00:00He described his date and his connection with Tia as beautiful.
00:05Yes, he did.
00:06So they actually were set up by mutual friends.
00:09Which is always good news.
00:11Usually.
00:12Usually, yes.
00:12If your friends know you.
00:14That's always a good one.
00:15That's true.
00:15Set up by some mutual friends.
00:17They went to Bar Lily for the first date.
00:19Then those mutual friends actually had a holiday party.
00:21Got invited to that.
00:22They went together.
00:23All good.
00:24And she was the DD for the night, so she dropped him back off at home.
00:28And that was it.
00:30So now he has heard nothing from her since that holiday party.
00:34So something went down.
00:35At the holiday party.
00:36That's what I'm saying.
00:37Has to.
00:37It's got to be.
00:38But he has no idea what it was.
00:40He said that she's just easy to be around.
00:41So we're going to see.
00:42We actually have Tia on the phone right now.
00:44We've tracked her down.
00:45She's on hold.
00:45Let's bring her back on.
00:47Tia, are you there?
00:48Hi, yeah.
00:49Hey, Tia.
00:50I appreciate you agreeing to come on the air with us.
00:52Thank you so much.
00:53I know this is a random phone call.
00:54We wanted to ask you about Brett.
00:56We know you guys got set up by some mutual friends.
00:58You went to Bar Louie on your first date.
01:00He said that went great.
01:02And then you guys actually had a second date being this holiday party that your friends
01:06were throwing.
01:07And he had a really great time with you.
01:08I mean, he called your guys' connection, quote unquote, beautiful.
01:11Yep.
01:11Which I think is a, we don't hear that a lot from guys on this show.
01:15So we thought that that seemed like a good sign.
01:19And now I guess he's been reaching out to you, trying to set up a third date and can't
01:23get a hold of you or you're not responding.
01:25And we kind of want to know what's going on.
01:28Yeah.
01:29So we went to the holiday party and he asked me to be the designated driver, which, you
01:35know, should have been the first telltale sign.
01:38And kind of throughout the night, he was floppy.
01:42He was rude.
01:43He embarrassed me.
01:45And essentially, he just drank too much.
01:48You know, it was embarrassing.
01:49I've been around guys like this before.
01:51So I'm sitting there having PTSD.
01:53I'm having flashbacks of exes that I don't need.
01:57And, you know, quite honestly, it's just a huge turnoff.
02:00Okay.
02:01So I kind of thought maybe that was a possibility that he might have got a little bit too tipsy.
02:07Yeah.
02:08I mean, it got worse.
02:09So we're walking out to the car and he didn't get in the car right away.
02:14And instead, he pees in our mutual friend's bushes.
02:18What?
02:19And I'm like, are you kidding?
02:20You could have gone back in the house and use the restroom and come back out to the
02:24car.
02:25Oh, my goodness.
02:26To him, I guess it seemed easier to pee in the bushes.
02:29I mean, it was mortifying.
02:31Did you say anything to him right then?
02:34No.
02:35So he got in the car and he was just so out of it.
02:37Instead, I just kind of looked at him like, what are you doing?
02:40And he didn't get the hint.
02:42Were you the only two outside?
02:44Or was there everybody else out there watching this?
02:47No, they were inside, thankfully.
02:49But I mean, could have at any point, a neighbor could have walked out.
02:52They could have walked out.
02:53I mean, it's just in and of itself, it's an embarrassing thing to do.
02:57Okay.
02:58I get that.
02:59Wow.
02:59This makes a lot of sense.
03:01Tia, we did not hear that side from Brett.
03:03Brett actually sounded like a very mellow guy, but it sounds like he kind of turns it up
03:06a little bit.
03:08Yeah, I don't want to be his babysitter.
03:10Yeah, I get it.
03:11Don't want to be a babysitter.
03:12I totally get that.
03:14Well, Tia, we actually have Brett on hold.
03:16I want to bring him back on because he did not tell us that.
