oh, yeah.
07:55The mountains, yes.
07:56Absolutely.
07:57Yeah, you get a bit of a view, most definitely, when you're on the beach.
08:01It's wild to watch this.
08:02Los Angeles.
08:03So what do you got, about another 100 yards?
08:06Dude, yeah.
08:06Like I said, two football fields, but my eyes must have been deceiving me.
08:12It's insanely wide beach.
08:15Impressive.
08:15My feet are so cold now for this whole thing.
08:22Come on, man.
08:23You're almost there.
08:24And we've said that many times.
08:25What's that, Case?
08:26You were talking to Bam Bam?
08:27He just took his shoes off.
08:28Yeah, yeah.
08:29Here you go.
08:30How are you feeling, Jackie?
08:32I took your advice.
08:33I took my brand new chucks off.
08:34There was no way I was getting sand in my brand new chucks.
08:37Yeah.
08:37You took them off halfway across the beach, but yeah, you took them off.
08:40So, Jackie, how does it feel?
08:44I was told, what's that?
08:46I was going to ask you how it feels to be coming to the end of this drive across the country right now.
08:53My heart is just, you know, what are they saying, Dr. Seuss?
08:56It's grown three times.
08:57I'm so honored to be a part of Casey Boyd's dream, and I've seen places that, and the Willie Nelson song says,
09:04I'll probably never see you again.
09:06I love it.
09:06It's awesome.
09:07It's great.
09:08That's fantastic.
09:09Good.
09:10Yeah, you guys have had a really good time, and we were hoping for something like that,
09:14but you never know what can happen along the way.
09:15We weren't sure if you guys would be at each other's throats or anything like that,
09:19but it's been a love fest, hasn't it?
09:21I can't believe it.
09:22Everyone's like, did you get any arguments, any fights?
09:24No, man.
09:25We're like, this should be a TV reality series.
09:28It's amazing.
09:29Hey, remember, tell Kyle as you guys are getting, because he's getting video,
09:34as you guys are stepping up to the ocean, tell him I said wide angle, Kyle.
09:38But look behind these guys.
09:39The sun's rising.
09:40The sun is coming up over the horizon.
09:41I mean, the timing.
09:42I know Casey said he wanted to get there a little earlier.
09:45The timing of this couldn't be better, because the sun is coming up as they're walking into the Pacific Ocean.
09:49It's picture perfect.
09:50It really is.
09:50Make sure you're watching on YouTube, our streaming, because we are doing this live.
09:53All right, they're getting really, really close now.
09:55They're probably 30, 40 yards away, maybe less than that.
09:58Roll that porpoise back into the water there, Case.
10:02Okay, so here's the deal.
10:03Bam Bam, put your shoes in for you.
10:05Where are you here?
10:06Here we go.
10:08So, here.
10:10All right.
10:10Bam Bam, we are holding hands.
10:12No, hold hands.
10:13Don't.
10:13I don't want to.
10:14You can skip.
10:15I'm not skipping.
10:15Now they're fighting.
10:17They made it this far.
10:18All right, guys.
10:19About 10 yards away.
10:20Wow.
10:21From reaching our destination.
10:24Here we are.
10:25Point down if you can.
10:26Three, two, one.
10:31Here we are.
10:33Yeah.
10:33And they did it.
10:34Yeah.
10:35Yes, ladies and gentlemen.
10:37It has happened.
10:38They are at the end.
10:42This journey that has taken five days and gone.
10:46And how many thousands of miles, Steve?
10:48A total.
10:49It's over 2,000 miles as they drove from Bala, one Bala Plaza, all the way to Santa Monica, California.
10:58And they are now in the water.
11:01It's calculating.
11:02How does it feel?
11:03You know what?
11:05It feels wonderful.
11:06Guys, thank you so much for this opportunity.
11:08This would have been an amazing thing to do back in June.
11:12But, you know, having been able to help be part of the planning process, and this has just been really, really great.
11:21And I'm, like, really, really touched.
11:22You guys were doing this and surprising me.
11:27And that, what do you point?
11:28Jackie Bam Bam.
11:29He's such a clown.
11:30Hey, Dad.
11:31There it is.
11:33The water is actually a lot warmer than I thought it was going to be.
11:35Oh, it is?
11:35Oh, yeah?
11:36All right.
11:37Yeah.
11:38Nice.
11:38I would say the water is at least in the 60, 70-degree range, maybe even warmer.
11:43I'll have to check.
11:44The water is warmer than the sand.
11:46That's usually not the case, so good for you.
11:48Everything has worked well.
11:50Even the Pacific Ocean warmed up to greet you.
11:53So that's fantastic.
11:54Right.
11:55How many?
11:55It looks like there's maybe three people on this huge stretch of beach besides you guys.
12:00Yeah.
12:01I mean, you've got to figure it's 7 o'clock in the morning here.
12:03So we've got a guy over here trying to get some, you know, he's got the metal detector
12:08out here.
12:09Can you sleep on this beach?
12:11Yeah.
12:11I don't know.
12:11Because he kind of said-
12:12Can we sleep on this beach?
12:13Dwight, you want to go to sleep on the beach?
12:16Okay.
12:17Stay an extra day.
12:18That's a great shot of you, Casey.
12:19We can see the Santa Monica Pier in the background.
12:21It looks beautiful.
12:23So that's the famous pier.
12:25It has a Lost Boys kind of vibe to it, Casey.
12:27It's beautiful.
12:28Yeah.
12:29Michael.
12:30Michael.
12:32Mikey.
12:32Well, listen, you guys did it.
12:34We're very proud of you.
12:35It's awesome.
12:36Now you can relax and take it easy.
12:39And you get to at least get today and most of tomorrow to enjoy while you're in Los Angeles.
12:45Yeah.
12:45Yeah.
12:46So we're definitely going to kick back a little bit.
12:47Maybe we'll check in with a couple of the guys and the rest of the, who do we got?
12:53Like Brent Porch, Max and Sarah, those guys.
12:56But I'm a little nervous to go past the screaming homeless man.
12:59So go a little party.
13:01Go try to take a big loop around you.
13:03Swig around if you can.
13:05Preston, 2,405 miles.
13:072,405 miles.
13:08And that's $200,405 from Subaru that's going to be donated to Camp Alpha Hunter, which is fantastic.
13:15They did it!
13:15Thanks, Subaru, for giving us the vehicle.
13:19And we thank Marriott for giving these guys places to stay.
13:22And thanking Duncan for the food and the coffee along the way.
13:25It's been fantastic.
13:26I have to cut this off now, guys, because we've got to do our Yoo-Hoo loot.
13:31It's time for that.
13:32So we're going to do it.
13:32And we'll check in with you before the show's over.
13:34Okay?
13:34Congratulations!
13:35Congratulations!
13:35Yay!
13:38They made it.