03:18Uh, Brett.
03:19Oh, my God.
03:20Oh, my God.
03:21I'm, I don't even know where to start.
03:23I am so sorry, Tia.
03:25I, I cannot believe that happened.
03:27I don't even really remember that.
03:29I mean, that's, that's kind of a big red flag.
03:31You don't even remember.
03:33I don't, I don't remember it.
03:35But you are so right.
03:37Uncalled for and gross.
03:39And, and I really, really apologize.
03:42I, I'm embarrassed.
03:44Yeah.
03:44I mean, you should, you should be.
03:46I mean, Brett, is this something you, I mean, honestly, are you a guy that drinks quite a bit or?
03:52No, actually, that's what's kind of messed up about this is I don't really even drink.
03:57It's just like, you know, on a first date, I had a couple of cocktails.
04:01Uh, but then we went to a holiday party.
04:03So I was like, oh, I'm going to, you know, cut loose a little bit.
04:06Uh, I guess I cut loose a lot of it.
04:08And I'm, I'm really sorry.
04:09Yeah, you know, you were a gentleman on the first date, but on the second date, it's really
04:15telling when someone starts to drink and it shows really the truth.
04:20And I don't want to see that again.
04:22I can tell you that, um, this is not me.
04:25This, like I just said, I don't, I don't really ever drink.
04:28It's maybe like two or three events per year.
04:31And this just happened to be one of them that you were there to witness.
04:33And I'm, I'm so sorry for that.
04:36I don't know.
04:36Like for me, when people show you who they are, you have to believe them the first time.
04:41Oh, I had no idea that this was the issue.
04:44Now that I know I'm, I'm deeply embarrassed and I'm very sorry.
04:48And if there's any way you could, you know, find it in you to give me another chance, that
04:54would be awesome because I'm not a drunk guy who pees in bushes all the time.
04:58That's not me.
04:59And I'd like the chance to show you that.
05:03That's good.
05:05That's a start.
05:07I mean, Tia, is this something you'd be willing to do is give him a second chance?
05:10I mean, he does sound remorseful.
05:11I'll give you that.
05:13Yeah.
05:13But out of one, one of two days, he peed in the bushes.
05:16So right now he's 50, 50.
05:20Yeah.
05:20You know what I mean?
05:22So it could potentially escalate.
05:24And I don't really want that to be a part of my life.
05:26So I'm pretty hesitant to go out with him again.
05:29I give you my word that will not happen again.
05:32Oh, look, I think we had a really good time the first time.
05:36And if you're saying that we don't have to drink, that might be more of, you know, of
05:42something that I could I could potentially do.
05:46Well, OK.
05:47All right.
05:48Yeah.
05:48Would you be OK with that?
05:49I mean, maybe taking the alcohol, the equation here, Brent.
05:53That is fine by me.
05:54I don't even need it.
05:55All right.
05:55Hey, here we go.
05:57All right, guys.
05:58All right.
05:58Well, here's what we'll do.
06:00Tia, I think that's very cool of you to give him a second chance.
06:02Brett, obviously, you know why Tia was a little bit thrown off on a first date.
06:07That would throw me off or second date, I should say.
06:10So let's do this.
06:10I'll put you guys both on hold.
06:12We'll get all your info and we'll set you guys up on another date and we'll pay for it.
06:16Thank you so much.
06:17Yeah.
06:18All right.
06:19Very cool.
06:19Hang on, guys.
06:21Well, here we go.
06:21Those guys are going back out.
06:22I like that.
06:23I'm shocked.
06:25Are you shocked?
06:26Yeah, I am.
06:28I mean, like she said, one out of two dates.
06:30He did that.
06:31A lot of people have been there where it's like, well, that was definitely not me last night.
06:34Sorry about it.
06:35But it sounds like he likes to cut loose a little bit.
06:38So a little.
06:40Yeah.
06:40Let's see what you think about this.
06:41800-992-1099, 800-992-1099.
06:46Hit us up.
